Good morning to you all on this Wednesday.

@Heather Nicole I'm very sorry to hear aout your mother. Sending you, her and your family positive energy to help you through this time. It's hard to avoid worrying though, even if we tell ourselves not to - it's a natural feeling when someone so close to us battling cancer.

@Willow Sorry to hear about the restless night and bad dreams. May today and tonight be more peaceful for you.

Going to be a busy day here, I need to laser-focus on a grant proposal due in a few days and the construction noise outside isn't helping my cause at the moment. Hoping to raise some needed funds to support programs in the non-profit I work at. The pandemic has been very harsh on our budgets so everything helps. I know what I'm going to write, just need to dedicate the time to get it out in a hopefully coherent way. This girl is going to need lots of coffee today...

Happy birthday @ElizabethStar. I hope you have a fabulous day!

Love,

~Audrey.

Well morning everyone. Coffee is strong and hot. And goddess does it have its work cut out today.  Ended up having to run back home because I forgot my wallet and duty weapon this morning. But I guess it can only get better from here so, have a great one!

Ugh!

I got the call from my surgeon’s office.  I have to be at the hospital at 6:45 AM!  Guess I won’t be catching extra zzzs tonight.  The good news is if I’m first in line, I’ll be home earlier.

on a better note, I got a follow-up call about Covid vaccine.  And immediately registered.  Now it’s a waiting game until they call me with a time and date.

@ElizabethStar Happy Birthday Lady.  ??

Well it’s evening so time to switch from coffee to wine lol. Cheers everyone! I’m finishing my coming out letter to my Mom this evening. I’ll keep everyone updated on how that goes in the Coming Out forum.

Thanks everyone for the birthday well wishes. Most of the stuff happened at work. I arrived to boxes of donuts that were bought in my honor, a hand made card. it was all so very sweet. At lunch I got free Starbucks. Later on I had to goto our other building to pick up my customary gift card. Lot hugs and we miss yous. The assistant accountant was really shocked when she saw my nails change color right before her eyes, she was so cute. They gave me birthday cupcakes and wanted to sing. too soon for that, for me.I feel bad but ...honestly I would have cried, I'm not ready to cry in front of co-workers just yet. I went back to my own building and things pretty much went back too normal. My wife got me typical small gift things and a visa gift card.. She said I can Buy anything I want, Even woman's clothing,. She did add a disclaimer, of course she did. She doesn't want to see me in a dress. Nothing was mentioned about skirts. She made us a pizza while I installed our new alarm system.  I and just spent at this point so Thank you everyone and good night.

@ElizabethStar sounds like you had a good birthday.

well not time to leave for the hospital yet but I’m ready to go. Just waiting on my better half.  She has to do all the work for a few weeks. I won’t be able to walk or drive. Made the coffee but for her, I can’t have any.

let you know when I’m awake, truly awake later.

Good morning everyone!

@Petra Jane What a lovely winter scene. Sometimes I miss living in a snowier climate. It's inspiring me to venture upstate or to VT or NH to ski before the winter's over but I feel conditions haven't been great this season. It's been unseasonably dry here in NYC this January.

@JustineM I wish you well in coming out to your mother, and I look forward to reading about it when you do!

@ElizabethStar It's wonderful to read about the positivity at your workplace - everyone really seems to accept you! Homemade pizza sounds yummy. I do wish your wife wouldn't force you to walk on such a narrow path. Do you want to buy and wear a dress? I also hope she's held up her side of your recent agreement to let you introduce yourself.

@Willow Hoping all is going well for you early this morning! Keep us posted.

@KymmieL Hoping you've been able to work everything out so you can start HRT! Sending positive energy your way.

Back to work on the grant today. I'm going to need quite a bit of coffee this morning, I can feel it already.

Love,

~Audrey.

That is a lovely garden Petra Jane.  I've learned to wrap our boxwoods with bird netting to keep heavy snows from doing damage.  So far we have only had one good snow this year.  It is always son pretty even though there is more work for an old gal.

Hugs,

Charlize

I haven't done any checks this morning yet as this is usually the first place I come to when I get online.  Gotta keep up with all the gossip, its what us girls do. LOL

Finally a day off. My body is not liking being on my feet for hours. my lower back after just a day is killing me. then feels better in the morning then repeat. I need to get a nice desk job.

I like to see it myself having grown up with it.   But I'm glad to not have to deal with it often.  Here we only get some very occasionally.

I love a nice gentle snow.  The kind with the big fluffy  flakes.  Which we rarely get here. Most of the time it snows  sideways.

He is looking at with a large  dose of blood thinners that  he recommends do a full dose of E.  He wants to contact my Endocrinologist to talk with him about it.  Hope to hear something later today. Getting my dancing shoes ready.

Good afternoon everyone,

Coffee was HOT, black, and strong. The mood in the house is quiet. Not Good when she clams up...

@Petra Jane I love the snow too, just as @KymmieLsays big fluffy flakes, and I'm okay with it getting deep.

Hugs,

Hi,  home, I’ve have coffee yum! Lunch, Ramen and a Kings Hawaiian roll with butter.  I used to be a barfer.  Couldn’t eat anything for hours after anistesia.  What ever they use now I’m good to go.

@KymmieL this sounds good for you. Praying that you get good news.  I won’t jinx you not happy dance until you say it’s ok.

@Petra Jane that’s a beautiful garden and the light snow adds too it’s beauty.  However, it doesn’t make me want to move north again.  I’ll keep my beach and palm trees thank you.  Our season are chilly, spring, hot as !!!! And fall.  Chilly doesn’t last very long! Hot lasts too long.

well, time to annoy my wife (ok not really) and ask for my scooter.  It’s just out of reach.

hugs

Aha! We were talking about this over Thanksgiving. Empirical evidence that other people don't only bring these out on special occasions. My nephew's thesis has been defeated.

More seriously, I'm glad your surgery went well. Going under the knife is always scary.

Hugs!

Great news Kymmie, heal well Willow.

@Petra Jane that is so lovely, do you have any wildlife that visits. I have to admit I've been watching Mr and Mrs Lumpy ☺️

On i side note I've never touched snow or seen it other than in photos or on TV. Living in one of the warmer Australian states does that. Went to New Zealand a couple of times and I felt the mountain was laughing at me or had something else in mind. Perhaps it wanted to be me before I got to see its snowy glory ?

Jackie I hope your nephew gets a second chance.

Hugs

Robin

Well said.    Although this so-called Project 2025 will not affect me directly in an immediate sense, it sends a signal to equivalent minded people and political parties around the world that it is okay to exclude minorities and indeed, to persecute them.   In my humble opinion, the far-right politicians know damn well that there is a very large cohort of less-than-intelligent people out there who are not capable of critical thinking and believe every skerrick of dog-whistling, fearmongering, "they're-out-there-to-get-you" rhetoric. Pander to their rural and village attitudes and you're on a winner!    Correcting them with logic and science won't work; they just double down and get louder with their petulance on full display.

Just waking up so I'm in my pajamas - blue/white madras shorts, a navy blue t-shirt and my sleep bra with sleep-rated breast forms.   Thank you @Susan R for telling us about your mastectomy bra and forms fitting experience before your BA surgery and how sleeping in the bra/forms helped with the dysphoria.    First, hearing about your courage to get fitted gave me the confidence and courage to go out in public.   And, second, finding sleep mastectomy bras and sleep-rated breast forms (I found a set on eBay for a good price) has been a tremendous boost to my feeling comfortable in my pajamas and nightgowns and tamping down my dysphoria and dysmorphia.

Germany has more castles than there are McDonald's in the United States. Yep, you heard that right. Germany is estimated to have 25,000 castles, and there are around 13,000 McDonald's locations in America.   In Washington state, there's a real-life law stating it's illegal to kill bigfoot and other sasquatch-like creatures.

DREAD f you’re anticipating something positive, you’re probably motivated to summon all your patience to wait for it—and sometimes for extended time periods. It may be counter-intuitive, yet in certain instances such waiting can itself be gratifying. Consider Carly Simon’s song “Anticipation,” the old Heinz ketchup ads, and—especially—recent research pointing in the opposite direction as regards awaiting something highly aversive. In this post I won’t be reviewing ketchup commercials, but I will be exploring some intriguing research on dread-infused anticipation.

So an update from me.   Had my endo appointment last night. Went very well and they are sending 3 months supply of estrogen (estradoil patches) and the anti-androgens whilst my Dr gets a shared care agreement sorted out. So happy, should start HRT tomorrow!! Cost for the 3 month supply is £70 total for me, so not too bad. Not told my parents about this yet, but them being in spain, not sure they need to know yet.   Can't wait to start, just got to think about where to put the patches now and wait for the changes...

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.
