Board Game Arena

QuestioningAmber

So I was looking up different options on ways to play board games since it is kind of a past time of mine, and ran across a website called Board Game Arena. I was skeptical at first, but it looks like you can play a variety of board games online for free (ad-supported) and with a subscription, it adds a decent amount more! So I was curious if anybody knew about this already, and I was slow on the research (wouldn't surprise me), or if I am sharing new information others would be interested in. I will leave a link and let me know if you would like to play with me sometime as I did go premium so I can host games for the premium games.

Haven't used board game arena but I've played a very select few games that were translated for pc play. Carcassonne being chill and the music is nice to relax with as you play. Talisman is ok, but the computer rules can get weird and the interface is a bit wonky. Root as a solo player is fine but is more ment for separate system play then same pc pass and play cuz it's hard to hide your cards. Hive is my new chess and is far more interesting since the board is made with the pieces you play. Mysterium though I never played it on pc, if you can get enough players involved could be a lot of fun. Arkham Horror, I find better as a boardgame and you use the app for the cards used for the location. I like to use house rules and add things to increase the variety without adding the extra location maps. But the PC Arkham Horror might be hard fun for the solo adventurer, you just might want to pick two characters though when you play. It can be mean.

@Confused1 @TTheta @Emily michelle @Audrey @Abi @Charlize @gina-nicole-t   I appreciate the warm welcome Home! It is so nice to start back on my regular routine a little bit at a time. I did my daily walk for the first time in almost 3 weeks. It wasn’t my regular 3 mile route but I did manage to do a very slow 1 mile walk around our neighborhood. It was nice to say hi to a few of my regular passerby's on the route. It felt like I walked 3 miles though..lol   Many Thanks All, Susan R🌷

@Jandi When you have parents like that running your life it gives you a complex as to how the rest of the world really is. All they wanted me to believe was just how the Church believed the world worked, not how the world really is. As we all know those are two distinct different things. You can believe in God, and live in the world without being a horrible person. Problem was they were horrible people living in the Church (not the first time we have heard of such things). After their deaths I was fortunate to travel the world and learn everything they chose to keep from me, and it was eye opening to say the least. I learn about the world, and more about myself in the process. Yes the abuse I endured was horrible, the lack of friendship, and being able to date didn't make high school pleasant. However, now that I am in the process of my gender transition I have a community that I could never have hoped for in my wildest dreams that supports me and everyone else. I have friends now from all over the world. It's more than I ever could've hoped for when I was young.  Hugs,  Gina

Well it's a no go on the analyst position.  I didn't have the qualifications they where looking for. I am thinking more BLM than LGBTQ.  Even though that is what they advertised for.    Not sure that my wife wouldn't throw it away. Jackie. She has done it before. There is a position with V.S. that I may apply for.  And there is a service dispatcher for a  Cat dealer also.    Kymmie

I can be pretty flamboyant and spontaneous. I'm pretty sure my spouse is WELL beyond being embarrassed by anything I do. Well, anything I'm likely to do that won't get me arrested.     Huzzah! I'm glad your doctors have their issues worked out. Probably a good idea to keep it quiet from your spouse though. I can TOTALLY see her tossing your E out of spite.   Hugs!

Good afternoon everyone,   @Audreyyour comments, insight, and perspective are always welcome. I take no offense. @Willow is the better orator to explain things from our generational view and long marriages. @Jandiis also someone who's experiences I hope to lean on as my transition progresses.   @ElizabethStarit has always been my view that if you're not the one cooking. Don't judge, this ain't Chopped and Martha Stewart isn't coming over. You're the caregiver today and the menu is your choice.   @KymmieLCongratulations on getting your medication issues worked out.   I really do look forward to reading this thread, Thanks again @KymmieLfor starting it.   Hugs,   Mindy🐛🌈🦋

Wow, Justine. Looks very much like after some research and a few good conversations with her, you may have a trusted ally in your corner. Hopefully, you will find ‘easy to digest’ materials or videos for her to peruse. Someone who loves you enough to learn about what you’re going through is saying so much about your sister. Your relationship will change but sometimes change is required to get to that next level. I am so happy for you. Everyone needs a close ally during a journey like this. Maybe your sister will be yours!   My Best, Susan R🌷

I'm 70 myself didn't want to wait any longer to start HRT. But I am MtF, and the idea of having to hide myself would bother me. But It looks like you have a plan.  And having the funds for surgeries would be nice. Hope it works out for you.

@WillowI am sorry to hear of your situation.   Although my wife and I split before I accepted that I was trans myself, I still love her, and I'm sure I always will.  I don't think that connection will ever be broken. It must be heartbreaking to hear her talking like this. I so wish that we could all get past these issues and just love each other for who we are.  There is always hope, I have to believe this.   @KymmieL Like Willow has said, eventually this will come out, as I'm sure you are aware. I hope things will work out for you.

@KymmieL I understand your desire for secrecy about your new medications. But what are you going to say when she sees them or changes brought about by them?  What if things begin to work out, how are you going to explain without destroying your relationship progress?     it’s none of my business how you choose to proceed but I suggest you consider the possibility of your wife mellowing and where this could go should you practice deception now.   Good luck with your choice and with the medications.   Willow
