What are you wearing today?

Having a bit of fun being the lady in red today. A bit later I had to shopping - so I put on an appropriately coloured jacket but with a pink scarf!

my new evening dress shoes arrived today

Lucky you.

I ordered some boots awhile back and they're still on a state by state tour of the country.

Well since @Jackie C.twisted my arm… 😂.  Rocked out the new flag patch. One bit of actual color on me.

Not QUITE as cool as my danger noodle pin, but I love it!

Hugs!

This weekend, I am attending a Christmas dinner with friends, so last night, I spent a couple of hours trying on different items from my closet trying to decide what I'll wear.  I didn't try on any of my gowns - they are a bit too dressy for the occasion, but I did try on several other dresses.  I have this one particular red dress that is going to be part of the final lineup.  I also paired one of my red skirts with a brown tank top and over that I put on a cropped black jacket - a very good looking combination that has also made it to the final lineup.  Then I tried on several pairs of pumps thinking boots weren't dressy enough, but then I found a shoebox buried in the back of my closet that contained a pair of very dressy ankle boots with quite high heels.  Actually forgot about these, but when I tried them on, they really rocked the skirt-jacket combo - not so much for any of the dresses - pumps would be the order of the day, for any of those.

So, after two-hours trying on clothes I am absolutely, positively, still not certain what I'll be wearing Saturday night.  Who says too many choices is a good thing?

^ this.  lol.  We do expect a photo of the final choice and maybe of the bed of discarded choices. Haha

Any given day there are 2-3 outfits on my bed when I leave for the day that didn't make the cut.

I'm just hanging out at home today. I went with this dress today.

I too have closets full of clothes, makes it hard to decide what to wear.

I still want to look good even if just at home, I never know who is coming over.

Made a quick trip over to the Food Lion.  The rest of the day should just be hang at home.

I've probably posted this outfit before, but it's what's on today.

Well, this one is for the record book. I didn't plan this video,

not even dressed for it.

I posted a pic of me and my banjo a few back, so now I play.

Terri Anne, this is your fault. This tune is for you, banjo fever!!!

(I'm sooooo out of practice...sigh...)🙄

Not from today, as I am at what used to be "our" house, but is now hers, with 3 of the 4 kids. Can't be Hannah around her per our agreement. So I have to present as the person I pretended to be for 68+ years. Not comfortable, but it's for the kids.

Anyway, the pic is from Wednesday on my way home from my therapist. I stopped by my neighborhood park on a cold windy day because I wanted1117579069_IMG_20211215_1214154193.thumb.jpg.57c29cba04157df92721e5d507133ac2.jpg a picture of me in my new dress.

Love the look, especially the belt!

Bri, I never had decision issues regarding what to wear as a guy - didn't really care all that much, but Sally is much more more discerning in her wardrobe choices.  As for those ideas I mentioned in my last post, forget it, I am wearing something completely different.  Who says I'm not a woman inside?  My wife helped me with the decision ultimately.  Heading out for dinner now, but when I get home later, I might just post a picture.

This is the dress I wore to dinner tonight.  After trying on several outfits and modeling them for my wife, she asked me to try on this dress.  I was actually going to pass on it since I thought it was too dressy.  My wife thought otherwise and when she actually saw mw in it, she convinced me to wear it.  She said it looked great and tonight's Christmas dinner was the perfect opportunity for me to wear it.  I have to agree.  The booties are also very dressy, so they seemed a good compliment to the dress.  I got lots of compliments, so ultimately, it was a good choice.

Today I'm wearing finger tip rings of another sort.

Banjo practice is coming along faster than I expected, thanks to on line practice and the finger picks.

Cripple Creek I will play next video, well maybe. 🙄

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?

Congrats to your family on the new addition!

Funny you think that I would be able to get through more than two sentences with how bad my stutter gets (joking, of course)   My topic would probably be mythology, random Japan factoids in my mind, or a favorite story   (Best option would be a fave story of mine including a lot of factoids on Japanese myths-)

I read each of your entries and learn so much. Thank you, especially, for the TransCentralPA info. I have been looking fora group and activities where I could express myself safely and with support. I missed this year's conference but next year might be possible and I am going to look at their other events, too.

I have read numerous accounts of trans folk no longer being welcome among evangelicals.   I am here for help and fellowship not to rebuke anyone.  I can take a pretty high degree of insult, etc., and you haven't insulted me, to my recollection anyway :) and I usually let it go.  But I thought I would let it all out there.   I am sure I disagree with you on numerous issues.  I appreciate other people's viewpoints, including those who radically disagree with me.  Intellectual challenge is good. One thing I appreciate about @MaeBe.
