How does the post srs vagina produce liquid? Is it the same as what cis-gender girls have?

I'm sorry, I feel very embarrassed to ask this but I don't know... V_V

It only produces moisture to a certain relatively fixed degree. It does not increase to the same degree as natal women during sexual arousal. It is very similar to post menopausal women,  hence you would need added lubrication during active penetration so that does not become completely uncomfortable.

The medical aspects of how that happens is a question better answered by your surgeon. I can say from experience that all the hygiene and maintenance of other women will also apply to you. A knowledgeable and understanding gynecologist is a great asset.

I do know that every aspect of my vagina and it's functions are the same or indistinguishable from other women in my peer age group. That to me is a very unexpected and wonderful experience. I would never ever want that old plumbing returned,  irrespective of anything sexual. Most men can't get that concept, probably because they think we are motivated by some desire to receive their...  Well you know... Not! For me the whole prize package is feeling normal and not abnormally male. Giggle.  Hug.  JodyAnn

I'm surprised... I found that it can get a lot more wet than I expected >_> I can't imagine how much liquid cis-girls make >_>

Unfortunately I don't know how to contact the surgeon anymore and I'm too nervous to get a gynecologist >_>

I wonder if even the smell is the same too? I have no experience, I hardly even knew what vagina is like before I had one >_>

It would be a good idea to get an OB/GYN. Not only with the downstairs, but also with the girls to check for breast cancer. One of the worst myths for trans girls is they can't get breast cancer. Depending on age and years one hormones   You'll need someone you can trust should you have any problems down there.

PS: Nothing to be embarassed about, I'm pre-op so I am curious about it.

Self lubrication will depend a bit on what method your surgeon used to create your vagina.  My surgeon used some of the mucous tissue from the urethral extension in my penis to form my labia minora and part of my clitoral hood.  This produces enough "wetness" that I can dilate without lubrication, but it is less comfortable than with other lube gels.  You will develop "vaginal flora" <bacteria> that cause the inner surfaces to have a more feminine smell in the area due to the action of the bacteria.

DO get a gynecologist to help you though since the bacteria that are normal to be on skin can get overactive and make you sore.

I was surprised too.  And it does vary somewhat depending on the occasion, yet less than most natal women of a younger age. I have had a substantial example base to experiment with and my findings are that natal women vary significantly.  Some are a flood, all are sufficient in moisture for prolonged sexual penetration,  the exception being a medical condition or post menopause and age.

Maybe I'm a little over zealous with my penetration, but if vigorous, my natural moisture lubrication is not enough. That I can speak from experience.

Pardon please,  but I can't imagine not having my own OBGYN. I have two! Giggle. (in the same office, long story) in an office of all female gynecologists. I trust I can tell them anything. All the staff love me. I would never go to an icky male gynecologist if avoidable.

If many are available in your area,  you can shop for one without embarrassment until you find yours.  Just think of it as your membership to the ultimate girl's club. Vajays are truly marvelous, that doctor can be your best knowledge resource.  Hug.  JodyAnn

Fragrance? Yes mostly identical. One peculiarly to me is most of the time I  have very little or a pleasant odor.  If I  am hugely stressed out,  such as the death of my father recently, I  had some very unpleasant odor for a short time.  Somehow I think they were related.

There again that is a conversation for you and your OBGYN. An occasional iodine and water douche helps keep me well balanced down there.  My doctor suggested to avoid that too often. Too frequently kills off all the needed good bacteria. There again, same as natal women. Well,  that's the conclusion of expose' of me today.  Giggle. I still concede, I'm my very own interesting science project.

I am following this thread with interest. I am pre-op. Well,I had an orchi just over three years ago. Shortly after that I switched from patches to implants, which took my E levels from 400 and something to around 1000. Ever since,I am constantly damp down there, and the moisture smells vaginal. I don't like it tbh.

I womder if hormone levels have something to do with it all. Although I have no idea where it is all coming from.

Thank you so much. I thought I was the only one experiencing that and never said a word, that was without an orchi. It didn't happen often,  but did happen.

My guess is based on the fact that through HRT male glands switch off and female glands switch on. There is much conversation about brain wiring,  little about body wiring. Cool beans! I love this biology stuff.

I thought it might have been intersex related, seems it's standard equipment for all bodies. I hope that scares the hell out of the manly men! I'll just tell them somebody spiked their beer with estrogen LOL!

I use lubrication gel stuff to dilate...

It gets natural very wet after certain ... "other stuff" >_>

Although the default state isn't dry, I'm not sure how much of that is from leftover dilation lubrication >_>

The problem with getting a gynecologist is that I find it difficult to even talk to anyone in general >_>  ... I need to improve with that but it's very difficult >_>

And I can't even get my wife to understand that wanting the SRS isn't about having sex, it's about feeling complete.

I've not heard that myth anywhere. In fact besides reading about it, my Endo told me that I will have to start receiving mamograms after the first year or two.

Wait, what's the normal E level? My last blood test I had a 500 and was told thats FAR too high.

Yes, guys can actually get breast cancer too.  I worked for a gentleman years ago who had a good case of gynecomastia. At one point he confided he had mammograms every year and had a good scare once when a mass was found.

I have already had a needle biopsy done on my right breast after I had my VERY FIRST mammogram, where they did find some intrusive tissue.  So there!! :harhar:

I think your doctor would be the one to make that choice with you.

I was shocked at how much moisture I can produce.  I assumed that it would be zero but if I get aroused, I get pretty squishy in the clitoris area.  Obviously not enough to support comfortable penetration of any size but certainly not the desert I expected.
