What are you wearing today?

I am not out to anyone but my therapist, my doctor and her wonderful nurse, tonight was my appointment for blood draw. A preclude to our appointment next week to discuss HRT I wore my favorite blouse and sweater shawl under my jacket. The small wins right now make my heart warm......thank you all

@Jackie C. yes, totally worth it! I’ve become pretty good at the “gather, twist, chin-hold “ method for dealing with skirts before sitting…

this is my ensemble today. Not very glamorous, with the binding from BA surgery, but my girlfriend still thinks I’m beautiful. I think I’m beautiful, and that’s that part that matters.

You look happy. Happy is better than glamorous. Maybe not better than witchy, but I always look witchy. ?

I've always said that actually. "All women are beautiful, you just have to know how to look." About time I met somebody else that gets it.

Hugs!

But, as many of you know, transitioning doesn't leave much room for being embarrassed.  Being in alignment with my true self has given me confidence I could never come near just using my will power.  I've worked with this group for ten years and our Facebook page has thousands of friends...might as well go big.  ?‍♀️

I always wanted to be a hot chick guitarist...I may be on my way.  ? ?

So true. You need to get over yourself quick when you are transitioning and out FT. I had a recent experience that I was mortified by the idea of but ended up just not a big deal. I had genital electrolysis and while yes- the pain part was something I was afraid of, what really worried me was my "maleness" be exposed and handled by a stranger.  But once I got there I didn't feel embarrassed at all. Kinda like when a woman is in labor and she could care less who sees her privates lol.

Anyways- you look great up on stage and I think you are already that hot guitar chick so you might as well embrace it.

I have trouble getting buns to stay in place for very long.

You look adorable BTW.

Thank you so much! I'm terrible with buns. With hair in general really. So I'm kind of super excited about this.

My hair lives in a "messy bun" 70 % of the week. With all the curls I get 1-2 days of looking good down after wash day, then bed head kicks in or I have to do some maintenance. Luckily messy buns are adorable with the curls.  Speaking of adorable- Rowan...damn gurl!

I will post a pic of what I'm wearing today" later. Been recovering from G. Electro plus moving an office the last 2 weeks so was not very "put together" but today I'm working in the consignment shop so I will put some effort into things. hahaha. I'm still in the having to wear a bigger skirt phase since the damn electro has made it impossible to tuck from a comfort standpoint.  My fashion style of wearing tighter/body con apparel has limited me lately. lol

I'll have to try that method next I wear a long skirt. You really do look happy. And, I love you nails. I was going to do the same with mine, just can't find my black polish. I might have left it at work.

Today I'm working on my voice. I let it go after my accident a few years ago.

So I decided on wearing this today to get things started.

As far as sitting in dresses and skirts, stand at a slant facing the chair and twist into it.

Ladies,

As usual, you all look lovely.  I love all the style choices.

This outfit is what I wore today while doing errands and going out to lunch.

I got to wear this OFFICIALLY this morning, https://www.transgenderpulse.com/forums/index.php?/gallery/album/2533-2021-events-of-note/  We spent from 10;30 to 2:15 making a "sizzle reel" for a TDOR on-line show next month with a 16 year old pianist (Cis) who wrote and played a special composition of a song that is in our Standard Repertory.  I am tired out and for some reason can no longer stand the darn thing.  Oh well, it was fun.

Found this boho deep plunge top with flared sleeves at the consignment shop today so wore it out to dinner.

Went out to see a friends band and lots of people I haven't seen out since pre-pandemic. I haven't been out late on a Saturday night in a long time either. I got to re-introduce myself to friends as "Stevie" and let a few know I am starting HRT. There was big love all around in our little scene as usual.

Looking great @Bri2020! As per usual.

I like that outfit @stveee! I'm too ashamed of my stomach to ever ear it, but you're rockin' the crop top!

Hugs!

I don't know yet. I'm sure there is going to be a big crowd. I also would have to keep up with the kids and probably won't enjoy myself mostly.
    • Ashley0616
I can understand that. My Keurig is used for hot water mostly and when my mom comes. I mostly use a regular coffee maker. I have had that for 5 years now. I had a Bunn but it didn't last long. I also have a French press and rarely use that. I would love to get a cappuccino maker but that is for later on. Starbucks is getting expensive. My kids favorite thing there is the cake pops. I found out that Walmart Neighborhood Market has them. Typical me getting off topic. lol

Well, welcome M.A. Several of my now grown kids were involved in theater in school.  And one is now a graphic designer.

Wow what a busy day today.  Clearly the summer crowd is coming into town.  Doesn’t hurt that we have a PGA event here.  It is limited to 100 players. But the spectators is where the crowd is.   i alone more than doubled my usual sales.     we keep hearing thunderstorms however they are staying just west of us for now. The storms in western Tennessee right now are supposed to be here in the morning.

Edit: Latest album is called "Drumless". My bad. The name of their tour is Drummer.

My gen z cousin & her gf were visiting the last few days. We are a very, very small contingent of queer members of our family & we stick together. She and her gf introduced me to G Flip. They recently attended a concert and said it was the best concert ever. They were playing G Flip in the car and I was impressed by the vocals, the lyrics, the influences, and the percussion (G is also a drummer). I love a nonbinary vocalist (not that we get to hear so many...yet...) because the freedom from gender performance shines forth. I could hear influences from many styles of music I loved in the 90s, but all blended together in a joyfully percussive way. G Flip is rad! I would post a link to some tracks or an album, but there are explicit lyrics which would go against community rules - you can easily search youtube yourself if you're interested; their latest album is called "Drummer". But here is a picture of G who is serving us gorgeous nonbinary vintage Axl Rose!

Welcome, @MAN8791. I relate to this so much. I'm roughly the same age as you, afab & nonbinary. For decades, I beat myself up for being a "broken" girl/woman. And I tried my darndest for many of those years to perform woman successfully. While outwardly I may have seemed "a success", inwardly the effort and dysphoria caused me so much anxiety, panic, and depression that it eventually became unsustainable. For me, the first step was letting go of identifying as "broken". Next, I allowed myself to be however I am. And very rapidly I felt better - in fact, initially I felt ecstatic. The door was open for me to really learn about self-love and therefore love itself.

Well, the counter space in the kitchenette is pretty Limited. But also cost, and usefulness. I guess she is mostly right, and it isn't really important.

Wasn't sure whether to post this in the "uplifting news" or "news" forum. This bill is pro-LGBTQ+, albeit 30 some odd years too late with 100s of thousands of lives lost throughout the AIDS crisis. The upshot is that ol' Ron has actually done some good for the community. That's really...something...although I doubt he sees it that way. And most importantly, greater access to screening and care will save many lives.   https://ncpa.org/newsroom/qam/2024/05/01/floridas-governor-signs-bill-expand-hiv-care

Both of my parents were raised in WASP-ish families. What was or wasn't appropriate, with an emphasise on superficial appropriateness (conformity) was verbally beaten into me the second I hit puberty.   Which is really sad as I think back, and was bewildering at the time. I remember being really free to be expressive how I wanted to and then once I started puberty, all of that freedom disappeared and I didn't understand, at all.
