When you go for blood and urinary tests for the surgery and the nurse explain to you how to do the urinary test using female parts and doing all the moves on herself like a mime. Then you just laugh inside and think to yourself : "I must pass because she would surely never go trough all of this for me, or would she? Maybe she think i'm new to this, you know freshly post-op? Or maybe she's just funny like that"

it was a funny little trip for me, I'm starting to like blood test too much with hrt and surgery... They always succeed to make me laugh. The last time the nurse knew I was transgender and still was thinking I had menstruations....

I love it! I can truthfully answer yes and give a date. I also then say I've only made it through the first trimester. Pseudocyesis pregnancy shows on my medical records.

Also to that note: it was a blast going to the emergency room (for getting construction debris im my eyes)and having my wife fill out those very tough questions on my admission form papers. I thought she was going to go nuts or just quit when she had to fill out info about my menstral history and other stuff she never gave thought to before! ( My I.D says F and I am pre-op.)

Luckily there was no issue down stairs and i didnt need to explain things in the treatment room!

Ya just never know how life is gonna come at ya! Lol ! Fun times!

Thanks for sharing that, hon. Yes, there are all kinds of unexpected things to deal with when it comes to medical tests. I went through that with the x-ray tech on my first mammogram. She never guessed, and I didn't tell her. Since then, though, I've been more up front about being trans, just to avoid any confusion.

I was having a check with occupational health at work recently. My response to the question 'Are you pregnant' was not yet! That was a bit of a joke with the nurse as I am male at work but I think the joke went a little further as with my feminine looks and makeup the nurse seemed to understand my thinking
