I havent been on this site in a very long time. I stopped living full time about 2 years ago and find im more depressed than ever. I definetly regret lossing all the friendships i had. I am just reaching out for help to see if anything comes back. I am still taking my estrodean and wouldnt ever stop but social im male again. I am pretty much in the same situation i was before i started hrt. I just feel real alone and sad. I was going to post this in the depression forum but figured it was more a real life test because of the choices i made. I have complety disconnected from all my female friends that knew me as joanna. I tryed to find a therapist but that is a process in itself finding the right person.

Hi and welcome back Joanna,

Under our resources tab on Laura's main page, you canfind a listing of gender therapists under transition resources. I just checked and there were quite a few located in Connecticut.

I myself have been living part-time since December, and became full time in May when I at last came out at work (the only place I wasn't out). When part time, I just hated having to be him at work and would get depressed from it. I'm  pretty sure I could never go back at this point.

Hugs,

Marcie

Hello and welcome back!  I'm sure you had your reasons two years ago but it seems like you've decided to start anew.  Social transition can be hard so don't let it get you down.

We are in the process of reviewing our resources list.  I'm sorry you find it to be out of date.  If you google this link and input your location you'll find a number of active therapists.

Sorry i didn't say more in my first post.  I was called away.  It must certainly be difficult to go back.  I can only imagine not just what bit must do tom you but your loved ones.  I have been living as female for some time now.  Interestingly i've found that i can be quite masculine at times even as a woman.  I have grown to know and enjoy cis women who are quite similar.  They also do things that society sees as masculine.  The difficulty for me is in accepting the fact that i'll always be a bit of a mix and won't ever really "fit".  I'm not the perfect husband or father.  I'm just me.  I slowly am growing to accept that.  Being here has helped.  I'm not alone and neither are you.

Hugs,

Charlize

I'm sorry to hear about how rough things got for you :( I don't have much experience with your exact situation, but if you ever need a friend/someone to talk to, I certainly can be such a person :D
