Wearing a light grey bra under a white tank top above medium blue short-shorts. Of course my standard lip gloss.
Today my hair is "wild", and I'm leaving it that way. It kind of matches the look of how I feel today. 😎💃

April Marie, thank you for saying that. I do my best to try to look nice and then not to worry, but I usually worry some.

Oh my gosh can I understand that @SamC. I always worry about how I look. It's actually kind of funny when I think about it. In my old persona, I didn't care about wrinkles or colors - I grabbed clothes and put them on. Now, it's worrying that everything is pressed, do my earrings go with my outfit, how's my make-up and hair.....  But as much as I worry, it also just feels good.

I think it is because when we had to present as male, we didn’t feel it was our true selves. And now it does feel good to present as our true selves. Plus, men’s stuff is so boring.  We can now express ourselves more. But part of me always worries about being clocked.

Now that I've finished house chores and have cleaned up, I'm wearing a black skort, a white blouse with black pineapples on it and pink flip flops. Trying new styles for my natural hair now that it's long enough to play with - no wig for me this afternoon.

I'm in the waiting room at the hospital and I headed over to the restrooms. There was a lady waiting there and she said, "we have a waiting line, but go ahead of me if your need to".

I saw the men's restroom was empty, so again I passed as a woman. I told her to go ahead of me because I can wait.

It feels so good when people see me as female 💖

I remember early in my transition, that I asked someone where the restroom was and was directed to the ladies room which was an amazing feeling!  Even a few weeks ago when I had Covid and got sent to the local hospital/clinic, the woman who was taking my information in the examination room before I saw the doctor asked me if I'd had a period recently, which was really flattering to hear even if I had to explain who I was to her.  It's really so nice when people accept us as women, isn't it?

Well, today was my very first time in the ladies room. People keep calling me "ma'am" everywhere I go, so I guess I pass well enough. 😉

I can't believe it myself because I dress androgynous. 🤔

Sweetie, I have seen photos that show just enough to see that you are much more female than male. You body knew all along that you are a lady. I only wish mine would have been so kind. I look like my dad with breast. But then my grandma looked just like my dad so the women in my family are what they called "plain" My dad side was part native American and the men and women look pretty much the same.

Birdie, you just keep being you.

Love ya

Just remember a lot of how people accept you is the way you present yourself, your walk, your personality, the "aura" you have.  And if you really present yourself overall in a genuinely feminine way, even if you aren't overdoing it on clothes, people will accept you that way.

I have my dear friend that coaches me on how to act, how to sit, how to "everything". She is a gold mine of information.

She says, "hun, you have the body for it".

I'm a DD and curvy. I guess I do. 🤔

I sit with ladies everyday 💖

You are such an inspiration to those of us just finding our ways. Your confidence alone warms my heart. 💕

Thanks April.  I know I am very lucky that a local post-op woman in her 50s that has unofficially adopted me as her daughter has taught me so many good lessons like that about transitioning.  But in a community like this where we have so many challenges, we should always pass on good advice!

It is so very helpful to those of us women just in the early stages of our becoming and without local mentors. I soak up every bit of advice and knowledge here that I can. This community is life-giving.

It's been a year or so since I last posted here and there has been a lot of "water under the bridge" since then.

I am now spending most of my time as a woman (although I still spend some time as a man, but now that is at my choice rather than my wife's).

In the last couple of weeks I've had my ears pierced, gel nails applied professionally and started hormone treatment as well as attending the local Pride march.

So here are a couple of pics of what I was wearing today :)

Please keep us posted on how well your hormone treatments go.

My doctor might start me on low doses of hormones to address my hot flashes. 🤔

From what yo've posted on here, only a Republican would mistake you for a man.

We had soup and steamed rice for dinner tonight.  Simple, basic, feed-a-ton-of-people kind of food.  With strawberries for dessert!  We have a huge strawberry patch, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon picking.  And there's some left over, which I put in the downstairs kitchenette.  Time for a late night snack!     Outside of meals, I mostly live by nibbling on fruit and a few green things.

Well, it is officially summer.  85 degrees outside the last two days, and GF is sick and irritable.  I have to curl up under heavy blankets in my nest, because she's got the AC turned down to the point I expect to see icicles growing on the ceiling.  This is what life is like when your partner is an arctic creature. I should be used to it by now, but just when I think its nice and warm, she has to freeze me.

I just can't resist.  Does all that mean that.............the bird is the word?
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Well, that might be interesting.  At least since she's 24, its not like you're on the hook for expenses.

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

I’m a lefty. Learned to be a bit ambidextrous for certain tools that assume right handedness like scissors, but couldn’t write with my right hand to save my life.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

@April Marie Yes, it's something to shop for at least for 6-8 weeks.

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.
