Good morning, everyone!! Finishing up my 3rd cup and planning out today's projects. Looks like a good day to get some outside projects done before relaxing this afternoon reading Leviathan Wakes, the book that generated the series The Expanse.

Safe travels on the way home @KymmieL!!

Be safe and enjoy this day.

Finished my first and probably only cup for today. I have a doctors appointment later this morning. Routine annual, so easy, but I'd rather stay home and get more sleep.

Thank you for all the helpful posts about my transition question. Hearing your perspectives makes a difference. Now I don't feel everyone thinks there must be a specific event called transition--that helps me a lot.

@RianonI'm so sorry you were hurt by your community.

@ShawnaBThat's wonderful about the pageant. I hope you'll have lots of fun.

Had second cup of coffee still in deed thoughts of yesterday

Had my ba consult on the 29th. I was in pure heaven. Told me didn't see any reason I couldn't get a BA. Looked at me and had breast tissue. Lol told me A cup that was news to me. Took measurements and wrote things down. He asked me if I knew what I wanted. Told him yes. Silicone and under muscle. He told me he does usual do it under muscle. But after looking at my girly chest told it would be ok to do it under muscle. That was end of visit. Part my fault due to excitement. But never asked to look at before and after pictures. He did tell me between 400-500cc. Never talked about profile.

I went back today and looked at pictures. Only had 4 to look at. The nurse asked if I wanted anything else. I said I would like to see what a 450cc implant is like. She went out and came back with a pair. But these were gummy bear ones. Not the round silicone ones I saw before. When she came back I asked when would the Dr talk to me about size and profile. Told me day of surgery. Am I right to be nervous

We're focused on storm preparedness today.  Forecasts are saying a high chance of hail and tornadoes. 😪.  It was windy yesterday, and the air is so sticky and still this morning.  Not a good sign.

We get jumpy because we've been hit before, and a neighbor's house was totally destroyed a few years back.  What the tornado didn't take, the fire that followed did.  They lived with us for a while after as they rebuilt.

So, we're tying down and putting away anything loose.  Farm animals are being moved to cover, and windows shuttered.

My husband started work 2 hours early this morning.  He is releasing his employees early this afternoon so they can get home to their families.  Going to be a busy day.

Good morning!

Thank you both for your follow-up to my post yesterday about once having been made to feel like a second-class citizen because I wasn't all hot-to-trot for either HRT or surgery. The truth was I would have loved to be a candidate for both. Medically, however, I just wasn't, and I had little choice but to learn to live with that. I have learned to live with it, and I'm a happier, more fulfilled, and more honest person for it. As I think back over all the years that have come and gone, I realize how wrong it was for my trans friends to make others who were less sure of themselves feel like being trans was an all-or-nothing proposition (my way or the highway). I can forgive them for making me feel that way (and quite possibly, they had never meant to make me feel that way), but they were excited about the prospect of finally becoming in the bodies the persons they had always known themselves to be in their hearts, minds, and spirits.

I would have been just as excited had I had the same opportunities. I think kindly of those friends now.

I'm lucky in that I'm reasonably passable, enough so that I feel safe going to most places. Of course, as a dear friend once said to me, one of the many advantages of being an older woman is strangers don't scrutinize older women –– or older men, for that matter –– nearly as much as they do younger people. I know that it's a shame that our society pays less attention to people in their upper years. For a select few of us, though, sometimes getting to slip about unnoticed can also be a blessing!

Well was in place where there was no unisex bathroom. I may not pass. But I had my breast forms on and my makeup. Had to go pee. Used ladies. Walked in and it was empty. Went and did my business. Got up and as I was leaving a nother lady came in. I didn't care and stood my ground.

Good afternoon HappyInVermont,

The key words in this coffee talk update is: "Another Lady". You're in there for a reason, and you did well by owning it, as your bathroom.

If you happen to make eye contact in such a situation, remember that you belong there.  Smile and say "Hi".  You don't have to get into a conversation, but pretending that others in there are invisible is a guy thing.

Be safe @awkward-yet-sweet!! And, way to hold your ground @happyinvermont You go, girl!!

I just spent the last 3.5 hours moving dirt on our property from a mound of leftover dirt from an old project to an area where there was some washout. I think I'll take a second shower and just relax for the rest of the day. My back earned the time off.

Hi

they have found the remains a Casey Johnson, a Wilmington NC transgender woman who was killed and has been missing since January.  Her body was found on the bank of the Savanah River.  Her alleged killer has been in jail for her murder since shortly after she went missing.

Rest in peace Casey.

Well, I did get a second cup of coffee. I got to the doctor's office early, and wasn't taken until two hours after my appointment time. That's unusual for them, and the doctor explained that he had several semi-emergencies (my word, not his). I was there four hours. LOL. After, I went across the street and got an almond milk cappuccino at Panera's.

Good morning, everyone!! First cup of coffee complete, folded the laundry we forgot about last night after giving it a few minutes of fluffing, and now it's time to read the local paper. My back is still a bit sore from yesterday's yard clean-up work - getting older sucks. 🙂 But, I guess it beats the alternative.

It's nice to have the warmer weather return - looking forward to opening the pool before too long.

Stay safe and enjoy this day.

Tea this morning. I need to catch up with some errands etc. today. Our Friday trans support meeting is canceled this week because the space is not available, and I'm going to miss it. Everyone have a good day!

Good morning y’all

another beautiful day today.  We sat out by the pool for a bit yesterday afternoon.  Now I have my first swimsuit top lines.  Lol.  I didn’t bother with sunscreen on my upper body, I guess I should have. At least no farmers tan.  I stuck my feet in, and I suppose to some of you the water would have been warm.  But 72 just isn’t my full immersion water temperature, unless I’m in my wetsuit.

I work today until 7pm.  That makes the day seem extra long.  There is a late shift, we stay open until 12:45am otherwise known as 00:45!  Glad I don’t ever work that shift.  Oh and it opens back up at 04:00. I don’t work that shift either.  My earliest start is 6 and my latest is 11 which is today.

speaking of which, I need to finish gettin ready.  I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon.  It’s a 6am day.

Good morning everyone.

Welcome from a balmy 6 degrees. Yep I made it home. ran into some blowing snow in NE and east WY. had to take a side road home called happy Jack road. It is a more scenic route than the interstate. Drove this road all the time in the winter when I worked in Cheyenne. No problems, I have driven that road in worst conditions. But grateful I am home. To sleep in my own bed.

I did make it to my son's with about 1 1/2 to spare. Helps when you set the cruise on 80. Dropped off some items that where given him and his family. including a 130 yr old kids rocker that my grandfather had. It goes to the oldest son. So my oldest grandson got it. However, my granddaughter will probably use it. for her huge collection of stuffed animals.

Got a nice shower. Now my wife is asleep on the couch this AM. she must not have been feeling well. Gonna wait for another day or so to let the boss know I am back. so I will start back to work next Tues.

Have a great day,  @Willow don't work to hard.

Hugs,

Kymmie

Glad you're home safe. OMG 6 degrees! Here people think it's cold when it's under 30. But I remember when I was a kid it got a lot colder here, even below zero.

Then today I got looking I did order the right ones the first time. All the paper work that I have says front even the last work order said fronts. I told the other boss. So, Have I gotten a sorry from the boss. Ha, ha, not yet. I am doubting I will ever get one.   Oh, well. life goes on.   Kymmie

While I agree with a lot of the campaign personally, I don't think a government-mandated reduction in childbirth is really necessary. As a young person, I hardly know anyone who wants to be a parent in the future. I think a lot of people will either be waiting a while or not having kids at all, meaning that the number of kids being born will probably decrease. Overcrowding's also mostly an urban issue -- plenty of places in rural America have plenty of space for both people and growing food.    Of course, everyone sees things differently, so I won't necessarily say you're wrong. I just think my generation is a lot less inclined to the family mindset than some that came before us.

To me, it sounds like a solution searching for a problem.  I believe in the Russian perspective, that oil is abiotic and likely under every part of the Earth's surface.  There's plenty.  "Peak oil" and "climate" are excuses for government control.   As for roads, we use asphalt because tar and bitumen are a byproduct of fuel production, not the other way around.  Asphalt is not a great material, really.  It can also be recycled somewhat and used again.  Notice how road crews grind down existing asphalt into powder? Concrete is a better material for roads.  But in areas like where I live, very little of our roads are paved.  Gravel is a luxury, and a lot of roads are mud.  Same in many "developing" nations.  Pavement is better for transport, but its not like we would die without it.  Lack of pavement might actually be a good thing, as people might stay home more and food might be grown locally instead of relying on transportation.  It would stop this wacky idea of growing everything in California.     I believe the big crisis we face is globalism and government control.  Proposing some scheme to control our families? That's just more of the same.  Even if folks managed to get enough votes (or rig enough elections) to get the power to do that, it won't be as VP or president of the USA in its current 50-state form.

The months of June has already been planned out for me with only minimal time for sleep between the Trans Chorus Of Los Angeles and the various communities around me that are in the service area of the LGBTQ  Center I was on the Board of Directors of that are having Pride Events, both LGBTQ Pride and Trans Pride stand alone events.

Very cool. I've been clumsily navigating the world of makeup so this may help. Some of the tutorials on YouTube are so advanced, they may as well be speaking Klingon :P

I've realized that our laptops are using much less plastic than they used to.  They are smaller devices that use less raw materials and are easier to ship and hold up better in shipping than bigger computers with removable parts.  They seem to have gotten rid of the overheating/fan problem for the most part, but there is a performance hit for that.  I use a 10yo desktop computer with a moderate level gaming video card to run 3 monitors.  I'm a producer though and most consumers have no need for that.   I really haven't watched TV since the 80's.  I spend some time researching on the internet and then I spend a lot of time meditating on the objects in my environment and on the streets.  From living on the streets for a year, I've learned that people can say anything and can control you, but the laws of physics and mathematics are outside of that and really even transcend time itself.  After people would not support my music, I built my life as a software engineer based on mathematics and engineering.  I've had a moderately successful career with that and have written code for many different industries.   The problem with stopping oil usage is that if we still need the bitumen to pave our roads and shingle our houses, then what do we do with the gas when we refine it?  There are natural deposits of bitumen, but you know, with so many people out there, demand is huge and we are using this stuff up.  If you grow corn for corn syrup, then what do you do with the cobs?  We've shipped coffee and bananas all over the world.  We took material from those environments.  What do we do now?  How long can it last?

I think that threats that can be proven should be incarcerated for half the sentence of the one they would commit if carried out.  Lies unfortunately are just words unless as you stated if not under oath.
    • Ivy
I think it depends on where and how it's happening. We also need safe places where, the perhaps more easily intimidated, can feel free to express themselves.     And what about threats of violence?  Can this lead to a place where only the violent can have this freedom?  Is it "free speech" to threaten and intimidate opposing views into silence?  I mean maybe, if I can say anything - "if you don't shut up I'll kill you."   Or spreading lies?  (perhaps about an election). Lying is okay, unless you're under oath - for what that's worth.   Censoring books in schools?  That was fine until the bible was included.  (there is some nasty stuff in there) Then, there's what used to be that free speech birdie place.  You can denigrate queer people all you want, but "cis" is a slur, and prohibited?  Free speech as long as I like it? And let's not go into court cases and gag orders. Porn?
    • Ashley0616
I have noticed when anyone speaks against their though process they don't like it no matter what sided. Republicans are quick to defend Trump when he's not professional and treats his employees like crap. One employee didn't get paid at all and then he had the nerve to say that he would sue the worker. He already has a model as his wife and still goes after other women. Biden gets lost quicker than a 2nd Lieutenant gets lost at land navigation. Not to mention his open border policy which is flooding the country and can't even take care of the American citizens that we have now. I could go on about both sides. I personally don't get mad at anything someone says to me. I know it's not true so I'm over it before it even starts. You have to have thick skin.
