I use an Apple MacBook Pro and have no issue.  When you say it won't connect, does it just take forever and never load or is there some other indication?

I am walking on sunshine, because today is the first time I have been called ma'am since I began my journey.  I find it amazing that something so small can really make one's day.

That first time is SO amazing and affirming.

Okay, lets try this again.  I have a question about connecting to the transgenderpulse website.  When I use my Apple computer/Safari, it won't connect. but when I use a windows based laptop, no issues.  Is there something about Safari and the website?

I use an iPad but have also been on the site here using my Mac mini/safari with no issues.  My Mac’s current OS is 10.12.6 and v12.1.2 of Safari.  Try going to the Safari > Preferences (submenu under Safari > Websites (Prefs Toolbar) > Content Blockers (left hand side menu) and check to see if something was inadvertently turned ON.  If you see transgenderpulse.com with blocker set to ON, the page will never load.

If that is not it then you might see if you have a JavaScript blocker extension or adware blocker extension that is blocking the site.  To check this do the following...

Go to Safari > Preferences (submenu under Safari > Extensions (Prefs Toolbar) > once here, Look at the left side panel of Extensions and if there are any adblockers, adguards, or JavaScript extensions, turn them off temporarily and relaunch Safari and try to load this site.  Sometimes an auto update changes the settings in these extensions which can create havoc with certain sites.

Good Luck, Willow!

How old is your Apple computer? Also, can you check the version of Safari by going to the menu, choosing Help, then About Safari?

I have discovered that 4am commutes and no coffee really sucks.  Im so tired and grumpy.  LOL

I've had to give up coffee while I am on these meds for the lump pain as it makes me incredibly nauseous.  BADLY nauseous so I have to do this.

So I am being withcy (with a "B") this morning.  Sorry folks.

I do hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone, I’m back from another short hiatus. Work and life have been crazy and I’ve barely had a moment to stop. I just celebrated my 1 month on hrt on Saturday. Can’t believe I still feel so much better. I even have buds forming, they’re tender, but I’m okay with a little tenderness these days.

Off to the dentist this afternoon to get a very sensitive tooth/crown fixed up, which has plagued be for the last week and a half. Still hasn’t got my mood down.

Kettle is on, tea will soon be steeping. Have a great day everyone!  Hugs!

Shawna, I hope the no coffee isn't permanent. It would be very hard for me too.

Sara, glad the HRT is going good for you. I've been on puberty blockers for about 3 months. I too have noticed some changes.

Shawna - no coffee sounds rough, take good care....

Sara - good luck at the dentist, had crown done just a few months ago, you never notice them till they fail.

I'm on my 2nd cup this morning, and back at work (it's just another day), it's going to be a nice day weather wise, look forward to exercise out later, and having friends over for dinner tonight, looking forward to cooking and fussing in the kitchen...

Have a great day

I am having withdrawals!   lol

I'm a 5-6 mug per day gal.  That's mug not cup-LOL

My wife drinks even more then I do!  Not having any is tough.

Dang I work in a hospital everyday maybe I can get in intravenous thingy hooked up.

One cup of joe to start the morning, I will have my second when I get back home from my first therapy appointment.  Which is in 12 minutes as I write this. I was worried that I would not even know what to say to a therapist.  The way my brain would not shut up last night, I am more concerned about which of the many topics I want to talk about first!

I guess this is going to be more of a getting to know each other session, anyhow.  I am just not nearly as scared as the old me would have been.  It is both exhilarating and strange.

They know how to get things out and at a comfortable rate.  Fear not!

You are going to feel amazing afterwards!  Good Luck!

I am now only drinking two small mugs of coffee each morning, then no more caffeine the rest of the day. Although when I was a production artist it was three pots of coffee a day, sometimes even coffee just before bed. No more of that!

My general feeling now after surviving my first laser hair removal session is one of joy and relief. There is surprisingly little hair on my body now compared to the furry hide I used to have. Over the months to come it will all go away (excepting the strategically placed triangular patch) to my joy and relief. It's hard to describe what a difference this has made, but I'm sure many of you already know.

A big warm hug to everyone!

Fortunately, your therapist is trained to get you to talk about what you need to talk about and will ask leading questions. I realize that you're IN therapy right now, but I'll wager you're comfortable and chatting away about what's eating at you.

Hugs!

That has to be rough. I know doctors like their coffee so you've got to be smelling it all day.

Of course I haven't had any caffeine in over two years at this point, but I remember the withdrawal when I stopped. That was not a fun couple of weeks and I got to taper down instead of going cold turkey.

Right now sitting at my computer while a plumber fixes my sink. I couldn't even bend over to see where the water was coming from. I feel a bit like a broken porcelain doll.

Hugs!

You're right, Shawna, I do feel amazing!  It's not like there was any kind of revelation or breakthrough, either.  It just felt good to talk to someone in real life about this not-so-minor aspect of my life.  When i was driving home, I realized my face was hurting from smiling so much!

I think I talked non-stop.  It was unusual for me.  I am usually the quiet one, but I think that may be changing.  I chatted with my neighbor for nearly an hour on Saturday - voluntarily!

Shawna, I think our wives would be great friends. mine is also a coffee hound. When we go out to anything but fast food she orders a coffee. coffee in the morning and at night. I don't know how much she drinks at work.

I know it is better that the other which she hasn't touched a drop in 31yrs.

I am finding that a lot of my social anxiety seems to be melting away.  It seems so weird to me, because I have spent so much of my life thinking that trying to live as a woman would be a source of anxiety.

After my therapy session, my wife got her hair cut, and got me an appointment with a trans-friendly hairdresser, who gave me a cut that added lots of volume to my thinning hair, and taught me ways to style it to maximize the volume.  As a bonus, she is also an eyebrow specialist.  I am so going to be seeing her again, and soon!

Hello, good morning everyone. I'm up and have my first cup of coffee here with me. But it's a dreary day out and I feel a bit overwhelmed and gloomy. Tax season, voting, coping with scheduling things. I feel inadequate to the tasks at hand.

And if I actually manage to get everything done, there's no time left for me or my artwork.

I feel like the well that everyone drinks freely from until it's dry, then the herd moves on, leaving me empty.

Good morning, all!  Woke up early and a notification on my phone reminded me that taxes are a thing, and that in the U.S., they can be a nightmarish thing.  I really should just go back to doing them myself. Piggybacking on my mother-in-law's TurboTax account has resulted in our taxes being filed later each year. She just can't be motivated until the 14th of April!

Anyway, first cup of espresso nearly gone, feeling awake, and loving the new haircut even more.  I couldn't get it exactly like my stylist did it, but I don't cringe when I catch my reflection.  Most important - it's a flip, not a comb-over!  Words can make a great difference!

Warm water in a cup can be a functional but desperate substitute.

Another day in paradise, clear dry weather (finally), heading up to mid 50's today. Spring is in the air, the bulbs are pushing up, the Robbins are everywhere. Had a nice visit with friends over for dinner last night. I get to play hostess, one of my favorite things. :)

Have a lovely day all

Waah!  I miss the west coast!  We won't see bulbs for at least two months, assuming the snow melts before then.  It's above freezing now, but supposed to drop to -11C overnight.  The snow will get good and crusty, and we'll need crampons to walk the dog.

I spent the better part of Sunday preparing our tax forms.  I promised I would't wait this year as I had gotten lazy about it over the last few years.  Part of my routine is to gather all the data and afterwards to review spending habits and budget for the current year.  Yes I'm a spreadsheet geek.

Its nice and sunny today in the low 40's (F) which will melt some of the snow we received yesterday.  Then its back to freezing temps until Sunday.   The days are getting visibly longer which is a good sign.

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?
