Hi everyone

ive tried playing Vedic games.  My wife gave me a Microsoft set, granddaughters play it more than I do and they only visit a couple times per year.  One problem is since I don’t play often I can never which button does what. Car racing, Mariocart, are ok but don’t hold my interest.

Now for the big announcement, I AM GOING FORWARD WITH AN ORCHIDECTOMY.  Actually it was now or start over.  The surgeon is leaving for another practice.  Scheduled for thanksgiving eve.  After that I can stop T blocker all together.  Good thing, it’s messing with my blood pressure, too low.  I already reduced by 1/3 dose. Then we will see where we go with estrogen.  At least I know they can’t ever take it away.

hugs

happy Willow

That’s great Willow,

Be sure to follow your after care instructions.

Hey everyone.

I found myself in a bit of an awkward situation the other day. My partner had been on the look out for someone who wanted to trade a rooster for a hen. Surprisingly she found someone through our hair stylist. Anyways, I overheard my partner talking with someone on the phone for what seemed like a hour. I'm not insecure about our relationship and I'm getting to that place where I really don't care what she does anymore. Back on track. I kept hearing her refer to me as her husband and using my dead name and he/him so I just assumed she was talking to one of her friends. Well, that's I get for assuming. Turns out she was talking to a woman about trading chickens. I pointed out her that she totally did a no no and it could end up being a problem. She didn't seem to feel there was anything wrong what she said. Again I pointed out That I was going be the one to meet with this person and asked her what that was going to look like since I seem to pass even in jeans and hoodie. Eventually the time came when I had to leave for the chicken swap. My partner did say she spoke with the woman again and let her know I'm a woman named Liz. I am curious as to what she said but didn't ask. Feeling a little better, out the door I went. The whole thing turned out to be a non-issue. when I got there she looked at me and just point blank asked if we were partners. Of course I said bravely said yes, yes we are and that was the end of it. we did the trade, I got a tour of her house and wow! she has a lot going on. Between ducks and pigeons and peacocks and whole bunch of other things I can't remember. Oh yeah, chickens and parrots in her house too. So I'm still trying to figure out what my partner's problem is.  With everything that good and supportive that she's done for me, it's hard to believe that she has such a hang-up with thinking of me as a woman.

I probably wouldn't have asked her that question. It left her with the option to say no. Well you can probably wear something androgynous. Hope you can enjoy the visit. Hugs.

I have several hundred hours into that game. I have yet to finish it. I have a BAD case of character ADD even though I keep going back to "the thing that goes bump in the night." Max out stealth skill, melee skill and get the agility trick that gives your melee skills massive range in VATS. I feel like an anime character.

I think it's less thinking of you as a woman and more thinking of herself as a woman married to a woman. Her default seems to be, "I can't let other people think I might be gay," which I KIND of get. I mean back in the 80s one of the worst people you could call someone was "gay." Half the comedy in the 90s was based around gay panic. For somebody that grew up in that time period, that's got to be a rough hurdle to clear.

That doesn't excuse her behavior of course, slip-ups like that can get you assaulted or worse, but I understand where she might be coming from. My spouse reacted poorly to, "Guess what? You're a lesbian," too. Honestly, that's a point of contention with my gay friends: They think I'm being to forgiving with her while she works out how to make my happy in the bedroom. I've had a couple straight-up suggest I dump her over it. I keep telling them that I can't expect her to come to terms with a brand-new sexuality overnight.

Hugs!

So I had a dizzy spell from my COVID booster last night and went to the ER. I’m out now and doing OK. My magnesium level was off. And the COVID shot knocked me a loop. Just need to follow up with my doc and take it easy for a couple days. But at least they got my name right.

Liz I understand, I have a similar problem.  My wife can’t accept me as a woman either.  She tries, but she is too set in her ways.  She was very happy when I took my vacation from willow.  Accepting now but barely.  Just their way. They feel they’ve lost their husband to another woman.

I understand about boy clothes, Rachel, as I too don't like to wear them. I also get it about not wanting to take your sister out if it means you have to wear clothing that makes you uncomfortable. Have you tried explaining that to your sister openly and honestly? The sticking point is likely to be that she is uncomfortable seeing you fully dressed enfemme. This can be a problem, but it's NOT your problem; it's hers. When I came out, most of my family disowned me. It took a long time for me to realize that it was their issue and not mine. So, this is a roundabout way of saying do what's  best for you. If your sister can't fully accept you as yourself, then, all you can do is move on and be happy. If you don't have one already, I would suggest you find a good therapist, as these sort of issues continually come up.

Hugs!

We both will be watching the game together in our night gowns and robes.

Yeah, boy clothes suck. It takes time to replace them though. I told my partner, I need a new coat. I'm not wearing the Carhart jacket anymore unless I am working on something where I need more protection like welding.

So it's later in the day. Trying to catch up on sleep but I've still got a massive headache. Guess it's slightly better now. Debilitating. Never had any great reaction to a covid vaxx before, but it can happen, I guess. Trying to be patient with myself. Thanks for listening.

I glad to hear your feeling a little better. I know sometimes a headache can be so bad there’s no way tell when it’s getting better.

It's funny, my 25 yr old grandson told me that Animal crossing is a favorite game for gay and trans people. I guess I fit into this category.

I was pretty big into the old Gamecube version of Animal Crossing, back at the time, but the weird "cylindrical" camera of the later ones always turned me off. ☹️ Still kinda want to get back into it though.

ANCH for the SWITCH has so much better graphics than ANCL for the DS you wouldn't believe, high def., and there is always something to do. I still play both but 99% SWITCH version. I play DS one so I can go to shared island and meet other random players that I can talk to, (mostly hackers now), but still fun to talk to. In the SWITCH one you can only visit people that you know their "friend code".

Jamie68, I normally read through to catch up on the Coffee Talk, before responding if I respond at all.

This one is not one I will ever pass up. I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday. I'm happy and relieved that you feel better today. Normal life is full of ups and downs, and nothing in our transitional life is normal. The most important thing is having a support team to vent to when you're feeling the slide down a hole.

Hugs,

Funny you think that I would be able to get through more than two sentences with how bad my stutter gets (joking, of course)   My topic would probably be mythology, random Japan factoids in my mind, or a favorite story   (Best option would be a fave story of mine including a lot of factoids on Japanese myths-)

I read each of your entries and learn so much. Thank you, especially, for the TransCentralPA info. I have been looking fora group and activities where I could express myself safely and with support. I missed this year's conference but next year might be possible and I am going to look at their other events, too.

I have read numerous accounts of trans folk no longer being welcome among evangelicals.   I am here for help and fellowship not to rebuke anyone.  I can take a pretty high degree of insult, etc., and you haven't insulted me, to my recollection anyway :) and I usually let it go.  But I thought I would let it all out there.   I am sure I disagree with you on numerous issues.  I appreciate other people's viewpoints, including those who radically disagree with me.  Intellectual challenge is good. One thing I appreciate about @MaeBe.

Post 8 “The Ohio Years” We moved to Pittsburgh because of the job with US Airways.  The job involved classroom instruction and simulator training, but no actual flying, so I kept looking for an actual pilot position.  A year after signing on with US Airways I got hired to fly business jets.  The company was located in Cleveland, Ohio, but I was flown commercially from my home in Pittsburgh to where my aircraft was located, making it unnecessary to live near company headquarters.    My flight scheduled consisted of eight days on duty with seven days off.  Having seven days off in a row was great but being gone from home eight days in a row was difficult.  For the first few years the flying was fun, but after a while the eight flying days in a row, were taking their toll on me.  Those days were brutal, consisting of very long hours and a lot of flying time.  Usually, I came home exhausted and need three days just to recover from the work week.  Flying for a living is glamorous until you actually do it.  Quickly, it became just a job.    After five years as a line captain, I became a flight department manager, which required we live near company headquarters.  That meant a move to Cleveland.  Working in the office meant I was home every night but as a manager, the schedule was still challenging.  I would work in the office all week and then be expected to go out and fly the line on weekends.  I referred to it as my “5 on 2 on” schedule, because it felt as though I had no time off at all.   About the same time, we moved to Cleveland, my wife and I became “empty nesters,” with one son in the military and the other away at college.  Sadly, my work schedule didn’t leave much time for Sally.  Add to the fact that while Cleveland is an awesome city, I just never felt comfortable expressing my feminine side.  Most of my outings, and believe me there weren’t enough, occurred while I was on vacation and away from home.   One of the most memorable outings occurred over a long weekend.  I had stumbled across an online notice for a spring formal being held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, hosted by a local trans group there.  I reached out to Willa to see if she was up for an excellent adventure.  She was, so I picked her up and we drove to Harrisburg together.    The formal was held on Saturday evening and we had the absolute best time.  It turned out that organizers were a group named TransCentralPA.  Everyone was wonderful and I made a lot of new friends that evening.  We learned the spring formal was one of the group’s annual events but for the following year, instead of a spring formal, the group wanted to do a local transgender conference.  That local conference would become the Keystone Conference, and I would attend every year for the next 12.  My move to the west coast was the only reason I stopped attending annually.  I went to the first annual Keystone Conference as an attendee, but in subsequent years I served as a volunteer and as a workshop presenter; more about those in the next installment.   For my Cleveland years, the Keystone Conference would be my major outlet for feminine self-expression.  Yes, I did get out on other occasions, but they were too infrequent.  The managerial job just didn’t allow me the freedom I needed to adequately live my feminine life, and my frustration level was slowly, but steadily on the rise.  It amazed me how adversely not being able to express the feminine half of my personality was affecting my happiness.   However, a major life change was upcoming, and while it would prove to be a significant challenge in many ways, the events would ultimately benefit my female persona.  First, my mom and dad got sick.  They were in and out of the hospital and required personal care.  My wife and I did our best but living in Cleveland, we were too far from them to give them the support they both needed.  Second, I was experiencing serious job burn out.  I decided I need to find another job and I needed to be closer to my parents.    Things changed for the better when I got hired by an aviation training company as a flight simulator instructor.  I would be training business jet pilots.  The training facility was located in New Jersey, which put us much closer to my parents, and the work schedule was much better for quality of life.  Most importantly, this life change would help Sally re-emerge and once again flower.    Hugs,   Sally

I made a living talking about bulk liquids in cargo tanks transportation as a driver and mechanic. Safe loading/unloading, cleaning and inspecting, as well as emergency response scenarios.   Hazmat and fire behavior in the fire service as well as emergency vehicle operations and safe driving. "It was on fire when they called you. It will be on fire when you get there." Arrive ready to work. I could also talk about firefighter behavioral  heath and the grieving process.   The real fun thing is I can do this for people who are not Truck Drivers or Fire Fighters. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Citizen Tax payers about Public Safety Education.   I love public speaking,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
