I am quite a fan of Terry Pratchett.

At the moment i am currently re- reading his books (I have most of his on my shelves)

The one I have just finished is called 'monstrous regiment'

Its funny as well as having a cross dresser FTM element.

If you enjoy a good light harted read then this could be the book for you :)

Pratchett is my favorite author and one of the few I can read over and over. He has so much built in that I find something new or some small joke I missed almost every read. My whole family are fans and have read every book. We keep wearing them out and having to replace them.

I read "Monstrous Regiment" before I finally let myself face who I am and transitioned and again after. I saw things I had not before and from a different perspective but it is essentially more about women and societal expectations and limitations than anything else I think. And that we see what we expect to see. Hard to define Pratchett books really. Like life itself they are complex while sometimes seemingly simple.

Have you read "Steam"? I haven't had a chance to get it yet. The only Pratchett I don't have.

Some of the BBC series and movies of his books are really good too. Like "Hogfather" which was not my favorite book but was excellent I think as a movie. You can find most on YouTube but not the new "Going Postal" which I have heard is great.

Gosh I am so in love with Terry Pratchett. I originally started with his Wyrd Sisters, picked through all of the Discworld books focusing on the witches, and then finally went back and started reading everything in order.

Though my all time favorite Pratchett book is only about 2/3s by Pratchett himself, and then 1/3 by Neil Gaiman. This book is of course Good Omens and I will probably be recommending it to everyone I ever meet for the rest of my life.

Terry Pratchett was amazing author! We will miss him!

But there is a ray of light! His amazing world will continue its existence and Pratchett's soul will live via the Discworld's stories.

Me and my boyfriend read together "Little Gods" and I was amazed of Pratchett's talent.

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️

Yeah, if Trump wins, they'll just flip it again.

Nope.  He is merely a tool for them to get a foot in the door.  Any other "conservative" president would be fine - on the off chance he doesn't actually run. Trump's "policies" change with his whims.  Look how he's trying to back peddle on abortion.  The only thing he stands for is himself.
