I’m still in bed. I normally would pick up kids at 6:30 AM. We then would arrive at The Farmhouse. Have breakfast and conversation. My trans daughter would tell me about her week. My son would also tell me about his day. Then we would go to church. They both work with the children there. All 3 services! Amazing kids! During first service I drive out and have myself a Peppermint Mocha. I then would do another chapter on my story and post it. Then return with kids for second service. Third service I either go to the creative team class when we have it or if it’s nice take a walk and pray. If it’s not my weekend I drop them off. I miss this time with them. Quarantine has taken away so many things. I work from home and miss my girlfriends at work. We would all have lunch and play word finds in one of my girlfriends tablets. I also miss one of the leads at the bank who always complimented me on my clothes. What do you guys miss?

What a great resurrection this spring has been.  If i focus on the beauty of spring instead of the dread of getting sick i've got more time to enjoy the world as it awakes from a winters sleep.  The goats all went out to pasture yesterday evening.  So sweet to see the mom's grazing on new green as the kids frolic in the glee of space and life.

Hugs,

The Easter Bunny (a.k.a. our awesome neighbours) was busy this morning.  We found a bunch of colourful plastic eggs along our driveway, with buttons and things inside appropriate to both me and my wife.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Kathy that was so sweet of them!  They are special!

We will miss hiding plastic eggs for our granddaughters to hunt.  I sent my son and wife a montage of prior Easter photos last night.  He told me they will hid some eggs for the girls which is sweet.

Its sunny here and will rise to the low 60's.  Nice day to be out in the yard.

Aww Kathy that was awful sweet of them.

They are indeed wonderful neighbours, and we are truly lucky to have them next door.  They were the first people I came out to, after my wife, and they helped me get started on my road to transition.

I had thought about an Easter dress but ended up with jeans since I’m stuck at home.

I am not wearing an Easter dress, but I am wearing a skirt.  I find them more comfortable than pants, they look nicer, and it’s almost warm enough to wear one.  And, my recovery requires me to wear “loose clothing”.

I’m in grey girly fleece pants and a pink hoodie.  Black ball cap. It’s wig washing day and I hate it!   Lol

I do not own any dresses yet but have a few skirts. Though have not worn those since I don’t have shoes for them.  I need to go shopping to try on a few pairs so I can order some online.  I hate to order without knowing my size for sure.

I had one on this morning, but had to take it off and wear an everyday dress. My dog decided that I need to hold her and sit on my lap! She sheds like crazy and I don't want my good dresses messed up!

Wig what's that. Luckily I still have all my natural hair. Haven't had a major hair cut in 2 years. I love my natural curls.

when you finally shop for shoes. I figured out that if you add 2 to your male size you are in the ball park.

The wife and youngest went to visit my middle son and his family. So for a while it is just me and the wienie. Patrick our long hair dachshund. However he is on his pillow.

Nearly completed the first drawing (yay!).

Hope everyone had a nice day. Severe thunderstorms and hail have swept over the area off and on today.

Tonight it will get down to freezing and be cold for the next few days.

I wish you all a good night's rest and a beautiful morning to follow.

Sad sad day for me.

Today was to be the day I had my surgery for an Orchi.  As everyone knows surgeries were cancelled and no schedule dates given.

I'm quite upset over this today with the additional pain from the lump issue I have been crying about for months now. That my dog crushes yesterday evening jumping into my lap.  OMG I thought I was going to die.  I did cry and could not help myself it hurt so bad.

I'm at work now but really do not have my heart in it.  Its rainy here today so its already a gloomy day for everyone.  However I am going to try and pull myself back up, help some people and have a nice day.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Shawna I’m sorry to hear that I hope this ends soon so you can get your surgery done. I know how bad it hurts I’ve had 4 surgeries down there over the years. Try and keep your chin up hon.

Hi

well the weatherman hit it n the nose.  8:30 and there has already been a tornado warning for near Charleston. Very windy lots of thunderstorms and occasional heavy rain. Not going to be a good morning.  A least the coffee is made.

Had planned a reveal for yesterday kind of a mini public coming out.  But obviously that didn’t happen.

I’ll have to find another time.

A night of thunderstorms and tornadoes here.

Survived the night though.

Chugging coffee and "back to the drawing board!"

Got accosted in a grocery store parking lot this morning by someone out on a petition drive (in my state, citizens can gather petition signatures to advance ballot measures; I'm always a little cautious about encountering petition drives "in the wild" because unless it's an issue that's been talked about *a lot* it can also be used as a way to just gather voter information).   ANYWAY, the person with the clipboard is presumable cis male and aggressive and I'm AFAB, genderfluid, dressed pretty androgenously this morning and this guy hollars across the parking lot asking "young lady" if I'm a registered voter.   Informed him I'm neither young nor a lady (guy was at least a decade younger than me, maybe more) and wasn't interested in the petition anyway.   "Oh, so I guess you're just offended then."   "YEP!"

WOW! Did she give a reason at least? It's not like it takes up that much space.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Yeah, it would be awesome to have something new, and it would fit the space pretty well.  We have kitchen counters big enough to process whole deer, goats, large amounts of vegetables, etc.   Unfortunately for me, I couldn't even convince our "den queen" to let me have counter space in our downstairs kitchenette for a Keurig.  🙄

I think the biggest mental block to acceptance is the language that keeps us othered and on the fringes, rather than woven deeply into society. But I also think that's changing fairly rapidly. My youngest is well into their young adult genre novels phase and I'm impressed (and kind of amazed) at how many of their mainstream traditionally published novels have LGBTQ+ themes woven in. That child is 12, and I suspect that as the kids who are in middle school along with them grow up, they're just going to expect and demand better than we've done as their parents. They've seen it in the fiction they read and have every expectation that it will be part of the life they live.

Heck they took off three grand on that one. That is massive! Then again your nest isn't small either so I guess would definitely come in handy.

Congrats on T <3   The height problem I think is an issue for a lot of trans guys, unfortunately. I know more tall cis women than short cis men, so it especially stands out to me whenever I'm in a room. I'm hoping for your voice to drop soon, good luck! (I've heard it feels a little bit like a cold? If that's true, hope it'll feel better quickly and that it's worth it!)
    • LittleSam
Hi Raine, my obstacles are that I'm 5"2 and always will be at the age of 34. I have size 5 feet, so it's difficult to find shoes, not alot of options, have to go to the teen boy bit. My voice was an issue, but T is starting to help me stay in the lower range of my fem voice, and I'm hoping it will drop soon.

I just like how our posts complimented each other.  Your point about publicity of pride events and that culture seemed to be spot on.  My culture and mindset is so different that I'm barely aware that things like that are going on.  I don't watch news and I'm very much into professional life and life-long learning.  There are all kinds of cultures out there.  Thanks for sharing your insights.

Here, the public image of LGBTQ+ is formed from the limited contact of the Pride Parade, which seems to always attract a few people who are into flamboyant sensationalism and inappropriate conduct, so there are arrests for lewd conduct, indecent exposure and public disorder.  Those are the people the news media always covers at the parade, as if everyone LGBTQ+ was like that.  The whole parade thing backfires, in my opinion.    Sometimes these types show up at protests as well, and of course, that is what the news media picks up on.    Some people need to be taken quietly aside and told they are not helping.   I don't know if that is the biggest block, but it is there.  Lousy marketing,
