Drag Makeup

I've really, really interested in trying drag makeup for a few months now, and I can't wait to do so. But I've just been a bit curious about something. Can one call themselves a drag queen if they don't do performances and stuff? Whenever I look up tips and stuff it always mentions putting together an act or something. I just want to be a queen that's only in it for the makeup haha. Sorry if that was a dumb question, I just wanted to be sure. I'm very excited about this though. I think it'd be lots of fun.

I would think there is no harm in making yourself up as you wish. Saying that remember you will have more difficulty in the cis world unless you foo to a club or gay bar scene where somewhat over the top dressing is seemingly a part of the culture. It can be fun. I know that from personal experience.

Lots of Youtube's start with Willam Belli he has some with top Hollywood makeup artists. Drag makup

is not only about over the top, its also about passing as a woman even if only on stage.

Good idea testing makeup at home anyway. Get to know how everything works together before going out. Also pushing things too far to see where the limits are. I agree with youtube. It is also worth checking female makeup sites as well.

I have done "Drag" in the past, usually with friends who are part of The Imperial Court System which does charity work in the LGBT community. One of their major fund raising events is their Coronation Ball. I do not have a specific "Act" since all of Drag is an act really. I know the Court System has a chapter in your state and while they are heavier on the Gay side, the people I know are quite welcoming in a strange way. The only down side of them for me is that now that I am post op, I can only be a Princess and not a Queen!! That's OK really, since cis women who put on Drag Make-up and costumes get the same title.

What about people who are genderfluid? I might still take hormones and bottom surgery but I won't always be a woman.
