Wow! Can't believe I'm here.

I'm sitting in my hotel now after 24 hours of flights, drives, sitting, walking. I'm pooped. Tomorrow I have my consultation with my surgeon and on Friday July 3 (Thursday night US Time Zones), I'm going under the knife.

Yeah, I'm a little too tired right now to be able to think about it more, but I'll be posting here in this thread as the week and the rest of the month goes on. Today was uneventful, so now I must rest.

Hi Ashley, phew, that's a lot of travel but are now there and ready to go - you'll be amazed how quickly the time will fly by and suddenly you'll be waking up and it will all be behind you. I'm now 4 days post op (last Thursday morning was the op) and can't believe how quickly time has flown by.

Take things nice and easy, eat and drink well (until you have to fast that is) and I wish you all of the best Ashley.

Thanks all so much. I just had my consultation with my surgeon and everything is looking up and up. I will say that it was definitely odd standing there with my pants around my ankles and my shirt pulled up to my boobs, full face of makeup, with everything else hanging out for the world to see. Even more so having him take the before and after pictures for my file.

I'm very excited and will continue to post as I learn new and fascinating things.

Oh wow. See, I've been out of touch for so long that I didn't even know you were having surgery. Congratulations. I am sure it will all fly by and honestly I'm gonna simply be looking forward to getting some real food in my stomach after it's all said and done.

Thanks very much Ashley, I think the best advice I could give you at the moment is to make sure you drink plenty of water and keep as hydrated as you possibly can (especially over there in Thailand (can be extremely humid over there). I think after your op, you will probably be on 'light rations' for a day or two and to be honest, you probably won't feel much like ordering in a pizza. I didn't. It's not that I felt dreadful but rather I simply didn't have much of an appetite. It's returning now but even still, I woke up this morning with a terrible headache and that's after drinking loads - my head is only now (after a few hours and breakfast) beginning to feel normal again.

Keep yourself hydrated Ashley.

Wow. Can't believe it's been more than 2 months since these posts.

I am 2 months post op now and everything is sailing smoothly. I hardly have any more pain. I don't need the liners to keep my clothes clean. I don't really have any blood now. The stitches have all dissolved. Life is simply settling down and I'm happy to report that all is well.

I appreciate all your words and thoughts and prayers and here's to underwear that fits
