I am really afraid now! The biggest challenge in front of me - my wife!

It has gone well with my inner journey, I got in contact with a local transgendered mtf, got plenty of help there.

Even my long time friend took the news very well.

Now I’m coming to the most challenging part ever - facing my super conservative wife!

And conservative isn’t an understatement at all! She is a Christian beliver that believes that living out as homosexuals is sin.

And when she finds out that her husband is a woman... well. She will be homosexual if she accepts... the irony of it all!

I feel very trapped in a prison right now. Some part of me wants to stay male because of the fear of what’s to come.

But I really know that I am a woman and the whole situation gives me such turmoils...

I cannot stay male. How shall I play this? I really don’t know. I love her, not her beliefs.

I’m Christian too but believe in freedom for us all whatever gender identity or sexual identity we have.

Please help me out, how shall I play this?

Every relationship is unique so I don't know what to say, except to be honest.  The chips will fall where they will.

Thanks Jani!

It seems though that the risk for divorce is very high in my case if I go through with transitioning.

It is a burden to carry for sure this coming out process.

I have two choices if I want to go through with it;

1. Straight on approach - take it all at one time...

2. A slow build up towards the coming out. Gradually planting the clues.

I’ve been adopting Option 2, over last two years, bit by bit, first was extending shaved areas, then full body and lastly full body laser, am on anti-androgen meds and very recently (on the weekend) went clothes shopping with my wife. It’s been a slow sometimes painful process as the last thing I want to do is loose my wife, there’s been many ups n downs, lots of heated debates but so far I seem to have her on my side - yes it’s a big gamble, but as everyone keeps saying ‘we only have one life and there’s no dress rehearsal.

Yeah like Jani says honesty is the best bet. I’m sure if you read through this site you’ll find 100 people who’s significant other felt they had been betrayed because of the secret they had kept. It’s scary to tell someone you are afraid to loose. But if you don’t you’ll have a bigger chance of losing them anyways. I’ve lost plenty of relationships because of my secret. Not this one though. Ive never kept any secrets from my wife. And it’s the best thing I could’ve done.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

One big step has been taken regarding telling my wife.

I did a drawing about how I envision myself as a woman.

I just showed my wife the drawing. She asked first who this is. I tried to say that I'd like her to have that hairstyle (the Xena Warrior Princess hairstyle which I like). She then said in a statement; this must be about you how you envision yourself. She doesn't really like it at this point but it is a step forward :)

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!
