Dear Moderator(s):

I finally found this topic after many months of on and off grazing, but suddenly, maybe have found what for me is the "mother lode."

It was Jackie Rabbit that got me starting on my journey at the tender age of 63 in March of 2023, after almost a full year of the end of her YouTube chapters!  I was always there in the background, probably starting while I was still (transitionally) "in the can" after I first found her YouTube channel accidentally in 2019.  It wasn't until THIS year that I finally got around to viewing them all as close to chronologically as I can guesstimate.  It appears to run between 2017 and 2022 with five solid years of progress meticulously chronicled.  It's definitely just like taking a VERY serious college course that I now rely upon to literally guide my very own transition.

I feel all tingly just to contemplate that these words might somehow still be able to reach Jackie herself.  To me that ability means more to me than any personally signed autograph of our many, many sports superstars here in Boston, as in Massachusetts.  And we've seen the very best for a long, long time!

O dear Jackie, just the mere "thought" is making me tear up!  You're the best in the world in my book, like the "Bobby Orr" of mature m2f transitioning!  I don't know if I would be here, or had come this far.  And it already has gotten as far as one pre-op transwoman can go, all in just 15 weeks from zero--well, if only I can get my facial electrolysis started, like yesterday, as you counseled!--without:  YOU.

And a week from Wednesday (on July 12) after a lot of hardball arranging over some dead bodies in the local medical  establishment, I WILL begin my SAFE introduction of HRT, just as you caution.  So dear Jackie:  Here We Go!

Thank you a million times and I wish you all of the best every day as YOUR transition (as you taught) never really ends.

I just wish we all could catch up on wherever she has gone.  All I remember is that in the last chapter she had changed her career to spread her love, her candor and her wisdom as far as she can.  Maybe its time for a post-script 2023 YouTube posting?

Eternal love from me to Jackie and Transpulse for keeping her flame burning, even years later and long may it light our way!

Gigi C.

Thank you Gigi, Jackie sure is an excellent ambassador and I am so happy you on HRT - it will open a wonderous world for you.

To be direct:

I rebirthed on March 18, 2023 and Jackie Rabbit was figuratively, but very DEFINITELY the "mid-wife" at my second blessed event.

For me its a cause for concern...

Has Jackie Rabbit completely disappeared from "our" hemisphere by mid-2023?

a) Does anyone know (?), and more importantly,

b) is she OK these days??

Is there more up to date information anywhere on her current status?

Any chance for an occasional YouTube revival perhaps?

We all could probably provide enough production material for her YouTube venue for years to come, based on the guidance of her original posts,  if she needs it!

I agree Gigi,

Your post is a mirror of my exact experience. I'm here, safe, and sound comfortable with my situation because of Jackie Rabbit's YouTube Channel.

Hello @Gigi23

Jackie found a friend, and more important she decided to change careers.  She went to electrology school and started working.  She wanted to give back.

I'm going to send your words to her.  I know she'll appreciate them.

Dear Moderator:

Considering that electrolysis will soon be one of the centers of my brave new world for the rest of 2023 and well beyond, it's great to know she's still going great guns out there (still in the East Bay area?) somewhere, and doing what she does best.

Meanwhile please keep the flame burning on YouTube and we'll do our best to get by as best remembered through her presence in the time she was.

Given what we seem to be learning about the great Jackie Rabbit, it took only a matter of hours for me to marshall an old friend or two to put together the basic structure of a new YouTube channel which would be built on hers but strive to extend what she was able to accomplish over the course of her media time.

It's a working title, but meet "Gigi's T Room."

Our preliminary production meeting is scheduled for July 12 to work through the scheduling with the intent to get a "pilot" chapter online no later than Tuesday, July 25.

Let's see how many of Jackie's devout followers and/or subscription will be interested in potentially offering their content to a re-boot.

Really the idea is not only to play homage to Jackie, be a whole lot more and in a very different (perhaps more interactive?) package.

What we could use is a "technical advisor" who might know intimately about the original channel whether it be version 1 (say 2017) or 3 or 4 (like as 2021 near the end).

On the top are there any such takers from these forums?

Best Regards,

Gigi Chiasson

Oooh!! @Jani  I may be moving back to CA sometime later this year.  And electrolysis is one of the first things on my to-do list.  I hope I can track Jackie down.  I will drop you a PM when it gets closer if you can help with that 🙏

@JaniI am very happy to hear that Jackie Rabbit is doing well and sounds to be happy in her new life.

She was great influencer in my progression through the turmoil I had for the first year or so. As I am sure she was to a great many others.

Big Canadian Hugs all

  • 2 weeks later...

Dear Moderator & All:

There's a little "blood" (rawness) on this pilot clip, but for it's worth.

Feel free to check it out and my intrepid production team of three (including me) will work in the coming weeks to improve things, step by step...

Just Like Jackie Herself!😀

So, until next time, please drop any comments, corrections or clarifications.  We'll be awaiting amy feedback with baited breath.

For me the creation and production of Gigi's T Room is actually probably the most important group support assignment I'll have during the entire transition, if not beyond.

So, here you go!

I don't know if you all are aware of it but Jackie Rabbit is also a moderator here. Her username here is Jae Bear

Well that's cool!

I can tell her about the "fun" I had setting up for electrolysis in the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

It was Jackie who counseled to get it going as soon as very possible, like Day One!

The market here is wide open if Jackie cares to start a franchising outfit that will take MassHealth.

She would clean up!

Whatever--My consult for Galvanic permanent facial removal is August 8, bowling over the doubters and at the cost of more dead bodies "who won't."  My Gender Care Team was agape with amazement after they had nothing but trouble, probably since it started.

At the risk of some very unladylike bravado:  Call It Gigi Power!

Check out the YouTube Pilot, leave some feedbck and we can add more ornaments to put on its Christmas Tree as we go...

Best Regards,

Gigi C.

Tension is not a well-understood psychological state. It can be both positive and negative, much like stress itself. A 2015 research paper on the theoretical framework of tension notes it's an anticipatory emotional state which tends to be associated with: conflict.

I'd love to have a dinner party with Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Voltaire, and Ayn Rand.  Would definitely be an interesting time.

In the forward I learn that transgenderism is bad, and somewhere else that transgender ideology is bad.  I have not yet read a definition of either in the document.  I assume they are the same.  I know Focus on a Family has a definition of transgenderism on their website, or did, but I am not sure this is the same as that.  I might agree that transgenderism is bad if they use a definition I condemn (e.g. transgenderism means you always pour ketchup in your shoes before you put them on - I could not agree to that).  Is someone who believes in transgenderism, whatever it is, a transgenderist? I never see that term.  There may be other definitions out there, but I don't think there is an Official Definition that we all agree to.

Crazy fact, was gonna go to the school where this went down at before I moved, have a lot of friends there. I know at least one of my friends met the guy on one occasion, not knowing who it was.

They are thinking of Loudon.  The problem there was the girls were not protected from a known predator, who was moved from one school to another instead being effectively disciplined.  Outlaw school administrators? <sarc>

How ironic.  I agree with the governor "“You cannot change your gender; you cannot pick your gender…there is a confused group of people that somehow think you can,”    - we are what we are, we are fighting the fact we CANNOT change our gender, which we did not pick.  Many if not all of us would not have picked a trans condition and have sought to evade, deny or move out or resolve it anyway we can.  Those who are confused on this issue are not trans folk.  They want us to change our gender but they deny we can.  Confusion.

@FinnyFinsterHH no one can satisfy your questions about what will the future hold. But I can advise you to slow your mind down as much as you're able. Take it slow and one moment at a time. This advice goes beyond the practical reality that that's truly all you can do - further, try to enjoy each moment. It's clear you have a lot of aspirations regarding transition. But it's best to try to accept the bounds of your life circumstances at present because if you develop worries or even resentments about them, that will only make you bitter and more anxious. Instead, try to focus on anything you find affirming. Practice positive self-talk and give yourself affirmations too. Try to let go of expectations of your family members - they can only deal with change to the capacity they're able due to their own life conditions. Allow them grace as you wish they would allow you. Practice patience.   Try this exercise - read through your post and make one list of the positive developments and another of things you cannot control (including the future). If you have a sense of spirituality, offer the second list as a sacrifice to however you understand a higher power - leave it in their hands. If you're not spiritual, then offer it up to hope. Then throw that list away. Keep the list of positives and leave some room on it because guaranteed you'll have more and more to add. Look forward to that, but don't let your mind think it can rush things. Try to enjoy the ride.
