I was invited to a birthday party for a woman at work, which was, for me, a wonderful gesture of acceptance and affirmation. There was one other woman from work, who is my closest friend there, with the rest being family. Anyway, this is what I wore:

I absolutely adore the outfit, Hannah! Everything goes together beautifully. You're really rocking the "sophisticated biker chick" vibe! You go, girl.

On the plus side, with wigs you can change your look with your mood, and not have to wait for the undercut to grow back.

Hi Mmindy. Changing my look is good, but I'm gonna have to get my whole head shaved if I'm getting implants anyway. Wait time till I start to see a full head of hair would be well over a year, I'm afraid.

You looked like you were ready to dance the night away.

I was wearing heels for the first time in months and my feet were not enjoying the experience. So no dancing for me, sadly.

@Betty KYeah it was thick and curly.  Lucky genes.

Looking at it transitionally, it was thinning  in front and receding in a non-gender-affirming way.  I decided to put everything I had in on what’s really a vain cosmetic thing.  Instead of towards surgery or continuing hair removal.  I chose it over electrolysis which had to stop for a year.

But I knew I’d see the results every single time I saw a mirror or someone looked at me.  I knew I’d be spending most of my time working and that usually long hair has to be tied up somehow.

Wigs are awesome too.  So many sexy women rocking them in the day to day.
I have this long red,  and a blonde one too.  86471663-01FC-4E1D-B39B-4597AA12C8A1.thumb.jpeg.aba98516a8f0f53fe526e1011bb8ca89.jpegI’m not great at wearing or maintaining them.

@Maddee I don’t see why fixing your hair is any more vain or cosmetic than all the other stuff we do to ourselves. To me it’s just as much about gender affirmation as electrolysis or laser or BA or FFS. A receding hairline is a dead giveaway that someone is AMAB and in my case it’s my biggest source of dysphoria. I would absolutely spend all I had on the surgery if I could expect results as good as yours.

@Hannah Renee thanks for the encouragement!

After i did a split dye on my hair, I found out it glows under a black light. This opened up a whole new world of outfits for me.

My first time out in the world, at my bestie's house,  wearing a tube top. One of my gf's had suggested that since there was a lot of money invested in my top surgery that I should show them off a bit.

Here's a very rare picture of me not wearing black. The top was a gift but I really like how it goes with my hair.

Since my hair glows, I started adding more neon green to my look. My boot laces do glow but sadly the green on my skirt does not. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to fix it or if it's even possible. I feel I need something green on my torso, just don't know what yet. Maybe fishnet or some sort of mesh top.

Shorts and T-Shirt and a binder. I only Have one pair, All my gender-affirming clothing was bought in Chicago during winter. So today, I was depressed, decided that I could use a binder day!

Currently almost 1 am and I'm already dressed. Going with "bored Hot Topic cashier" today, though I can't post the photo b/c of my age.

To describe, b+w striped turtleneck (thin cotton, no sweaters today) under a white polo, my favorite baggy black jeans with completely shredded knees and hems, skeleton socks, pins (Black Parade skeleton, Kagamine Len and a random skeleton pin from an event), knock off Converse with a touch of fake blood and lyrics scrawled all over them, a chain and a spiked skeleton choker. Hair was straightened, eyeliner is two days old and it's topped off with black nail polish.
