Thanks so much! I went with the bluer one, but it was a tough choice ❤

I'm really into my retro housewife/mother image, and wanted an old fashioned pinafore apron, the sleeveless, button at the back of the neck type.  So I'm making one, in pale blue gingham check, ruffles at the shoulders, couple of large pockets in front.  So far so good, just need to do the ruffles.  Now the surprise.  This is the first item of clothing I've ever made (well, i think we sewed a simple apron at primary school, age 7 or so).  Can't be a retro housewife and not sew!  Don't have a machine, so it's all by hand.  Really enjoying this.  Then I'll be able to tackle things like taking a skirt out/in. Happy days.

You are going to have to post a pic of it for us when you are done. It sounds lovely!

Another hang at the house day for me.   Feeling a little stiff from stacking firewood yesterday.

This is wise advice!  Look up Iris, she's quite the character.

Dress for the weather you want not the weather you have. It was -1 degrees when I left this morning but I still wore a skirt. Since I developed a protective layer of insulation on my legs it takes a lot for them to get cold. Arms and hands are a different story.

Liz, I absolutely love, and identify, with this mindset.  Can I use it, please?🙂

If your hair was shorter, you could be my aunt Melba.

Sorry no pictures but red sweater and blue jeans. Over the ankle Hey Dude leopard print shoes.

definitely needed warm clothes today.   Warmer tomorrow followed by rain tomorrow night.  Then back to cold for the beginning of the week.

You are right Liz dress for the weather.

I went out and shoved snow this morning and it was 11 degrees.

When I hear people say fat is an insulator and keep you from getting cold I call BS. LOLOL

Those people are skinny most of the time too.

I stayed out for 30 minutes shoveling and had to come back in because I was super cold.

My Uncle Jim aka “TINY” was 6’8” and 400+pounds, would defend your opinion on that. He use to say that he got colder because he had more surface area to get cold. He hated Winter.

I have a FtM friend who lives in Arkansas who said, "In Arkansas we just call that 'female.' Probably straight drives a 4x4 to church."

It made me feel a lot better about how I looked.

I've known several women who fit that exact description.

There is a woman like that at my neighborhood Goodwill.

Really nice lady but to just glance at her you would think she was a stocky male farm hand.

Very friendly and has always been nice to chat with.

Today I tamed it down. I used a cheap lip stick. I'm only going

to Walmart, I want to blend in. And I didn't want to waist expensive red goo in a tube

for a Walmart trip.

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

I am sorry for your struggles. I cannot empathize, but I can surely sympathize. I wish only the best for you!

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑

My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.
    • RaineOnYourParade
This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

Anyone play war and order on their phones?
    • violet r
I can relate.  I have always played a female character when given the opportunity. Not really and reason except I just alway pick them since I was young

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.
