Hiya all

Thought I'd add a little something today about secrets that everyone has, until they wanna come out about it.  We all have our preferences and things we like hidden, I hid my Crossdressing for many years, until the fateful moment came where this bird had to fly from the preverbial nest.   The day we open up, God I know and remember how that felt.  It felt just like the day that I passed my driving test (First Time Too!!!!) a huge weighty cloud had lifted off my shoulders and head - made me feel so light I felt i could have floated away, Glad I didn't though.. If that had happened then I wouldn't have been able to be here would I.

The general public at best are no different to us, only seemingly jealous at us for having the brazeness or Bravado to come out with who we are.    Many who have isues with us probably like dressing too, though jealous at us for have taken that next few steps to becoming open about it.   for the best part they have similar opportunities to open up, though for their own reasons and some that might be very good reasons have decided not to... and they too maybe dislikeing us because we can... and for the best part manage to successfully pass in public.

Coming out is a profound step of progression to personally accepting yourself.    Whether courage has any part to play is questionable, as for the best part if you are commfortable with this side of yourself, then coming out about it will become the next natural step.. and you'll generally know when that time is as, at least for me it just felt the right time.  I never wanted to take my secret to the grave with me, never having knowed if i could of passed and lived a more interesting and far more fullfilling life, and lived my last years with deep held serious regrets for not having attempted to have taken those first faltering steps out into the public eye, wearing clothing that i felt were so right and appropriate for me.. a lovely floaty dress... such a femme girl i am...

Now I have done and officially come out, no more secrets, in fact not only have I come out, but also have told you more about myself.. so in fact I have no secrets left to burden me.. and that behold is a huge relief.   For me now I guess life has no limits - and I will live my years at least dressed as i wish to be... enjoying what i like to do at every opportunity...

Warm Regards

Melissa

I had the very same liberating feeling!  The last ones to come out to were my Cuban neighbors.  Each time when i came home, I drove around the block first to make sure nobody was out, and I could slip from the garage into the house.

One day I was not fast enough. When I was still in guy mode, my neighbor Duego used to come over, for a little chat (and i supplied a bottle of German beer for this).  He saw me coming and came over to see this woman who looked similar to the guy he knew.  I opened up to him, to tell him that I was a woman, and he said:  cool, I hope we still can drink a beer together!  That was it!  No drama no nothing just a nice human reaction, making sure that I did not forget about the essentials of life, a German beer!

I am now out to everybody i know, live full time as a woman, and feel absolutely liberated not to feel that i have to hide!

Awesome! It really is a great feeling. I came out to most of my family on Thanksgiving. It was no surprise to them really. I came out to a few close girl friends and again was no surprise. We are actually closer and trade makeup and moisturizers from ipsy and other places. It's really great not to be hiding myself.

Having taken on the site, forums, and all of the bills, from Dev (May 2020) and because I also want to be fully transparent about the cost of running the site, I feel it's time to update this information. Sorry that it has taken me two years since I last gave an update, just life getting in the way.   If you'd like to donate, please do so via the green bar at the top of the forum pages.  The months of July through October are pretty heavy with annual and semi-annual expenses and every little bit helps.   Here's the breakdown as it stands now:   Chat is now free. (Stu now runs the Chat)   Regular Charges: There are occasional one off's as well. Forums:  $70.00 every six months (February and August, effectively billed in January and July). (Was $45 until 2022, support ticket system depreciated!) Resource Locator:  $53.00 yearly, this "widget" failed this year, so I have been able to find a (currently) free replacement. Resource Locator Mapping: Google maps, currently under the minimum monthly usage, so free. Email Delivery: $5.00 monthly currently free, changed to a service that offers a much larger monthly allowance. Server Rental:  $30.00 monthly. Greatfully sponsored by The Breast Form Store. Security Software:  Now included in the package we have. Domain Renewals: Approx $75 annual charges for Transgenderpulse.com, Lauras-playground.com and the server domain. Contact Us Form Software: $79 yearly (August).   Total Monthly Breakdown: $54.50 per month.  (Annual bills = $654) Updated May 2024 (Slightly down on previous years).   Now then.  I'm on a fixed income, which means I know what it's like not having a penny to spare.  If you're not in a position to donate, please don't feel guilty; I didn't take over here to turn a profit.  The lights will stay on.  Donations are very much appreciated, but they are not a requirement of membership.   An update to clarify a couple of points: Because you have to use your legal name with PayPal, emails confirming your donation from PayPal will be from a name with the initials "DS", not Petra Jane and the email used is tgp (at) uk-web***   Unfortunately, we can only accept payment through PayPal, and please ensure that you have permission to make any donation through a PayPal account, we have been stung by someone alledgedly using a PayPal account without the owner's permission and incurred an additional $20 chargeback to refund the donation!   We have recently seen a number of these of late so I am asking that genuine donators please add your forum username in the comment box so that I, and I alone, will know who has sent the donation and that it is genuine. Thank you. Also, this appears only to Members who are logged in on the forums, New Members need to have made a minimum of 10 posts.   Let me reassure you: Donations help towards ongoing costs related to keeping the site running, including hosting, bandwidth, etc. It also encourages us to commit regular updates, add features, and improve the service. Our promise to you is that this site and its use will always remain free of charge.     Petra Jane

This is the dress I'll be wearing this evening while we watch the Kentucky Derby. Not sure if I'll throw on heels or flats with it - probably flats but I haven't worn heels in a while and the Force is strong.
