@KathyLauren it’s surprising how much Shingles shots hurt.  Just wait until tomorrow if you think it hurts now.

Fortunately, it is not nearly as bad today! :)

Just had 7AM breakfast served at church. Joined another "men's mission group", unsure how to easy break it to them there's a woman "admirer" in their mist . . . why sooo 'gendered', always "separate"?

I was still trying to live in that world when I finally realized that I had practically nothing in common with them.

I just don't get along very well with men.  I mean there's no antagonism, but it's always just, why?

I stopped trying to live up to the guy thing.  It was very liberating.

Perhaps a new thread?

It is an interesting subject if folks can keep it civil.

lol          Not trying to "live up" rather "bed down" one? "Cis" that is . . although "G" would be ok , younger even better? Ya know B&B did had a point . . and these forums tend to remind me "how different" I am daily?

I should be making coffee and/or resetting my WiFi right now but no...I'm laying on my bed thinking about Jane cause Monday finally means new Weakest Link.

It's been a long, Janeless month and I'm more than ready to see her again. (Yeah, I'm in love with Jane Lynch. Nuff said.)

Cheerleading coach. But I'm not just in love with Sue and/or her other characters. I'm also in love with Jane herself to some extent, weird as that sounds.

Nah, I think we all have or have had our celebrity crushes. For example, I had a huge crush on Carolyn Jones (as Morticia Addams) growing up.

Hugs!

@Jackie C.Oh, I figured I wasn't alone. I mean, it's not just a physical attraction to her - I have a deep, emotional attachment to her too.

Funny thing is, I've known Jane since watching Glee when I still had Netflix, but I didn't fall for her till the Weakest Link reboot premiered back in September. Even more interesting is that I was in love with the original host, Anne Robinson, too.

Well I had my meeting with hr and it went amazing. She was great. We came up with a plan to move forward. We talked for 2 hours and I was assured mean comments will not be tolerated at.

Emily, I'm so happy your HR personnel were smart enough to meet you off premises, and support you.

As for the R-Model Mack I worked on and under them for along time before I had to use creativity to get them off road to help clean up train derailments or our own CLTL crashes.

@AngelaC & @Kiera I enjoyed my time as a wrench monkey, and so did the 'Snap On' tool salesperson who I'm sure put at least one kid through college on the money he made at our shop. I also had the pleasure of working with several girl mechanics and think it's cool. #GirlMotorHeadsRock!

The coffee fee was HOT, black and strong. The bird feeder activity was slow, I think because we're having mild weather for this time of year.

Hugs,

It’s 11am here and I got up an hour ago. I can sleep regardless of the ‘every two hour’ interruptions to take my medications. I fall almost immediately back to sleep.

My wife went to the office this morning and brought back two Mocha Latté’s. While she was there she mentioned to the desk person that the recliner is extremely difficult to close and that I hurt myself yesterday trying to do it myself. This caused me a lot of bleeding and pain. They just came in and replaced the recliner with an ‘easy to extend and close’ model. Oh, what a difference! So I’m just resting here comfortably in my new recliner checking out what’s new here!?

Have a great day everyone,

Susan R?

@Jackie C. Thank you so much. I’m being completely spoiled by my wife. She has a few hours of massages owed to her when this is all over and those services open up again. I couldn’t do this without her.

@itsxanderkaidyn I loved Jane in the ‘L Word’. She is an incredible actress and I just love her feisty ‘quick with answers’ attitude...nobody does it better!

@CBabe Glad you enjoyed yourself last night...lookin’ good!?

...so I write about Jane a lot but I haven't been able to recently cause somebody totally invalidated my feelings for her last month and now I'm too scared to without feeling like I'm doing something wrong.

@Susan RI started watching that recently just for her part in it but I'm not quite there yet.

...also is it weird that I find her voice to be almost like a form of ASMR?

Not really, some people just have voices that... resonate (I'm sorry for that, I really am) with you. For example, I could listen to Gabrielle Anwar (especially without her faking an American accent) talk me to sleep every night. I just find her voice relaxing.

Hugs!

I've noticed over the last year or so I have lost interest in a lot of the "manly" hobbies I've acquired over the years.  To the pointy I have several workshops full of "stuff" that I'll probably never touch again.

@Jackie C.Oh good, I'm not alone.

It's one reason why I love watching Jane on Weakest Link so much - cause she gets to talk most of the time, I mean, and then I feel like I'm being hugged by her. ?

...sorry. She just makes me so emotional sometimes; like, I have more love for her than my heart can hold.

My daughter does ASMR videos on her YouTube, and I'm still not sure what they're doing.

I have three within a two block walk! You'd think I was in Seattle already! The one I have always gone to is the quintessential "local coffee shop" though; local artist's works on the wall, drinks named after customers and local geography, and it's run down just enough to feel homey. Also, I can bring my 20oz coffee mug in and get it filled for the price of a small! :D

Eczema was my excuse. *high fives!*   It's lovely when you get a nice interaction like that. Yesterday I got a "you're so sweet" from a man who I held the door for, I don't think he saw all of me until after he'd walked past so he only picked up on my outfit and body appearance. I was so paranoid that I used too male of a voice in return, but c'est la vie. I felt really nice after it though.   I tend to try to put in a lot of effort. If I wear make up, it has to be perfect, etc. I put this pressure on myself because I, too, don't have a chance in h-e-double hockey sticks at "passing".  So, I try not to make myself an "easy target".

It's just the opposite here.  There are a ton of local boutique coffee roasters in this area.  There is no excuse for bad coffee here, which is why I am always surprised when I get mediocre truck-stop coffee in restaurants.

It’s a huge difference, the laser has done wonders. I still have some stragglers, but I hope a few more sessions to try to zap those. Mostly what’s left are the white/blonde hairs, they still need a shave but they don’t really cause me much dysphoria.   I do use makeup, I barely go out without liner and mascara these days. Don’t tend to do a full face, but when I go for a little coverage I use tinted moisturizer and a little concealer under setting powder. Here’s me today, with about as much makeup as I go out with (forgive me the wings, I struggled today…), I went and got my hair done, so I had to look good for the ladies.

This is me as well. I wear dresses and skirts exclusively.  That is pretty obvious.  When I get misgendered, it's not by mistake.

These places have the best food.   Unfortunately, the one I used to go to thinks I'm going to hell these days.

I'm glad to hear it! Fruits and veggies time! I just had a greek yogurt with flax meal and blueberries and now I'm feeling better about that! I am so glad you're OK!   Just finished my second cup of coffee after an appointment with my normal stylist, I haven't see her since November! First time see her since going femme full time. I'd texted her before the appointment, just in case, but she has been super sweet the whole time. Not much hair ended up on the floor, but I'm going to need the back trimmed before long but for now I just got some shaping done.   Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. My guess is your neighbor won't be paying the medical bill...

Doubt it, most people against the T are also against the LGB, I am bi and it all seems to intersect one way or another. Trans people are "new" in the eyes of the public so its just a weird thing for them all.

I have the same feeling as you. I often wish I had started HRT earlier or was on puberty blockers, maybe I could have been taller than 5'7. But there's nothing you can do about it now, that's life and as much as it sucks and seems pointless at times you have to work with what you are given. "Passing isn't the end all be all" I hear a lot but to me it is everything, as much as that may sound like an insane position It is just how I feel.   Anyway, on the topic of your mother, mine had the same sentiment and mostly still does along with my father. Im not sure how old you are but you seem to be around my age or younger, I am 17. But most families don't know how to deal with it and they will probably see you as your original gender no matter what you do. Their comments mean nothing really because in the end when adulthood rolls around you can just leave or at least have some independence from them.   I would also not compare yourself to other males, it will eat you alive. I just remind myself that I will get there, maybe I won't be the pillar of masculinity but ill pass one day. Envy is the thief of happiness or something like that.

I can never find coffee that matches good restaurants coffee.  The closest iv come so far was when I accidentally made a pot last week with less water than I had meant to use.  But that still wasn’t right.  Now I’ve heard put a little salt in with the ground coffee or add baking soda but I have no clue how much to use.   home baked pie in the local cafe is the best, but the best Key Lime pie was from a place called The Fish House in Key Largo. One thing they do differently is the topping is meringue not whipped cream. But it’s also made from real key limes.  An advantage of being in the keys.   willow
