Totally Weirded Out

I cannot function today - everyone feels like that once in a blue banana - sorta weirded out!

So here is my topic. Strange thoughts.

I keep hearing about binary sex system. Okay, i know sorta where that leads, all the shades between etc, but what is there really were three clear and distinct sexes? It would require participation of a male, a female and a.. a... a... hummmm... xmale say, to procreate.

Silly maybe, but stay with me.

So here we are in this world and we are gender dysphoric. So then we have not two groups of transsexuals, but six?

FTM

MTF

FTX

XTF

MTX

XTM

And instead of Bisexual? subgroups Bifm - Bifx - Bifm and possibly Trisexual?

Trisexual would also be complicated because of Trifff Triffm Triffx Trimmm Trimmf Trimmx Trixxx Triaam Trixxf Trifmx

Am I leaving anyone out?

Androgynous? Whoa - what whould that be?

Intersexed?

Cross dressers would have TWO secret closets if they 'super' cross dressed.

An how about relationships? A hethero sexual female would want a male and an xmale - "normal"

SO what is now a LESBIAN relationship? Woman-woman-woman? What would a simple woman-woman relationship be?

And so on.. fill in the possibilities

Would the Christian Wrong condem us all for not being in the image of GOD? I mean the Father, Son and Holy Spirit? And which is which?

Would a cross dresser who only cross dressed one sex a more 'morally correct' person than one who cross dressed two sexes?

And if there were four sexes?

I think the best solution is there is only one sex, whatever you feel yourself to be. That works best.

YIKES - Lizzy has lost it again!

this is very confusing. i want to know what X looks like, that would be awesome. but i cant even keep up with the terms we have. i dont know a lot of them as it is. but i guess X people would be bi in the traditional sense. and both straight genders would go after X. thats hardly fair <_< and then there would be trisexuals. but would that mean straight people are all bi, in order to procreate? hmm...

i like this topic, its confusing and fun. but i guess female-female-female would still be lesbian as well as lesbian. but i guess we already have thresomes  so this can already be proven.

but for the religion condemning, i'd say that anyone deviating from their birth gender, be it male, female, or X, would be seen as sinful. just my ideas.

Hee hee

Gotcha thinking! This is sort of a satire on sex terms. I mean we can't agree on two - what if there were three???

Lizzy

Amelia - Zab - think outside the box on this!

Skyy - X would be soooo sexy that m and f would swoon, jumping each other [and x] in passionate abandon!

I would be X! I'm already very different from male and female, so why not?

I still have no idea what your talking about.

Lizzy is losing it again.... or lost it a long time ago...

I think the better way of thinking of it is this way. There are two genders: male and female. But it is possible to characteristics of both genders, making you feel in between. You have one gender that is dominant, but you can have many characteristics of the other gender.

FTM and MTF really aren't genders either. They're conversions or transitions.

Just my two cents

Hi Lizzy,

You really had me going there!! MTX, XTF and such... and four sexes!! Holy cow! But I was brought back to earth by your last statement (quoted above).

I am glad you made the last statement, because my head was about to explode!!

Yeah....Lizzy is good at this sort of thing...gets you thinking and the answer isn't 42, either!

I feel that the number of genders is endless....all the way from - to + and everything in between!

She's a sweetheart that always thinks outside the box!

Don't let her night of not being able to sleep turn into yours....LOL....

I love you, Lizzy...now, quit thinking!

If you want to know where the X-Men come from, - Marvel Comics! :D

You have to forgive Lizzy for her thoughts on trisexuals, at an early age she fell off of her tricycle and hit her head (three times)!

And for all of you who try to "think outside the amorphous blob of confusion."...

Their is an answer and it lies in the trinity of Christian beliefs..Christians say they believe in monotheism.yet they have three separate entities they worship..the Father(MALE)

the Son (Androgen) and the Holy Spirit ( Amorphous) and they intermingle the Holy Ghost is never identified as male nor female so their is sex#3 moving and changing to suit the needs of the other two entities.........so there are the possibilities for different sexual orientation...................endless..................and why is Jesus androgyn.........he appeared as a male but never had contact with women and hew treated women with respect and kindness that was unprecedented........A SHOT IN THE DARK :P

HUMMMMM - now "I'M" trying to think all that through!

Hey - look at all this as a science fiction story where there is actually a world where three sexes are requires for procreation.

And what is a transsexual there? And do they have TRISEXUALITY?

And as to 'X' ? I didn't know what to call 'zir' so I wrote 'xmale' - hee hee

And - and - and - so it goes... We are a two sex world? We can't even agree with that... so remember how I closed it:

"I think the best solution is there is only one sex, whatever you feel yourself to be. That works best."

Sally - if I fell off a four wheeler? Quadsexual? Wow - busy person!!!

Dee Jay - slept like a baby last night (woke up every 4 hour and cried - grin)

Mia - Christian Trinity always seemed strange in a supposedly monotheic belief.

Zab - computer nerds like predictability

Bernie - sorta got it

April - KNOWS I lost it a long time ago - says so

Karen - also gets it

Amelia - you can be X if you want to

DeeeDo - is already X

Skyy - is sooo smart and is still thinking maybe the answer really is 42?

Sorry - I am a visual person - not a math wiz although I can do math blindfolded and backwards -as it was one of my dual nature inheritances for some reason (plus seven years of physics, structural engineering and such in college - dean's list!)

I mean that 'X" is a third sex - TOTALLY imaginary - NOT related to anything here at Laura's - think of it as a random number - or an unknown, undefinable quantity. This is really speculative fiction - nothing to do with mathmatics.

Zir is one of those insane attempts to degender pronouns. Look in Wikipedia.

Are you related to April? Is Zab a brother? I feel this family connection - hummmm

Lizzy was raised 'free-range', never corn feed in a pen - I don't exactly think in straight lines, more all over the place.

Just ignore me!

Haha, I suppose so. Because if the problem isn't predictable of the computer then I have to chalk it up to "random crappy PC errors!"

as for the comment about people of male and female swooning over X. i think i just might collaps upon sight. all the best of both... Deeedoo, you MUST be X :P

i like the idea one gender. even a scale on one axis, positive and negative, isnt accurate for those that are more than one gender. its like being racially blind too, if we see one, no discrimination agenst gender, transgender, or sexuality. that would be ideal.

i have a very random theory on the holy trinity of christianity. it representing mind, body, and soul. God is the mind, controling what happens and creating events. Jesus was the body, a living flesh of God to carry out His work. and the Holy Spirit is the soul. it is what is responsible for the feelings of peace and contentment when God is embraced. it sort of is the moral radar responcible for feelings when dealing with morality. all just speculation, i in no way have studied the history or religion, but this is just what pops into my mind when i think of christianity. :D

and i guess to explain this topic in math terms, all of this is purly hypothetical, X doesnt exist. but imagine that what we do have, is an X and Y plane representing our genders. i know this doesnt explain ALL genders correctly as i said before, but assume it does. lizzy is saying "what if there was a Z axis". this axis also penetrates the origin, but the image is 3_D. Z is straight back and straight foward, without deviating from X=0 and y=0. now it is already confusing enough with the vast amounts of infomation that can be contained on the XY grid, but if we move into 3-D, it just gets crazy. now you have 3 points and 3 variables, and that is just nuts.

better to just let gender be X, and all we see is X. not the X she used, but X in my example. i put her new gender as Z.

if this is still way too much, dont sweat it. i love these abstract problems :D i've got many friends like Lizzy, so i'm used to diving hear-first into the infinite void of :blink::blink:

and yes Lizzy, in the end, it has to be 42 :D

Wow Lizzy you got me thinking and my head spinning  . For me there is really one sex, the one i know i am not what someone else says i am are or thinks i should be. I don't like labels but everything has labels these days. Your possibilities are almost limitless but you did leave a couple out, asexual and pansexual and probably others that i can't think of at the moment.

Paula.

Skyy you got it now! Formulas for sexuality!

Don't talk to Lizzy, she's:

Y+Y-X (cosign Z)(sign Y)(Tangent X)

X+Y-Z (Tangent Y)(sign Z)(cosing X) =42!

And you know how they are!

My head hurts now so I am not going to think about a third gender ever again! :(

Love ya,

Sally

I am so happy with Maybelline products. For my basic needs, I love their Magic Eraser. I used the app to dial in the best shade and it works great just -- even as a very light "foundation"

I think this can be a big part of it. There are times when I just don't have the experience or expertise to respond.   Is there a specific post we've missed @Ladypcnj?  I remember that my intro post had less than 10 responses. Some of that has to do with timing, too.    I've also found that the more I posted to various threads the more responses I've received. But, I can tell you that there are times when almost no one responds to my posts. Don't take it personally. Keep posting where you feel comfortable and people will get to know you.   It really is a friendly and accepting place.

Oh, the guilt can be overwhelming, can't it? It's kind of like the joke about the difference between Protestants and Catholics.   Protestants have sex without guilt.   Catholics have guilt without sex.   It seems as if guilt is just a natural by product of our gender identity confusion whether we have any awareness of it or not. We feel different and so we blame ourselves for not feeling as others say we should.   What a tremendously uplifting moment it is when we can finally shed that guilt. Bask in the relief, M.A.   And having the right therapist seems so crucial to me. I had, fortunately, a very quick and strong connection and trust in my therapist. She was a life saver for me. Literally.   Again, welcome to TGP!!

For me, with my former therapist, it was almost more like a frog in a pot slowly coming to a boil - I don't think either of us realized the scope of what we were dealing with until fairly recently. And she helped me find my new practitioner, which was incredibly helpful too <3 It feels very strange and new - I've framed this, whatever this is, as 'being bad at being female' for literal decades, since puberty really, and the idea that maybe it's not my fault, that I've never done anything 'wrong,' is a little overwhelming.

I had fun doing this a few weeks ago.  This is how I got rid of -money:     This music player code of mine is really working out nice.  My music collection is all mp3 files.  I put them on my server and then code things like that to play them and loop them.  And then I coded an app while I was in the mental hospital in 2009 that I use to transcribe my music with.  It's a Windows app and you can browse to an mp3 or use a URL to an mp3.  Once it is in the program, it looks like a normal music software timeline and there are sliders to slow it down and speed it up by octaves, semitones and cents, so you have complete control over what key the music is in.  And you can create loops in it and I added a feature a few years ago where it remembers all the settings so when you open it again, you still have the same loop set with the pitch settings.  I've been putting my favorite recordings in it lately, setting the funkiest loop I can find and then slow it down an octave or more.  Then I play drums to it and piano stuff, or pennywhistle.  I like playing drums on the floor.  Even though I got rid of money and well, I should have done that decades ago, I had a good time the other day hitting my bin of GO stones with my drumstick.   I don't know if I'll get flagged for self promotion here or not.  You know, I'm a musician and I'm just sharing ideas for how to listen to and enjoy learning to play music.  I'm not the only one who has made tools like this.  I'm really geeking out on my roommates drumset.  I learned to play in the 90's, but I haven't had a set since then.  I've been playing 5 gallon plastic water bottles as hand drums for 30 years.  They are relatively inexpensive and common and they sound great.  Very fun to play along to your favorite music.  And if you can slow the music down, it can make it easier to play to for some songs.  As advanced as I get as musician, I still enjoy just meditating on playing some simple pattern over and over.  Lately I've been playing an Emin7 chord going to an Fmaj7 chord on the piano.  It's all white keys.  You just play an E and then skip a key etc...  Every other key for 4 notes and then just move that all up one key for the Fmaj7 chord.  I just like the droning quality of it.

During COVID lockdowns without any place to go, some neighborhood buddies and I would play Life for hours (imagine a bunch of middle aged men playing that game, it was a hoot - all sorts of 'house rules')... anyways, as much as I could get away with it, I would choose a pink peg to represent myself... sometimes even had a female name to go with it... this was before I even really pondered whether or not I was trans ...   I was very determined to do this ... so interesting to look back and see all the threads pointing me to where I am now, though it has come as such a surprise as well...   Easy

Thank you all for the helpful responses... I realize some of HRT is for mental health -- like I said above I really am enjoying the ride so far in that regard!   Guess there is a part of me that wants to have my cake and eat it too. I want to have a nice feminine shape within reason for my age (fat distribution - you can kick in whenever you want!!). Yet, I am still not out to family, so I want it to be subtle enough as I go along that I can cover tracks when necessary ... Not the ideal situation but it is what it is ... maybe when family realizes that this is not making me into a monster, they will come around to some of it. I can hope, right?   More and more, I just want to look in the mirror and see a female body staring back at me ... I want female clothing that I put on to look like it fits me to a T... (and by T, I don't mean testosterone, lol)...    EasyE

Good afternoon M.A.   Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums, I think you'll find that there are a lot of us who had their first therapist reconsidering our story and recommended us to gender or LGBTQIA specific therapist. I made my first therapist cry after asking me what was my worst experience or memory. She was not prepared for the can of worms I brought to the couch. My second therapist is a gem, she's my age and knows how to work with my thoughts.    My two kids were also involved in the arts programs in school one in theater, the other combined art and modern music.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
