Walking

Hey Gals,

Well i'm back after being gone for a while. I've been talking to a close friend of mine and today she was talking about the way women walk. She mentioned it's pretty much so there's a sway in the hips. Now I had to have leg braces when i was a kid to help me learn to walk right. I ended up walking with my feet going heel to toe, in the straightest possible way. Is there a chance I'd be able to end up with some what of a sway.. or since i actually walk in about a perfect straight line, it'd be hard pressed.Just thought I'd get some clarification.

You are already pretty much walking female if that is what you do. My toes tend to hit the pavement first in my girl shoes. A man strides, a woman walks. Shorten your pace to about the width of your shoulders and you should be fine.

Wearing heels quickly brings in the toe heel walk. Also notice the extreme walk used by models in the runway. Each foot is placed not just in front of the other but across the other. This caused an amazing sway. Perhaps practicing this at home would help. I wouldn't try that walk in public. It is an extreme but might help to get to the desired sway otherwise. It is more than a little difficult here on the farm.

Hugs,

Charlie

I have heels but they are a small sized heel. When I go shopping on Tuesday I can definitely will get some comfortable heels. For me that's about a 3-4 inch heel that is a wide heel. But Charlie.. I will definitely try that at home.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is you can walk heel to toe and still look feminine. Allow your body to loosen up because women walk with their whole body . Allow your shoulders to move a little more and your hips will sway on their own.

Vicky is right in saying shorten your pace a little. One trick I used was not to step straight forward but right foot slightly to the left and the left foot a little to the right creating a slight and nearly one foot in front of the other affect and you will start to develop that sway . Remember women walk with their whole body and it is alignment with the cosmos hun. they and we are music in motion. And charlie is right I fight a slightly wider heel is a great way to maintain balance until you get comfy hun. But most of all know your body and what is safe for you. We don't want a sister getting hurt.
