Good morning.  Glad to see you all here.

Ready for a positive productive Saturday.   Laundry, exercise, and a run to the dollar store are my plan to start.

Take care.

Coffee with fresh bread from my nearby bakery. Mmmm. I'm in such a good mood, starting to feel better about myself and able to express my hidden inner self more, mostly thanks to the support and encouragement from all of you. You have my warmest thank you's, hugs, and deepest appreciation.

Logging out now. I think I've done enough damage. It's 9:28 pm on the second of my three days off. I'm not sure I like losing an hour to daylight savings. I'm still going to feel like I've lost something. I know it's just an hour. But at my age every second counts.

Good night.

OMG I just woke up at 350am and thought it was Monday morning.  I went from zero to hero in a panic as I had no clothing picked out or ready for my first day fully presenting female at work and it will be my first early AM makeup “attempt”.  Lol.
I’m planning to give myself an extra hour until I can get better and quicker at makeup.

Luckily I realized it’s Sunday and I still have 24 hours before I need to go to work.
Holy crap what a relief!

I was a good "doobee" and set clocks ahead, went to bed early, now up early and enjoying the huge full moon beaming in the window while sipping my coffee.

Rumors of me being a scatter brain are only mildly accurate!

Congratulations on your impending milestone.  I remember what it felt like. At first getting ready can feel like a chore. You want to be flawless.  After a while it becomes all part of your daily routine. I still fuss. I have my cell phones alarm set to go off at 3pm so I'll have plenty of time to shower and put myself together. I don't apply much make-up, less is always more.

When I worked for a call center I wore a blouse, skirt and high heels to work everyday. I got my nails done every week at the Salon. They looked nice but caused me to make a lot of typos on my computer keyboard.

I hope you have a wonderful First Fem Day!

Well a follow up, went and saw Onward (cute movie but kind of a sad ending) and instead of a hike my wife surprised me with a trip to Sephora. Got a couple different primers to try and ended up with some free mascara.

How can that be the case?  I hope what they did solves the issue.

Haven't been here and posting much lately as I've been well under the weather recently.  I think I'm on the mend now.

Have had a busy weekend, and today was packed full of activity - laundry, shopping, mean prep...  There's been some downtime, but mostly on the go since 7am - oops, make that 8am.  I wish we would drop this habit of messing with our clocks twice a year!  I've been having a hard enough time getting a good night's sleep without having an hour slip away during the night.  After getting the eight-year-old off to bed, my wife gave me a good-night kiss, and to my delighted surprise, she called me Misha! It felt so nice.  I thought I had found a good name that fit me, and now I know I have.

That sounds so awesome!  I've heard good things about Sephora.  I would love to do one of their tutorial thingies.  I tried eyeline for the first time yesterday, and I plainly need much more practice...

Well, I am glad you're feeling well enough to be online.  Being unwell can be such a drag.  I am just beginning to feel like I am actually winning against my own illness.  I was starting to worry that maybe I had one of those antibiotic resistant strains...

Good for him, and ggod for you!  I know it is SO very hard to quit, but it really is best in the long run (and the short runm for that matter).  I wish both of you the best!

Aaarrrgghh

Cant sleep.
Alarm going off in 2+ hours.
Im Excited for my first real go out in public as my true self.  Going to be a full day at work too and I will need to roam the hospital trying to locate different pieces of medical equipment to test and inspect.  So I will be very seen by many everywhere.  No hiding in my office anymore! Nervous a bit too not gonna lie.

I just hope I get out of the door without my wife starting in on me.
She is NOT a morning person in the best of times but she is already mad at me from our talks yesterday and I’m kind of hoping I’m still getting the silent treatment.
Plus my new morning routine has me up well before her and she claims I wake her way to early before her alarm.  From the other end of the house.  umm   Ok.

So anyways. Wish me luck.

Hope you have a great day Shawna.  I remember the stress as well as the slow acceptance by others but mostly by myself.

Today we are forecast to have a warm sunny day.  I'm cleaning up after sugar season.  That is a long process of cleaning the evaporator and other equipment in the sugar house, then off to the woods to pull taps and flush the tubing.  Between that a plumber coming for some work in the house and a farmyard full of hungry goats with their kids i'' be a busy gal.  I'm getting a bit old but certainly am enjoying life now.

Hugs,

Charlize

Good luck! But I believe you've got this!

Sleep continues to be difficult for me, too. Too many things bouncing around in my head. Bizarre dreams when I do sleep only to be disturbed enough by the dreams to awaken with a start. Almost every night.

But morning coffee clears the cobwebs, the sun is coming up without supervision and life goes on.

Happy Monday! ? Back to work tonight after having 3 days off. Looking forward to it cuz I'm gonna go a little different tonight. For the first time in 2 years I'm not going to wear a wig. My natural hair has gotten long enough to run a curling iron through. It took me about an hour.

Hope it looks alright.

Y'all have yourself a rooting-tooting day!

Hi everyone

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night. I suppose the nap I took in the afternoon didn’t help.

got up at 8, been getting up at 7 so really no change.  But made coffee and had some took my morning shower back n our bathroom for the first time in a week.  New tile floor is finally in.  Still have work to do, but it’s clean and fully functional again.

sorted laundry and started the washing.  Cleaned the kitchen, emptied the dishwasher, vacuumed just a lick and a promise.  Anyway despite taking a day off from working in the bathroom I’ve had a productive morning.

hrt I’m taking is finally taking hold.  Body hair is growing much slower than it used too. I think there is the beginning of breast changes but that could be just wishful imagination.

@ShawnaLeigh I wish you a great day at work.  I’m sure everyone will be accepting and if they aren’t that’s their loss, not yours.

This morning I went to see my vascular surgeon at the Hospital network and the staff and doctor all referred to me as ma'am. It seems the new settings on MyChart are already current and staff are following my preferred pronouns and name (my appointment papers all have my obviously male name on them).   It's quite refreshing until returning to the day-centre where they again go out-of-their-way to call me "Sir". 🙄

I guess this is the only plausible reason?  I can't imagine any other, really.  I think it is the intent of the Russian government to remove all LGBTQ+ people from their society.  I guess that will mean most of their female population, since I've noticed that Russian girls tend to be sexually "flexible" (at least)

I absolutely disagree with the idea that God makes people to be transgender.  Genesis 1:27 says that God made people - male and female He created them.  Plural.  As in...people generally.  Also notice that God creates animals according to their kinds, and that Creation was orderly.  I don't find the "both/or/and" interpretation to be consistent with God's personality as described in Scripture.  God doesn't seem to operate with ambiguity.  It feels like using "lawyer language" to find something that isn't there.    I do not believe that God made me as I am...intersex/trans, unable to reproduce naturally, and with wacky plumbing inside me that by some miracle manages to still work.  I believe that while God gives the soul, our biological life has been an ongoing natural process after Creation, something which He chooses not to control.  Yes, God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and all that.  But He voluntarily limits Himself in our world in this time.  He doesn't make everything or fix everything... cancer and war and such are proof of that.  If you believe in God creating people intentionally to be transgender, then you might also believe God intentionally creating some kids as disabled, or some to be stillborn.    I believe the path forward for Christians is to recognize and accept the effects of Original Sin upon all creation. There's a difference between God avoiding involvement/manipulation and actively creating a situation.  God doesn't make mistakes...but at this point, there are a lot of things that God simply doesn't make at all.  I don't believe He is as detached from Creation as the Deist "watchmaker analogy," but I don't believe He is controlling every little detail either.  There's a balance, sort of.  Disagree if you want - people have debated the issue of control, free will, and creation for centuries....it will continue to be discussed until the end of time.   I'm not sure if I was supposed to be a boy or a girl.  I guess when I get to the afterlife, I'll find out.  Because all the crap that happens here due to original sin and a broken system will be fixed.  The world will be set right, and I believe we'll all be either male or female as God originally wanted.  Some of us might be surprised at what that looks like.  As for me, I'll be happy with either.  I just want to fit in my body.

I've been fortunate in growing my hair out. I had a few thinner spots - typical spots - but have been using Hims' hair growth treatment for about 6 months now and it had made a tremendous difference. I'm not sure how long I'll let it grow but I've been thrilled with how it's turning out.   Today I'm wearing this olive green high waisted 3/4 balloon sleeve midi dress with white sneakers.     I also received these today. Found them on eBay. I've been looking for a pair of brown riding boots but finding them in my size is hard and typically expensive. These were on end of season sale plus they gave me another 10% off so I ended up at about 40% of retail. They fit perfectly (12M). Unfortunately (or fortunately) boot season is over so I'll put them away until Fall.

Your brother is the person who has decided that "sin" is involved because he has lost control of a part of his life by you taking on your authentic self.  It is not because you have committed any Sin per se, but because he is no longer controlling your life, evangelicism or other wise.  He is using formula words and ideas hoping to re-gain that control over you.  Your Roman Catholicism vs. his choices of religion would be enough to do it in many many cases.  Your being Trans is just one more area of his losing his control.   If your brother were also Roman Catholic, I suspect he would be the same way about you on just the Trans issue itself no matter what your priests would tell him -- he has lost control of your life and is afraid he has lost control of his life.    Family members of any religion who fear loss of control will often cite scriptures they believe support their Position.  If Bible verses are needed, Matthew. 10:34-8 which speaks of division in families over religion would be a casual point directed at your brother's control issues.
