@Bri2020 I love a great LBD and yours gets my vote for your New Years party outfit! As much as I love the sparkle in the halter dress though. You can have both if you pair the LBD with those sparkly heels you are talking about, a great clutch, and some earrings!

Speaking of sparkle... @Elizabeth Star ❤️

Love,

~Audrey.

@Erica Gabriel

Is that a phoenix on your necklace? I just love the symbolism! I have been looking on Etsy for something like that myself, they *always* have the best stuff!

I've gone back and forth on my "spiritual symbol". I've seen a lot of people connect with the Phoenix due it the symbolism of rising again from such adversity and trauma and living to fight another day. While I  feel my path had been challenging my past also included a life of joy and love. The Butterfly is a powerful symbol of transformation and growth as well but while I love the beauty of them I just don't feel they call to me.  I've decided that the Dragonfly is my spiritual symbol.  Here's the definition I found on them that hits home for me. (They can)  be a symbol of self that comes with maturity. They can symbolize going past self-created illusions that limit our growth and ability to change. The Dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. The Dragonfly means hope, change, and love.

I just ordered these.

Yes it is. It was a gift from my sister-in-law who buys everything on Amazon.

I totally dig the scarf and those knees 🥰. I notice how you pose with your feet pointed inward. I may try that to see if it improves the symmetry between my skinny legs and size 10 feet.

Thank you, and yes I do! You can also pose with one leg crossed slightly in front of the other. Both are distinctly feminine. Also anything you can do to elongate the leg line such as high waisted pieces, pointy toed shoes, and heels of course. I am doing all three in this look.

Am I crazy to have bare legs in the winter? Probably. I wore a nice wool coat over this while I was outside!

Today I'm doing dots.

Same old basement, same old lady.

I didn't do my nails because of that darn banjo.

Now I got a split nail and they are havoc on pantyhose.

Sigh.

P.S. I'm still not doing very well on the banjo yet, a few more weeks and finger nails maybe

then I can post a tune.

Today I went with this dress. Had nothing planned so I went comfy.

I used to have real long hair, shaved it off for some stupid reason.

This is 1.5 years growth since the buzz cut.

A tshirt and shorts, and socks. I have a tight fitting tshirt that's my favorite because it lets me show off a little. I wear skirts sometimes and although I only own skirts to my knee it doesn't matter to me what length they are.

In the past year, I have felt differently about wearing heels than I did in the past. I started to become sensitive about my height. I'm actually kind of short - at 5'8". I just want to be a bit shorter, not that it's critical! Despite that, it's fun to wear heels and I love walking in them. But my favorite pair of shoes is a pair of flat stylish sandals.

@LindaMarie I absolutely love that dress! It reminds me that spring will come again after the winter.

I am wearing my black pencil skirt suit today with a red top, and some fun festive jewelry, for our client holiday event in the office today. Lots of my colleagues are wearing red today so I felt right at home with all of them. Sadly I did not take a selfie at home and the mirror in the ladies' room here is pretty terrible. What is a girl to do? 😇

Love,

~Audrey.

No pic today but it popped up to 67 degrees so wore a tie dye sundress and sandals and drove around doing errands with the convertible top down.  I'm sure it will be brutally cold tomorrow. lol. Mid atlantic weather is so funny sometimes.

I think I am going to go get a pedicure (the sandals show them looking worse for wear) and my new evening dress shoes arrived today so I might try them on and take a pic later

I started feminizing HRT about 6-7 weeks ago. I began with what I called the beginner's patch. I immediately found myself wanting to level up to the next dose and did that this week (yay!). So far, I am enjoying the ride.   I've read everything I can find on this topic. For the HRT vets on here, what is reasonable to expect in terms of physical changes for someone starting in their 50s? I know "your mileage may vary." I guess I am curious if I stay on my current trajectory for six months, a year, multiple years, how pronounced will the physical changes be? Will I reach a point where it is totally obvious or will I land in a "middle zone" somewhere in which I could pass either way?   Thanks! Like I said I am enjoying the ride so far and always curious to know others' experiences. Not sure anyone else in my life will be excited about these moves I am making, but I have been over that in many places on here already so need to rehash... Love and blessings to all!   Easy

Being admitted into the hospital after a long ER visit. I started passing lots of blood and they are keeping me for observation.    Nurse came in to see about a condom catheter, that of course doesn't work on me. 🤣   She said, "I guess we will use incontinence supplies on you."

Yeah.  I think this is what it is about.  Since they are not transgender, nobody else could possibly be either.  I'm not sure that a cisgender person can understand being transgender.  But that hardly means that a transgender person's experience is not real - just because it is not theirs. Why is a transgendered person's experience not valid, while a cisgendered person's is?  Why should it be the cisgendered person that decides? Nobody is forcing a cis person to transition.  What I do for myself is my own business.

I've been thinking it is a matter of belief.  They simply do not believe someone can validly be transgender and should not be allowed to practice their beliefs, but should be forced to practice their belief, that is, that there is no such thing as transgender and it is all mental illness/sin/hormonal imbalance.

I am really kind of sick of everybody who is not transgender deciding on what we need and do not need in the way of procedures. They act like all of this is play acting, and we can just apply cosmetics to our entire body. It might be refreshing if someone asked us directly what services we need in order to transition. I could say more as I am frustrated, but I do not want to violate the TOS.

Good luck on selling your wife on the idea of a different car. This could be tougher than negotiating with a dealership.   My wife agreed to my taking profit out of the company to buy a used truck once we found out the 2014 F-250 I currently had with 267,244 miles on it was needing new torque converter solenoids and the DEF system is chocking up. We bought a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, Duramax 4X4, with 163,000 miles. LTZ Off Road package, power mirrors, chrome step boards, rear camera, exhaust brake, and air lift bags on the rear suspension. It belonged to a friend of mine who also owned a mobile training business.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
