How Big Problem Is A Heavy Skeleton For A Man Who Wants To Go Through Transition?

Goeden dag ! Ellen,

It's possible Sakis's English is not fluent enough for her to express in the correct term when describing her gender disphoric state.

Ellen your English is great by the way...mind you most Dutch people I met when living in Holland spoke 'better english than me does!" :D

Metta Jendar :)

BTW,

Where and when have you lived here?

XX Oh sorry in Holland we do 3 X remember.

Hi Metta Jendar,

What you mentioned can be the case. But I still think that finding an qualified Gender therapist will be the first thing to do for Sakis.

There is so mutch one can do to become more female before taking any kind of "medicine".

What do you thinK?

Well about my English, in the workinggroups a participated for the last 20 year, thay called it Dutshlish!!

Maybe the Duth are to much direct to the point. But all my friends and colleguas helped me to make my writings correct English. By the time they finished with that I have no clue what I said ;-)

In many cases in the past few years when I was asked "where do you live"I answered KLM Airlines Row 7 seat C. That was not of the truth, maybe a only a sew rows :-)

Kind Ellen

Sorry for the typo's Dutshlish=Dutchlish, Duth= Dutch, not of=not far of, sew=few

Oops doing to many things at the same time.

Kia ora,[Hoe gaat 't ?] Ellen,

You are right Sakis should find a good therapist but I think Sakis is like many who are just coming to terms with their true self- embarrassment, guilt, and fear of humiliation and of the unknown is stopping them from doing this. However when Mother Nature decides it's time ie, she turns up the 'mental' pressure to 'conform' they will have no choice.

From what I gather The Netherlands along with Scandinavian countries is in the forefront when it comes to treatment of transgender people [even Germany I believe has got a reasonable standard of care in place]...the Human Rights Commission here in Aotearoa [NZ] is looking at ways of improving the 'standard of care' for Kiwi transgender people. At the moment it's not bad but could do with improvement.

I lived in Rotterdam back in the late 1970's I have fond memories of Holland, I remember seeing UB40 perform at a free concert, I can't remember if it was in Den Hauge or Amsterdam-all I can remember is it was an open air concert ! [This was before they became famous].

Your Dutchish is really good-much better than my Engutch...the similarities between English and Dutch still blows me away, for example " How late is it?" and "Where come you from then ?" It sounds almost the same in Dutch.

I take it you travel alot by air...Home/paradise is where you make it-be it an airline seat, hotel room or like myself in the paradise I call Waiheke Island where life 'shore' can be a 'beach'! :D^_^

Tot Ziens

  • 1 month later...

Hi to all again, I am back to the forum after quite a big period of absence...

During this period I continued the diet which I had started.... and now I weigh 97 kilos... when I first came to the forum I weighed 106 kilos and when I started the diet a few months ago I weighed 114 kilos...

Unfortunately after losing all this weight I realise more and more that I have a quite big and broad skeleton.....

After all I am no longer "fat"( as I said I weigh 97 kilos and my doctor says that I should weigh 91-97 kilos in order to have a "normal fat percentage") and yet I look bigger than most of the men I see around......

I feel quite disappointed since I am afraid that I will never "pass" as a woman...

On the other side the ( few ) "big" and "heavy" pretty women that I see make me think that possibly there is some hope for me..

Kia Ora Mak and congratulations on your weight 'reduction' REMEMBER you didn't lose weight you've just GAINED an healthier weight for your bone frame...Things are looking up for you and things can only get better...The type of clothes one wears can drastically change ones body shape and create an illusion regarding ones size...Lots of fashion shows on TV teach the art of deception-that is how to camouflage ones shape and size....I would suggest you watch fashion shows on Greek TV and buy some fashion magazines..plus it will help just by looking at other Greek women in the street who are similar in size to yourself and take note of what they are wearing...Life's full of opportunities good luck...and don't forget to THINK POSITIVE!

Sup singly, a superintendent prevented a student within the transgender community from changing current name, to the new name in which the student identifies with, I don't know how far back this story goes, but if you Google it under Oklahoma along with "student name change" the article should pop up. I'm not transgender, but I can relate to the process of legally getting a name change done, it's a lot of paperwork from court, a lot of traveling, and expenses depending on the laws from each state.

No one seemed to pay attention to me other than a young woman who complimented me on my skirt and an older gentleman who smiled at me as we passed each other.

Wow, I guess it’s the dat to be in trouble.  I’ve been hit twice by the ASM today and it’s my day off.  Why didn’t you, followed latter with a where is the.  Made me realize that I do t want to continue working long enough to pay for it. I guess I’ll just to have to stick with my 20 year old car for now.   I suppose sooner or later only one of us won’t be able to drive anymore.  Since I am older you might think it would be me but at this time i am the one that does all the driving except when she goes to church or the store when I’m at work.  She hasn’t driven anywhere since February and hasn’t driven more than 10 miles in perhaps a year.  Yet the “good” car was purchased for her not for me because she couldn’t drive the Jeep which we bought strictly for her because she wanted it.  But it turned out I was the one that really liked it.  Can’t win.

Had one like that one time that would bite you on occasion.  Got rid of that thing quickly.

I have been told that I "pass" better than I realize. I hope that is true.

Good morning :)   I have coffee today, but the cup keeps leaking (I guess the cap isn't able to fully seal or something), so I keep having to wipe up the sides lol   Almost finished all my missing work for school, which means if I do a bit more work, I should be out of trouble with my parents (not even that bad of trouble compared to when I was younger, more just an annoyance haha)

Sending good thoughts for you, Raine.

Good morning 😘   Finished packing up my kitchen and pantry for fumigation today. I also modified my backpack to make it day-centre compliant.  I was able to get almost 2 hrs sleep last night, so I'll survive. 😑

I'll be going to some Pride events as a spectator.  Maybe marching in a parade if they have open participation.    The event we'd prefer to go to is held in a small town with a population of less than 600.  They have a parade through all three blocks of their downtown area.  Unfortunately, this year it is on the same day as a memorial service for a friend who passed away this winter, so we'll have to miss it.  So our second choice is a larger town, population about 9000, a bit farther away.    And we are keeping our eyes open for other events in the general area as they are announced.   I dress a bit flashier than normal, with some trans bling, such as rainbow or trans flag earrings, a trans symbol pendant, and a handheld trans flag to wave.  Political sentiment is turning against us, but public sentiment here is still strongly on our side, so getting out and showing the flag, both literally and figuratively, is important.
