Morning. Today I have plenty of coffee, clean cups and sugar.

Everything went good at my follow up yesterday. The Surgeon and his PA (mostly the surgeon) were super excited about the results. A few other people came to check on me too. It was a little awkward to be on display like that but....whatever.

One Dr, had even asked if I had any erotic sensation come back yet. I didn't know and thought it was too soon to be checking for it, guess not. Sadly, I have to wear this infernal thing for 2 more weeks but I can take it off for short periods and thankfully take a shower. 

 

In other things. The Goddess has, again, provided. The battery in my bestie's car crapped-out and she been carrying around a jump-start pack for the last week or so. It's not cool and not a good look for a mother of 3 to have to constantly jump start her car. She's OK with it but there's just way to many points of failure in the process.  I happen to do pretty good at a gaming lounge last night so I'm buying her a new battery.

 

Time to get dressed and get this show on the road.

Hi everyone, I’m not enjoying some of the side effects of my Estradiol patch today.  Headache, constipation, hot.  I want my shots back, you hear me Pfizer?  Only 5 more months of this until the shot form is supposed to be available again.

 

yes there is another generic shot, but the dosing is very different and my insurance won’t cover it.

 

family went to the beach, at least they are trying to go to the beach.  Being Labor Day weekend we have lots of visitors in town and beaches can be hard to get a parking spot.  The two state beaches close the entry gates.  Lots of other public beach but parking is still an issue.  Come Tuesday we should have a quiet city again.  
 

Retailers hate that, locals love it.  High School and College kids head back to school so businesses employee levels automatically shrink.  
 

Coffee and breakfast are done, dog is walked and she is napping on the cool floor.  I’m real close to joining her just not on the floor.

Congrats on your surgery. Glad it went well. Good to hear that Rush is a good place. I am scheduled to get a shallow/minimal/zero depth vaginoplasty done there with Dr Schechter on January 17th. I will be 70 yrs old then.

I haven't been on here for a while. Hope everyone is well. Things haven't changed much in my life. Had my first colonoscopy in 69 years. Everything is good. In the spring, went to er because of bronchitis from allergies. EKG showed right bundle branch block. Got stress test. Was better than average. Got ultrasound. Was good. Hay fever season is on again. Kicking my butt. Saw doctor yesterday and got antibiotics and steroid. Starting to feel better now. Have a good day 😊.

Dr. Schecter. He's the guy. Everyone throughout the hospital was really kind and helpful. When I got there I was lost in the parking garage and a random employee went out of her way to walk me to the right entrance. They seem to be really embracing their gender affirming services too with pride swag everywhere.

Wow, just sat down with a cup of coffee to get caught up, and such news! Lizzy congrats on the progress you have made, physically and socially; it’s heartwarming to read! Bri, good on you pursuing your passion, diving!
 

I read something inspirational this afternoon which included a mention of not leaving things too late because the coffee will get cold! Drink your coffee while it’s still hot, unless you like iced coffee, in which case don’t wait too long or it will get lukewarm!

I’m in the process of getting a letter to approve the same thing, and they say once I get approved it will take a couple of years before I get into the operating room. It will likely be at OHSU in Portland.

Obviously I don't the process there but from my experience things can move pretty quick once you get the letters. I was originally told 6-8 months but as soon as I got my letters submitted I got booked right away. From consult to O.R. in 3-1/2 months. Granted, I only had top surgery but still.

Good Sunday Morning 

 

That is a wonderful essay on life.  And it is so true.  My parents are gone, my only sister is gone, the kids have gone there own ways and we rarely ever see them or our granddaughters. And one day you look around and realize your life is coming to a close.  No job to go to anymore no money to spend.  It’s a very difficult time in your life.  Cherish what you have and don’t waste it because before you know it it will be gone.  A large number of your friends are gone too.

 

Do what you want to do now because the time is coming faster and faster when you won’t be able to.  And take care of ourself, eat right exercise even if it’s only taking walks.

Thank you. It's a long process for sure. I was told 1.5 to 2 years. It's pretty accurate. I could have gotten in this year but I promised my wife that she could have the holidays and our 53rd anniversary first. Good luck with your journey. 💜

Been a couple good months for my husband and I,We both decided to transition finally in June,him on the male hormones and and I on the estrogen.Our daughters know and are supportive.We both started 2 months ago and things are going well with both of us.Our daughters know we are both transgender.Plus my husband is scheduled for the top surgery to remove his breasts in December.Me,the FFS and trachea shave next year.Both have decided not to have the GCS.

Had an embarrasing moment recently. Wife an I were out taking pics of the full moon in the country. Was wearing my pajamas, (feel good top) when a cop showed up. I was outside my car with lights off. Once I showed him the pic I just took he said, "Didn't even notice it. Turn your lights on" and then he left. I'm sure I gave him some chuckles.

It's a dark, grey rainy morning on a Labor Day and of course, I am at work! Not a full shift though at least.

A couple days of grey is already affecting my mood. I can say after 9 months my emotions are definitely more vibrant and I guess it can go both ways too. 

The current missions are to get my 5 year maintenence for the Subie done, and my own 50 year maintenance of getting my Orchy surgery lined up as well as other checkups.

Here is me with my sweet friend at the club this weekend. She is one of my guy friends wife and we just happened to turn into BFFs too.

Good morning everyone.

 

I can hear the coffee cooking. Soon the reassuring tone that it is done. Then heaven. Well the 3 'S's are done. Just need to feed myself. Then off to the grind. at least a shorter shift closing a hour earlier. They are so generous.  Warm today with upper 80s forecast.

 

Felt good to ride the bike the last couple days. First time since we moved.

we spent our morning at the beach.  Water was nice but the surf was a bit rough.  We came home, and went to the pool.  It’s clouding up so we came in.  Unfortunately only one more day with our granddaughter.  I don’t know why, but my daughter is asking about next weekend.

I would agree with this. I told my mother today that in the past my emotions were like a 4 pack of crayons that only had 4 colors. After I started HRT it began to feel like I was given a couple of new colors to color my world. Now I feel like I hit the jack pot and I got one of those 64 color crayon packs!! My world is so much fuller and yes more vibrant. It is nice to know someone is on HRT for the same time that I am. We can compare notes.

So I did have an adventurous weekend. I went dancing at the club Saturday night and it was rather slow. A CD person that I met before showed u with a friend and told me to come with her. We went to a camp ground called Camp out. It was a fun place with several places to hang out including "The Den" and a dance hall. We danced for a while and then went to a party with a nice camp fire. There were many... many gay men there most scantily clad and some not wearing anything. All I can say is that I am now sure about my attraction to men... LOL Anyways we partied late. There are things that I can not / will not discuss here but it was a great night for me. I got home at 0830 Sunday morning and had to drive down to south Jersey for a family cookout. I was exhausted all day but it was worth it. I am a happy camper right now.

Good morning everyone. Coffee's hot, light and sweet.

After taking the week off from work for surgery and recovery today will be my first day back. As far as I know, none of my coworkers have any idea I had anything (not that it's any of their business) done. I know the people in my and immediately departments will ask questions (I'm OK with that) but hopefully, the rest just ignore my existence like usual.

Now to figure out what to wear. Despite the substantial increase in my chest size, thankfully, most of my tops still fit.
