Hope you're okay Jody, we saw on the news about the bomb in Bangkok. Horrendous.

You take care and look after yourself, okay?

Hugs

p.s. If this has been mentioned elsewhere, sorry (I've only got a few minutes before I go out).

Thanks, I'm OK. 7.2km away. We are all cautious now. Jody

Yes i'm a little less sore every morning. By the end of the day the swelling has been coming back and today i need to get out and get food for us and grain for the goats. my helper will be home to unload and i'll flirt with the guys at the grain store so they'll load but just moving around is going to be a bit taxing. I'm not as intrepid as my friend JodyAnn ripping through rain storms on the back of a scooter going to a meeting!

I made the mistake of getting on the scale this morning. I guess stopping spiro and the additional fluid i'm packing outweighs the loss of my T factories. Pity i always thought i had big ones.

This gal is going to have to watch her intake a bit more.

Hugs,

Charlize

Stop makin' me laugh so much.

I really hate doing the laundry.

JodyAnn started it, social media really kicked in, and now Charlize.

Hope the trip for supplies went well Charlize,

I've put on a little weight since my surgery too, so I know where you are coming from regarding the watching the intake. I think it should settle down again once the activity returns to normal.

"it all sounds so swell!" That's the only problem Jamie. It's the swell or rather swelling. The actual incisions seem to be healing quickly without too much discharge or pain but since they remove the cords that deliver the sperm everything is swollen. The good news is that if i can stay off a bike for a while (Listening JodyAnn?) the swelling will keep going down.

My shopping trip went well. I came home with groceries, 400lbs of feed, a nice new cutoff tool for the air compressor, but maybe best of all 5 dvd's from the library. Now i can spread my legs, put my feet up(stirrups would be so comfy) and watch movies.

It's definitely getting better but that hard seat at my meeting last night certainly got a bit ouchi. I made the mistake of wearing a knee length skirt so legsakimbo wasn't a ladylike possibility. Note to self.....long skirt for my Friday meeting.

Hugs,

Charlize

I thought i'd write a bit of an update. I'm virtually healed. There is some residual tenderness from the incisions but it is less and less noticeable. Otherwise swelling down so i can cross my legs! I have noticed a good bit of swelling in my ankles. I'm going to have to talk to my doctor about that one. I mentioned it to Dr. McGinn's office and they suggested i might consider going back on spiro till i talk to my doc. Ugh. I did take a single dose for several days but it didn't help. I'm also putting on weight which scares me. I've gained 6 pounds post op. and am at 174 now. It's still well down from my high of 5 years or so ago but i really am going to have to watch my intake. Getting older and also having no T must lower my metabolic rate a good bit.

One fun thing was when i put on a pair of tight jeans the other day. With a bit of a tiny tuck everything was gone and i know longer had that "i'm packing" look. This procedure didn't do everything for me. While in the shower i still prefer to not look down. I can live with that. I'm in a position where i have to accept my present reality and fortunately i do feel better and happier than i can remember.

Thank you all for being here. The support has been critical for while this was a physical change the feelings and emotions are so important as well. I couldn't have done it nearly as comfortably without you.

Hugs,

Charlize

Love ya Charlize. Thanks for the update, and I'm happy you're healing well. The tuck is insane, huh? :D

I had a bit of an emotional upheaval after mine. My endo explained it was because I was on a low dose of E,and basically had no T,I was lacking in sex hormones of any kind. He offered to give me either a small dose of "top up" T,or increase the E. I chose the E,and settled down quite quickly. Just something to remember if you do end up having issues.

Hugs hon.

I'm glad to hear that you're nearly healed, Charlize. The things you're experiencing, emotionally and visually, were the same for me. Yes, it isn't a perfect solution, but its an acceptable solution, and it really does make a big difference in terms of comfort and self confidence. I hope your docs get a handle on the swelling and weight gain issues. In my case, I discovered later that a lot of my weight gain over the past few years was due to my insulin intake. Once I was able to cut back on that, my weight dropped a lot.

HUGS

I don't know if it helps any Charlize, but at 10 weeks post op, I've put on around 6lbs. I'm not sure if it's the lack of T or whether I'm eating more (I'm pretty sure my intake is back to where I was pre op) and I'm doing as much exercise. So, I'm keeping an eye on my weight too.

Is it warm in here? All this business of tucking and showers is giving me an erection I don't have! Giggle. OK I'm bad, I come by it from human nature.

What about a tucking fashion show? LOL! You ladies are wonderful, I'm glad you're my friends. Hug. JodyAnn

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
