@LindaMarie well you guessed part of it.  If the ground crew that drains the tank doesn’t get it properly sealed, the toilet waste will leak and freezes pretty quickly to the fuselage at 38000 ft.  When the plane is descending to land, there is a point where the leak will start to thaw and will fall from the sky.

the moral of the story is never live in the flight path to an airport.

well it’s 3am.  I’ve been awake for two hours.  Seems I didn’t get all the lines secure and it is windy.  The loose lines make a lot of noise.  It’s not bothering my wife or the dog, but then it was my job.  No I’m not going out alone in the middle of the night. I don’t have a safety line rigged.

oh well who needs sleep.

I'm actually with your wife and dog on this one. I mean it's kind of loud, but I find that sound really soothing. I'd totally be able to sleep through that too.

Hugs!

This is the answer to life. If it’s not bothering the spouse or pets, then it must be all good.

Hey-o.

Had a great appointment with my stylist. Got a simple trim with a taper, and a blowout. Looks great. Also got my eyebrows done. It always amazes me how huge a difference eyebrows make.

The last rose of summer. Winter rain-storm today, but a carefully selected window between rains left space for a bike ride and shopping. Works better than coffee to wake me.

cheers,

That is gorgeous!  I'd love to own a bike.  I'll have to look into that.  I used to be a runner but I think those days are behind me.  Bike riding is probably a better option for me going forward.

I'm enjoying my coffee before getting ready to go to work in my thrift shop.  I'm the assistant manager there.  I came out as trans two weeks ago and hearing everyone call me Diana is the best feeling.

Seen my cardiologist today. everything looks good. Of course out of shape. I just need to get off my dead arse and do some exercise. Cholesterol is border line between low and mid range. will revisit him in a year. Then maybe do something.

Good afternoon

I did get a couple hours more sleep.  Mostly it was a sun shade I hadn’t secured making banging on the hull.  Then, the 5 halyards on the mast were all banging. That’s the more annoying one.

todays projects anchoring the Bimini to the frame.  Attached the bottom of the outboard holder to the safety rail and reattached a vent hose to it’s through hull.  At high tide we will turn the boat around so I can easily clean the port side of the hull.  This Marina has 15’ fingers between every pair of boats.

@KymmieL sounds like your cholesterol is in check.  That’s always good. My total runs between 125 and 150 but I take a statin to achieve that.

@Becoming Dianamy wife and I own four bikes.  We used to ride a lot.  But not so much right now.  Good intentions.

@Erica Gabriel good wishes on piping the question.  It’s actually all depends on you.  Been classified with gender dysphoria?  Been on hrt at least 12 months?  Able to make sound decisions?  Nobody pushing you into it?

I got my letters last august, then backed out.  But I’m ready to go as soon as I can now.  Unfortunately life is in the way for at least the next 6 months.

I don't remember how old you are. Some insurance comes with Silver Sneakers. It will pay 100% of gym membership in most cases. If you're not sure, go to their website and put in your info to check. At gym you will need the Silver Sneakers # and your ID.

My first love, my high school sweetheart texted me this morning after I did a coming out online and offered her support as well as desired to be updated on my progress. What a suprise.

But then again, she is a kind and compassionate soul that we have maintained a friendship for over 30 years now, in some form. She's not a heavy makeup wearer from what I know, but I am sure she can guide me on fashion and self-care.

On the other end of the spectrum, my GD is raging today and the last of nicotine effects is out of my system after a week and I had a difficult time getting a clean shave because although all the grey hairs were poking out, most of the black were still flush or buried after 3 days post laser.

So I guess I'm going to have to let it go for longer after the Zap.

Either that or some of the hairs needed to fall out because foundation did it's job, but it seemed like as the day wore on, the bumpiness went down and after I took off makeup, it didn't look as bad. So I assume there were dead hairs still in because I didn't mess with my face at all for three days except for cleans.

IDK, it's all pretty weird lol.  I got an 8 hour growth from the dark hair over 3 days after one zap. I guess that's how it's supposed to work. I took pics and will talk with the tech in a few weeks.

Anyway, time to start doing the needle soon, as I am going to have to go hard as I can while my face is still tougher before HRT kicks in.

My wife just painted my toenails for me.  A pretty shade of pink.  I love that we can have a relationship like this.

I hate how I can never blow out my hair as well as my stylist ?. I had my brows waxed yesterday too. They were going all Neanderthal on me! Oh, and did I mention my electrolysis session? Ye-ouch!!!

Thanks girls. While # 3 and 4 are cute and fun looking, I don't know if I can pull it off at my age. I'm leaning toward # 2.

The one I get will also be determined by the quality and natural look. I'm going through Hair Club. I'm hoping they have something that I can try on.

@Mmindy thanks for sharing the all accessible restroom sign. It's funny how a restroom sign can be so gratifying!

@Jamie68 I'm partial to the "Eden", the last wig. I think blonde would flatter your complexion, and of the two blondes, I think the ash blonde may be more flattering than the golden blonde. Whichever you choose, I hope you feel beautiful wearing it! Now that I think of it, you can easily test what color you prefer by visiting your local beauty supply store, like a Sally's, and holding the different dye color hair swatches up to your face. (And if they have wigs the public is allowed to try on, so much the better.)

In other news, these two cuties hatched this morning. I believe they're both female (a bit harder to tell when their wings are closed). ???20211027_085805.thumb.jpg.1a88e6a76e2104e9eabc5d7e2ea30a94.jpg20211027_090225.thumb.jpg.c4dd4d50534a79447e0555b3514d9737.jpg20211027_090300.thumb.jpg.3c41dd4bacc76cbb51296131b25d9428.jpg

Something else I noticed @Ladypcnj Since I use the Unread tab, I don't see threads I've read again until someone replies to it, or the author adds something.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Ladypcnj   Some posts get lost in the busy times here. It also maters how people navigate the site. Some only look at their notifications, or tap the All Activity tab which shows them thread they've commented on. (how I see it)... I on the other hand use the Unread tag under Activity. I don't think people ignore post as much as they get caught up reading threads they've already been active in.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Oh yeah, I forgot,    @awkward-yet-sweetwhen your husband finally breaks down and decides to replace the stoves I agree a single professional stove even out of a defunct restaurant might well be the way to go when cooking for all those kids and adults. Certainly better that the situation you describe.  Or maybe from a used restaurant supply where they have professionally cleaned and refurbished it.

Wow, yesterday was a very active day.     @Birdie I hope they figure out where that’s coming from and get you heeled quickly. That it’s nothing serious.  Maybe going to the day care with a purewick will finally convince them to change their attitude.   @MaeBe  especially if you believe you are about to loose your job anyway, what’s to keep you in Minnesota ?  This could be a wonderful thing for all of you Washington State can be wet but it’s really not as bad as it’s made out to be.  If you are west of the cascades it is relatively mild not like MN in the winter time.  And east of the cascades it’s rather desert like around Yakima.     New car shopping can be fun but it can be very stressful too.  We talked about it over lunch yesterday. Strange thing is she kept coming back to the old Ford.  My response was instead of two car payments there woul only be one although I would expect it to be a little higher, but not nearly what two would add up .  Plus I wouldn’t have to continue working as long with only one as when I get the other things paid off I know we can live without me working.  Unless of course, the congress decides to mess with social security.  Right now I have three vehicles I want to look at two are at one dealer and the third at another.  All three are GMs two are newer with lower mileage but are also lower end on the GM line.  The third which is the one that most interests me is a Cadillac.  Let’s see there is a song from way back about a Cadillac and a Hot Rod Lincoln comes to mind.  Anyway it is an XT-5. I get my room and comfort, she gets her nice appointments and the ford hopefully will hang on as a spare for those occasions when we need a second car for me to go to work and for her to do ??  The downside is it has just under 80,000 miles and is a 2020 so in that regard we are slipping backwards from a 2022 with 25000  but going from a sub-compact to a mid-size.  The other two are a compact and a Midsize but neither would provide the expected comfort and features of the Cadillac.  The biggest of which are the pedals that would adjust and the seat adjustments. (My wife is 4’ 10” and I am 5’8” since my spine has shrunk.  The Caddy also has the lane safety as well as front and rear collision warning.  The mileage will go down and the engine requires higher octane gas but that won’t be too much of a drag since we can go to Murphy USA where I work or to Costco which isn’t that far away. 10 miles.  And it’s better than the Ford!   I guess we will see how this plays out later.   Willow

Two things amaze me, One how fast short haired dogs dry. Two how did you keep from loosing your glasses? I'm glad you wear a life jacket while kayaking even on smooth waters such as ponds or lakes. I'm guessing you learned a few things about landing and exiting the kayak.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Aside from the X-Files, Gilmore Girls is easily my favorite TV show. I originally watched the original airing in the commuter lounge at my college starting in 2000 because I was embarrassed to watch it at home when I living as a man. Now that I am out and transitioned, I watch it openly and wear Gilmore Girls t-shirts at work on days that I wear a skirt. For Valentine’s Day, my wife bought me the DVD’s. Yesterday I had to stay at work late because of an IT problem (I am not IT so I just had to make sure the pump stations telemetry was functioning properly before I could leave, IT did the actual work) and so I watched it on Netflix. Lorelai Gilmore inspired me to change my name to Lorelei. Yes, I picked a more traditional spelling on the name. The mother daughter interaction between them is heartwarming and sometimes hilarious. Last week I just started rewatching it again. Ironically I relate most to Luke, very rare as I almost always relate to a female character. Anyone else here love the show?

Good morning everyone,   @Birdie continued prayers for you as they figure thing out. I'm glad you're being properly cared for.   @April Marie I love the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby the bright dresses, and fascinating hats worn by the ladies. As for the mint juleps... I'll pass, they're just to aromatic for me.  We'll be watching "The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports" as well.   @Adrianna Danielle & @awkward-yet-sweet it is amazing how a new stove seems to cook food better. Cooking for 36 people is a phenomenal task, and if you're doing it on anything less than a professional cook stove. You're preforming miracles, and I wish you the best.   My yard work is done for the day, because I don't have to wait until Saturday to do it. I'm getting use to this mostly retired situation. The windows and doors have been open since I first got up and the yard is full of bird songs. I have the best neighbors because they don't start their noisy yard work until very late morning or early afternoon.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I took an involuntary swim wearing my quick dry hiking pants and shirt. Lifejacket not shown but present on the rock I am sitting on. Watson is dry now but I am still soaked. I capsized my kayak 5 feet from the shore trying to land on an island. Water in the pond was surprisingly warm considering it is early may in upstate New York.
    • Mirrabooka
@Birdie best of luck to you, my friend.   @MaeBe, nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck!

Oh I will. He loves to just sleep on the couch and sleep. Not very active at all which I'm mixed about. Less to do but also want him to do more too.
