I know what you mean @Ashley0616 - I'm generally up around 0430. But, I love the quietness of that time of day.....and I have to check the perimeter out of habit from 25+ years in the Army. 🙂

Yikes I haven't woken up that early in a long time. The quietness is definitely nice though. I definitely agree with that. I know off topic but I finally was able to get some heels and love them. I guess that really confirms that I am a woman indeed. I was able to get them at shoecup.com. It's an awesome site for women who have big feet. I need a size 13 in women's and I can't just go to walmart and get some shoes there.

That's awesome!  And thanks for the tip!! I'm a 12W or 13 as well and have struggled to find shoes that are other than 6" stiletto heels. I've had some luck with eBay by limiting the size (12W or WW or 13) and location selection (US) as well as on Amazon. You just have to be persistent in searching. I do still love to wear heels, too. It just feels right, doesn't it?

Yes it does! I'm hoping by June to be able to buy more stuff. It has been challenging because of the annulment and the current wife needed a lot of stuff for her new job and then had to buy tires for her car. In your opinion is this worth it or should I look elsewhere? Morning, Everyone.

Decided to call out today. Had an incident yesterday that reinforces that my work is hostile towards me. So, my normal days off are Sunday and Monday.  I was told yesterday that there was a mandatory store meeting on May 21. I told them I may not be there. Well its mandatory.  I told them that I may be on my way home from either Moab,UT or Bowling Green, KY.  I have the previous week off.  Well its mandatory. So, I head out and make a delivery. I come back Oh, one of the other team members has requested the time off so we moved it till the 7th.

They move the meeting. Because he can't be there but not for me. My days off is for what ever the heck I want to do. No I would have to cut my plans short. It has been this way for a while.

Any who, going head back and cuddle with the wife. Then to work on the wagon or the bike, or something today. Coffee later.

Hugs,

Kymmie

These home remedies are definitely not worth the effort!

Sorry it's just not easy.  Dark hairs can be removed with laser treatments and otherwise electrologist treatment is  the only permanent way.

Hugs,

Thanks for jumping in @Charlize to answer the hair removal question. I've had some good results using an IPL but it's not permanent.

@Ashley0616 - if you scroll down the forum in the MtF section you'll find a sub-thread on hair removal that might help answer some of your questions. There also some discussions related to fashion, make-up, etc that have been very helpful to me. Here's the link to the hair removal thread: https://www.transgenderpulse.com/forums/index.php?/forum/36-hair-removal/

I'm usually awake by then.  But most mornings I refuse to get up.  Sometimes I fall back to sleep, others I just enjoy being very snug.

I normally am up by 05:30 though.  Fix some coffee, wash up, etc.  I like to work on my writing then too.

My dogs won't tolerate anything later than 5AM and generally not past 4:30. One lays across my legs and the other hovers over me staring like a vulture. And, once my brain kicks into gear, I'm done sleeping.

I do really love those quiet hours, especially in the warmer months when I can listen to the world come alive as the sun begins to rise.

Good morning everyone,:coffee:

My quiet time is from 07:00 to around 09:30 when Suzie wakes up. I start my day with the morning local news & weather while still laying in bed. Then I get up take care of the three 'Ss', and move into the rest of the house, making coffee, raising the blinds, and finally checking in here. Today is the day I take the wood stove out of the shop, and free up more floor space to work. We have on again, off again rains forecast for today.

Hugs,

Hi, I’ve had coffee and breakfast fed and walked the dog and now I’m ready to go to my PART-TIME job.  It’s gone from 30 to 32 to 36 and now 46 3/4 hours.  I can use the.$$$ but not what I had expected.

so today is our fifty first anniversary!  But I have to work.  Why 46 hours this week! Well, my schedule has changed 3 time since it was originally posted last Wednesday.  Each time add hours or changing a start time.  I don’t mind because I didn’t have anything else going on but it is frustrating.

well got to go.  It takes me a few minutes to cross the road to my work place.  Yup literally just across the road.

hugs

Willow, 46 3/4 hours isn't a part-time job, don't let it get in the way of you celebrating with the wife. Happy Anniversery, and I agree the commute to and from the job is good.

Raced a 5k this morning

Congratulations Miz Miranda on completing the 5K run.

Well the neighbor was doing a DIY Water Heater installation, and had to call the fire department. I got the notification on my phone, and went to see what was going on. Thankfully he called 911 before trying to put the fire out on his own. He was successful, and really embarrassed when two engines, a ladder truck, ambulance, and battalions chief showed up. He forgot to put a damp rag behind the soldering area, and was focused on the sweating process of the copper fitting. Next thing he knew the 2X4 stud was full on flaming with fire, not smoldering but: "ON FIRE"! As he told me. It's wet and cold to the touch now.

I hope that's as exciting as my day gets.

@Mmindy it sounds like your neighbor also forgot that the safe way to do a hot project is to have a fire extinguisher and water nearby.... A couple of flaming 2x4s can be easily put out if you get to it fast enough.  At least you didn't have a whole flaming house close to you 😲

We use firewood for heat, and we have welding projects and other sources of flame. We also store large quantities of gasoline and diesel...so fire safety and suppression are a serious consideration.  We keep fire extinguishers everywhere, and have a large water source with a high volume pump system and big hoses. Can't be too careful!

My cat will wake me at any hour if she decides to go out.  If I roll over, she will bat my nose with not quite claws.  If I let her out, I go back to bed.  Silly kitty.

What a day at work!  There was a point in the day that neither terminals credit card machine would work. We had to do cc transactions on a third terminal while taking cash only on my terminal.  Talk about hard for customers to understand.  On the other hand with the team working today we got a lot of things done and done early.  Stocking the coolers, trash cans, inside cleaning you name it, we got it all done and extra.  Most, but not all days are working out like that right now.  Only one truly disgruntled employee and I would imagine he’s even unhappier with the hole he’s dug for himself.

Raining pretty hard right now.

Its midnight here...and I can't sleep.  Again.  Actually getting to the point where my husband gets more sleep than I do, and he's up nearly all the time.  Unfortunately, not sleeping at night makes me mostly useless during the day.  Something's gotta give.

Good morning, everyone!! It's raining here pretty hard - so it was a quick walk for the dogs followed by drying them off before feeding them. I've finished my first cup of coffee and it's about time to get another and read the paper.

I just need to say that I am so thankful to have found this forum. I've been helped by so many people, learned so much already and taken such joy from reading about all of your experiences - it helps me to realize that I'm not alone in my thoughts and fears but also to find the goodness in each day from the little events and, most of all, to be grateful for this little community and each of you. You make me smile, you make me laugh and sometimes I cry with you. Most of all you give me hope and courage.

With much Love.

It could be a temporary effect of the pain and even the wine. I was surprised to learn that alcohol disrupts sleep, That's a general comment because of course I can't know how it is for you. I have low grade chronic pain that I don't even notice some days when I'm up and doing things, but when I go to bed there's nothing distracting me from the pain and either I feel it or often I still don't notice it but it keeps me up and wakes me up. All of which is to say that you might start sleeping better when your healing is further along. I hope so!

Light rain here.  Fortunately my kitty walks herself.  And there is a litter box for back up, although she prefers to go out.  Most of her inside time is spent sleeping of course.  Outside, she splits it between sleeping and terrorizing other critters.  It's a rough life for a kitty.

Thea, your post made me think of a comic named Chloe Petts whom I saw recently on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix. She is a cisgender masculine lesbian. She is brilliant and so funny. I was intrigued by her identification - specifically masculine, not butch. And it seems to me there is a difference.

Today I had a dr appt. When I checked in, I was asked my surname, which I gave. Apparently there were two patients with appointments at that time with that same surname. The receptionist asked, "Are you (my legal name which is feminine) or Paul?" I got such a kick out of it not being assumed I had the feminine name.

That must have felt affirming, albeit perhaps weirdly so. However, I'd construe that more broadly (no pun intended) as sexism rather than misogyny where the latter would imply contempt. Also, incidentally, I've heard chivalry referred to as "benevolent sexism".

My boss is in a panic. His business is a couple straws away from breaking a camel in half. He's just handling the stress very poorly.   My dad, though. He's handling things pretty well, as long as I continue to don't get massively offended by being called: son, boy, etc. His eldest is leaving the State and looks so different than he's been used to over the years. I haven't told him I'm on HRT, but to be fair the changes haven't been massive. I've always had boobs, more so after COVID weight gain and made more obvious with its loss, but now I'm not hiding them--and obviously wearing a bra. The estrogen has done some work, but nothing major (sadly). I think the biggest HRT changes have been my skin and a mild amount of fat redistribution.   Today I'm wearing my cheater, I almost have cleavage! :D I need to get another t-shirt bra to keep a good rotation. I only have two, one push-up, and the rest are unlined (great for Summer, but not great for my Summer wardrobe ).

I eat a ketogenic diet and have had no problems. I don't know about your case but I suspect it is the estrogen. Research the types of ways to take estrogen. Pay close attention to the bloodwork results. If they are not satisfactory, bring it up with your doctor. I take injectables, which are fully covered by insurance. It may not be the route for you, but something to consider. I emphasize to do your research and good luck. You can solve this. Be persistent.    Jennifer

This is my opinion, so take it for that. Fatigue is based more on what you eat. Eat a more healthy diet, and stay away from ultra-processed foods and that should help. Think of eating the way we did a couple hundred years ago before the industrial revolution. It's just a thought.   Jennifer

I like the fact that you found support and have close members of your life. That is very important. No matter where you are on your journey, you have to have the support. Or you drift, and you question yourself.    Looking forward to your progress,   Jennifer

The source of estrogen can matter. I started HRT at age 50. My avatar was the result. I started on pills, and moved to estradiol valerate injectables. However, there was a shortage, and I had to use a compounding pharmacy. The estradiol would evaporate in the vial, and couldn't get 5 doses out of it. I eventually move to the patch.    Over time I realized the patch wasn't working properly. And, the last time I visited my doctor he told me my estrogen levels were low. He asked me if I wanted to change to estradiol valerate. I jumped for joy. So I started my script for estradiol valerate. My prescription was ready, but I didn't receive my script for needles for a couple of weeks. So I bought my own (legal). I started with intramuscular injections. This requires a longer needle, and the estrogen is released into the muscles. It has a powerful effect right away but isn't stable. So by the time I took my next injection 2 weeks later, the estradiol in my bloodstream was almost gone. When I finally received my script for my needles, the needle was shorter. So the injection was subcutaneous. What is different with this type of injection as that the estrogen released is more even over 2 weeks (before the next injection). Interesting the syringe/needles my doctor prescribed are so much higher in quality. I am going to follow his path. My breasts are now perky again. And I will let my doctor guide me.    I wish you success on your journey. Let us know how things are proceeding. I am happy for you.   Jennifer

Patches are the HRT method of least risk. Be aware of your estrogen levels with bloodwork. My doctor took me off patches because my estrogen levels were low. And put me on estradiol valerate injections. I have to say that made a big difference. Be aware of the changes. I don't know your age, or circumstances, but I would research available options of administering hormones.    There are other methods of taking estrogen, and you should research all of them. When my doctor changed my prescription to estradiol valerate amazing things happened. He was slow to prescribe the needles so I ordered them online. I have used injectables before. Getting the nerve to poke myself with the needle was a great hurdle to overcome.   As far as a rollercoaster feeling, I never felt that as much as the excitement of finally starting HRT. That overrode everything. I couldn't focus on how my emotions changed, for excitement trumped all emotions. Let the emotions of starting HRT settle, then make the decisions you feel will best benefit you.    Good luck with your journey,   Jennifer
