Here are two serious thoughts,

You can't change the people around you so change the people around you!

We are so often too busy doing the things that don't matter that we miss the things that do - follow your heart.

When you are down to the last m&m you are pretty much stuck with just an m.

I tried to be serious, I did the two as promised, but I just couldn't help myself.

Love ya,

Sally

Listen up out there!

Taps impatiently on inside of computer monitors across the playground!

When you are averaging less than one thought a week you need feedback!

Help me out here, I'm starving for attention! (Judging from my waistline, I'm not starving for anything else!)

Wiping finger prints from inside of monitor screens.

I do love you, all of you,

Socially Impoverished Sally

Well it's been a week and time for my thought for the day (I am a very slow but deep thinker - not Deep Thought, Kelly Ann).

I have decided that it is time to put a stop to apathy, if you would like to help let me know, whenever you feel like it - no rush.

I'll just be over here napping.

I'd love to respond to your thought, but I'll do it when and if I can get around to it. Too many things I have to do before that, but I can't remember what they are... B)

I agree. I feel like the following bit of doggerel applies to me:

A man has a little Liszt,

He doesn't know where it iszt,

He is sure it will be miszt.

(My dad loved this rhyming quip.)

Since you are our writer in residence......Sir Are You Speaking In the Past Tense?

Past Tents, Oh no we're way past that we're sleeping in Bungalows.

Who said that?

And in what movie?

While we are bombarded by the media about the violence, hate and greed in the world, I am amazed to see the generousity and kindness that so many of us display each day.

Look around you when you go out each day, how many people do you see that are going about their own lifes without bothering anyone else.

When I was in college we had an all to rare snowstorm overnight and I had a rather steep hill to climb - the few sand trucks had not made it here yet.

The cars ahead of me had stopped on the traffic signal and were stuck - I have always been a kind hearted person so I got out of my car and went to the car at the top of the hill and started to push, two more men came to help.

We pushed nine cars up the hill and everyone had left when I got to my car and it was stuck in the snow - 1973 Camaros had no weight in the rear and traction was iffy in a slight dew.

I had helped everyone else and now I was stuck - perfect!

I looked up and one of the men that jhad helped push the other cars was approaching my car the other was sliding down behind me on the other side - they had walked back down the hill to help me - an act of kindness that I have remembered for thirty six years so far - I never knew their names but I can never forget the laughter and fun we shared pushing those cars - the sheer joy of helping and then to be helped - that's what life is about and what goes on every day but doesn't make the news.

Love for all,

Sally

I haven't thought for a while so my head doesn't hurt and I've been pretty happy, but gosh darn it - someone made me think and it has been such a downer!

I always try to find the bright side but sometimes I realize that it is impossible to see the bright side in total darkness!

Like finding a rainbow in a thunderstorm at night!

Sometimes I feeling I'm in living in a cave and not the pretty Carlsbad Caverns sort to cave but the small holes that Bears like to hibernate in.

I don't want to be hibernating!

I have spent so long in the caterpillar and chrysalis stages - I am ready to be a butterfly!

Why do there always have to be so many obstacles?

And why do I always have to worry so much about how others feel when it is my life?

Every time that I am forced tor re-evaluate my life I am more determined to transition than before.

Money may not be the root of all evils, but the lack of money can certainly prolong them!

"Those weren't funny at all, Sally!

We all come here for you to cheer us up!"

Well life is tough and then you die!

"Not what we were looking for!"

OK, Some people see the glass as half empty, others see it as half full and I just see it as dirty!

"Not going to accept that!"

Alright, If a plane crashes on the Canadian and United States border, on which side do you bury the survivors?

Neither you never bury the survivors! (They tend to fight back more than the others!)

If you build a square building and all four sides have a Southern exposure if a bear walks by, what color is it?

White (you're at the North Pole)

Can I go now?

what's wrong with darkness sometimes? the womb is a dark place, the inside of the chrysalis too

i like thunderstorms, so does RainBird, beauty is simply a change of perspective sometimes

then wake up, you are not a bear, you are a butterfly, and a beautiful one at that

I have spent so long in the caterpillar and chrysalis stages - I am ready to be a butterfly!

that's what all caterpillars say just before they emerge with wings

Why do there always have to be so many obstacles?

if there weren't you would never be strong enough to become who you are

And why do I always have to worry so much about how others feel when it is my life?

because you are a good caring person

you don't have to be funny all the time, that's not what we come for, you just have to be yourself, that is why we are here

Well life is tough and then you die!

but so the F*** what, just because it's tough doesn't mean you can't enjoy the ride

"Not what we were looking for!"

that reminds me

when i was a girl

i used to LOVE Rainbow Bright

anyone remember her?

They tried to keep it out of the news but she was in a terrible limousine accident while leaving an awards program.

Sadly there was a little bit of brain damage so she is now known as Rainbow Dull!

A perfect example of VDH! (Very Dark Humor)

Love ya,

Sally

When I was a kid I once thought that half the people were male and the other female. Now I am not so sure.

But I guarantee that sterility is inherited! If your parents cannot have children, neither will you!

Well it's been a couple of weeks now time for another thought for the day.

I just sent a very similar thought to this one in a PM to Jacci, but I thought that we could all use this:

Enjoy today - there's plenty of time to worry later!

Love ya,

Sally

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie
