I suppose so many women were mostly pants these days.  And bare legs aren't quite as scandaless as they might have been in the past.

My ex-sister in law always wears jeans and a t shirt.  Most of the women I know do, and dress up only for a special event, not particularly looking forward to it even.

I'm in t shirt and jeans.

I'll wear yoga pants and sometimes pants but I don't feel female enough when I wear that except for yoga pants and capris. I mostly love to wear dresses. I have over 100 of them and even 14 are for winter. There are also a lot of days if I'm not going anywhere I might even stay in my nightgown. If it's church then definitely a dress.

I gave up on church when they declared war on us

screw them. dint need the building to pray to God..but I'll bet the dresses look cute

I pretty much always wear dresses.  Doesn't the Bible tell me not to wear "that which pertaineth unto a man?"

I'm sorry I know that I was going to be accepted so I left the church I went to for the last 3 years and which I was still being treated like a visitor. I'm now known at the church I go to and they appreciate the volunteer work I do for the church. Thank you I try to be cute. I have a red plaid design dress and I found matching shoes just need to save up and wait for the season to be right.

There are numerous LGBTQAI+ friendly churches out there. You can likely find one you would like.

I am not sure anyone "declared war on us."   Feels like it sometimes, though.  It is a difficult situation.

Heh.

Wholly cultural.  There is an essay by a church father on how scandalous pants are. Floor length robes are the way to go or you are immodest. I have not tracked it down.

And the Hebrew is interesting here.

I haven't been in boy mode since May 2023. I just took a big leap and got rid of all of my men's clothes and haven't looked back since. Wearing men's clothes didn't feel good anymore.

It has given me an anxiety attack before.  I don't do it anymore.

I guess I was unclear.   I meant to ask something like, do they know you are transgender?

Maybe not the rank and file churches, but there are churches that pretty much have.

As for clothing today, 7/8 leggings and my button down ladies flannel shirt (buttoned down a little ;)).

I haven't gone out in full "boy clothes" in months. I have worn my old hoodies, but those don't count!

Yes everyone knows. I put up a pride flag last June and all but one neighbor doesn't talk to me. I publicly announced it on April 17th. I posted a picture of myself in a dress and thought the group was private on Facebook. Needless to say my sister asked me what that was about and did a group message on Facebook messenger to family and not even a month after that my soon to be ex abandoned me. I also joined this forum on April 21st. I have slowly been building myself up. Driver's license, Social Security, VA, DEERS, and just last week I submitted the paperwork for my discharge paperwork to show Ashley instead. All the bills are in my name and the only thing left is my birth certificate.

One thing I have repeatedly read is that TG folk are unwelcome in churches.  It might be good if somewhere you mentioned what kind of church you attend.  I would like to see those alienated from the church over this issue restored and it would be good if you pointed the direction.  I'm thinking of some that might be, but you are on the inside.

I attend an evangical lutheran church that is actually even closer than the church that I was originally going to. They accept everyone! I'm very lucky to have found that church.

Not to my knowledge is this true of anyone.  I think you may need to work on some issues.

Oh missyjo - I'm so sorry to hear that.

If you on occasion find yourself in Cleveland, I invite you to visit Trinity Cathedral (Episcopal) - they are very LGBT+ welcoming.

This might do better over in the Religion/Christianity forum.  Many TG folk struggle with the church's sometimes misunderstanding of what is going on.

I like Mark Yarhouse's work and Preston Sprinkle's.  But there is a lot to stay away from.  I am disappointed in the SBC and Focus on the Family. Catholics seem all over the map.

People who are out publicly, and openly transgender, maybe on HRT, having changed names and gender, have a lot to lose if anti-trans politicians take power.  They have openly called for our eradication, and promise to do everything they can to accomplish this.  (again, 2025) For someone in this position the election is about our survival.  It's foolish to delude ourselves into thinking "Oh, they don't really mean that.  It's all for show," or, "There's other more important things to concern ourselves with." Maybe for some people the other things take priority.  But if you have skin in the game, things look different.

If that happens, a lot of things I don't want to see might also be codified into law.  And some things that shouldn't be law might not get repealed.  To me, progress in one area isn't worth the price we'd have to pay in several other areas.     For me, voting on LGBTQ issues always ends up as an "out of the frying pan, but into the fire" sort of event.

Trying out a new wig. Got my reading glasses on. I've also got dark roots now - first time in years.

Thea, your post made me think of a comic named Chloe Petts whom I saw recently on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix. She is a cisgender masculine lesbian. She is brilliant and so funny. I was intrigued by her identification - specifically masculine, not butch. And it seems to me there is a difference.

Today I had a dr appt. When I checked in, I was asked my surname, which I gave. Apparently there were two patients with appointments at that time with that same surname. The receptionist asked, "Are you (my legal name which is feminine) or Paul?" I got such a kick out of it not being assumed I had the feminine name.
    • Vidanjali
That must have felt affirming, albeit perhaps weirdly so. However, I'd construe that more broadly (no pun intended) as sexism rather than misogyny where the latter would imply contempt. Also, incidentally, I've heard chivalry referred to as "benevolent sexism".

My boss is in a panic. His business is a couple straws away from breaking a camel in half. He's just handling the stress very poorly.   My dad, though. He's handling things pretty well, as long as I continue to don't get massively offended by being called: son, boy, etc. His eldest is leaving the State and looks so different than he's been used to over the years. I haven't told him I'm on HRT, but to be fair the changes haven't been massive. I've always had boobs, more so after COVID weight gain and made more obvious with its loss, but now I'm not hiding them--and obviously wearing a bra. The estrogen has done some work, but nothing major (sadly). I think the biggest HRT changes have been my skin and a mild amount of fat redistribution.   Today I'm wearing my cheater, I almost have cleavage! :D I need to get another t-shirt bra to keep a good rotation. I only have two, one push-up, and the rest are unlined (great for Summer, but not great for my Summer wardrobe ).

I eat a ketogenic diet and have had no problems. I don't know about your case but I suspect it is the estrogen. Research the types of ways to take estrogen. Pay close attention to the bloodwork results. If they are not satisfactory, bring it up with your doctor. I take injectables, which are fully covered by insurance. It may not be the route for you, but something to consider. I emphasize to do your research and good luck. You can solve this. Be persistent.    Jennifer

I'm in a magenta blouse under a baby blue buttoned cardigan - still a little cool here in the northeast today - with dark blue jeans. Oh, and my favorite flame colored copper feather earrings.
    • April Marie
What a wonderful photo! You look gorgeous!!!

White crop top and capri jeans ;) Finaly tricked the face id on my phone, "that's not you" lol.
    • JenniferB
This is my opinion, so take it for that. Fatigue is based more on what you eat. Eat a more healthy diet, and stay away from ultra-processed foods and that should help. Think of eating the way we did a couple hundred years ago before the industrial revolution. It's just a thought.   Jennifer
