Finally Full-Time.....

My first day officially of last Monday (10.06.2014) as Emilee was incredible and a lot better then what I could have imaged.. The people who share my offices all were calling me by my new name, and I had others reach out to me via email or our internal IM chat program saying how much they support me and how they think I am so brave I am to be my true self in life. I was VERY nervous this morning when I walked in the office (even though I am generally the first one there in the morning since I get there pretty early LOL) but as the day went on the nerves gradually started to subside and I just a lot more at ease. I was still nervous especially for going into the girls bathroom for the first time, but I was lucky and it was not being used at that moment. I am sure I will not be as lucky the next time around :-P

I do wonder if anyone ever has a bad first day - it must really set them back!

Don't worry about the bathroom - The more relaxed you are the easier it will be

That's outstanding, Emily!! I'm so glad that you have such supportive colleagues and that everything went well. It is only the beginning, hon. Many more good things will happen, I'm sure. Please don't worry about the restroom. You're there for the same reasons everyone else is, and I doubt anyone will give it a thought.

It's been almost 2 years since I first used a male bathroom and I still hesitate, it's just one of them things but hold your head high cos you're in the right place

Don't bet more than packet of sugar for a cup of coffee that the bathroom will become a nasty situation any time soon. I had more guys afraid I was heading into that RR and showing me where the women's room than I EVER , in fact NEVER have had about using the girl's room.

This is a day you will remember. it gets easier but i do remember the excitement made me even more aware of the joy of living as myself. Glad it is going so well. The ladies room is yours as much as it belongs to a cis woman. Take your stall and sit proud.
