Girl's Night Out?

I have told some of my friends that I am transgender and one of my friends wants me to come over for like a girl's night. She wants to do my hair, talk, and such. I would really like to do it, but what other people found out. Then what would I say? I, when alone, do my hair and other things that make me feel good about myself. But, I always make myself look how I did before I did my hair, makeup, and such. If word got out I did that stuff with a friend that could cause a lot of trouble. Some peopel all ready know my secret, but if others found out then what.

Then other people know.

After that, three things can happen: they can say "cool", they can say "ew", or they can forget about it. Okay, I think I simplified it a little bit, but the point is, if people find out, which they probably will, some of them will be cool with it, others will be mean to you, and some will just not care. By that point, you can't really control who knows and who doesn't so you just have to stand strong and take the bull by the horns (if there is a bull, which there probably will be).

My answer is simple.

JUST DO IT

Social fear is so over-rated

All you're doing is comprimising yourself.

If you're confident in yourself and know who you are, then nothing should stop you, or get in your way.

But that is very hard... so just do what you're comfortable with =]

Hugs!

Girlchild,

You go over and enjoy the attention, advice, makeover, girling out, girl talk and just being a girl,

with another girl and a genetic girl at that.Hope that she keeps your secret and you get a new

best friend that knows who you truly are.Don't let this opportunity pass you by for unfounded

fears. It's oh-kay to fear, but don't let fear rule your life young lady.

Warm Hugs,

Angie

It's been said already but GO FOR IT. This is an amazing opportunity that so many of us here would die for! April said it perfectly; it doesn't matter what people think. Not everyone would hate you, not everyone would support you, and not everyone would even care. Just go for it and won't worry about anyone finding out. Enjoy yourself and have fun being you.

Have any of you done it? Did ya'll enjoy it?

I think I will do it. You are right. I shouldn't let fear rule my life.

Mason - by all means do it! You deserve a good time with a girlfriend to do girl stuff.

I do the same thing with my hairdresser. She does my hair and we do all kinds of girl chat, even with her other clients in the room and they all join in anyway. It really is a fun time. Don't deny yourself a wonderful time because of what others might or might not discover. Most people aren't thinking about other people much at all, they are too busy worrying about what other people might be thinking about THEM.

When I was little I worried about what my family was thinking about me.

When I was older I worried about what other people were thinking about me.

Now I realize most people aren't thinking about me at all. :) Iri

MASON!!!!

You're missing 90% of the fun!!! Seriously, if all (or even SOME) of your friends already know you're transgendered, why are you worried about anyone finding out about THIS???? Seriously, having a g/f or even several over for a party is a great idea!

When family,my girls, finally accept me as one of their own,I will know.

They have girls night in all the time. There might be up to eight ladies all in pj's,

doing nails and hair, watching chick fliks, gossiping about men, just having a good

female bonding session. And I will be invited. That is something to really look forward to.

It will probably take a few more years, but girl will I love it. ;)

At the other end and in our favor is Julia Serano's analysis of the Cass Report Fiasco   https://juliaserano.medium.com/the-cass-review-wpath-files-and-the-perpetual-debate-over-gender-affirming-care-8f56d0c4d0c6   Serano is a Trans Woman and a molecular biologist herself, guess whose evaluation I honor.

That's great @MaeBe hopefully the company will offer your wife a moving package with the new job position. That's how I was transferred from the St. Louis Metro area to the Indianapolis Metro area. The company covered all the moving expenses, as well as a three week stay in an extended living hotel while we chose an area to build our current home.   Good Luck and make it a happy adventure.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

@Birdie is the day care in charge of your MyChart, Hospital, and Doctors as to how you are cared for? There has to be some way to prove that you were born intersex and have a choice on your chosen pronouns. I wish we could do more for you. Keep pushing forward.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

That's nice. I have bought all my stuff through Best Buy because I love the customer service.

The Republicans are not interested in compromising.  Johnson will be gone for compromising unless the Dems help him out.

Biden campaigned as the master negotiator, able to push legislation through Congress.   Whatever bill a Dem president, a Dem Senate, and a Rep House can agree on might be  more palatable than a bill with a R president, R Senate and R House given present attitudes. They are throwing away a chance.
    • Ivy
A bill like this would never get through congress, even if it were allowed to be voted on.

It was the only appliance that was not replaced when I bought the house.Plus I have the phone number for the scrap metal hauling guy that stops at where I work at.Called him and it will be his once I get the new stove.Told me give me a call once it is out and he will come to pick it up

Ha, that's funny - I swear this is the one I used to use in high school to get around school blockers and play games. 😅🤦‍♀️   Though I'd be wary of using a free VPN today, if your only intent is bypassing censorship, I guess it works. Proton VPN also has a free tier with a limited selection of countries/servers. I feel more comfortable recommending them as they actively try to fight censorship with new evolving VPN protocols, and they protect your privacy. They are also directly funded by their paying customers. So there is really no downside to using their free tier over another free VPN that may not have the same goals/values.

That sounds pretty accurate. I'm just glad I don't use Windows anymore, as I basically consider Windows itself a virus/malware. Backups can absolutely save you from some types of malware like ransomware. However it's ideal to just not get infected by having smart browsing habits. It's been said, and very accurately so, that the best antivirus is you - even the best antivirus isn't 100% accurate in detecting bad stuff, if you go out looking for that stuff or browse carelessly.   I guess if you don't care and/or don't have sensitive data on your PC, then that's fine I suppose. I personally care a lot - personal accounts, private messages, and even my very presence on this site aren't necessarily things I want to be public knowledge. 🤓🫠

Yes he is. Sorry it has taken so long. One sick kid and the other has needed my attention more than usually.
    • MaeBe
Sure is! Is he good with the kiddos?

Once again the Biden admin ignores Congress and issues a regulation that can be quickly changed. It would be much wiser if they worked a bill through Congress that became law.
    • Ashley0616
I think that is the camera on the floor. Of course the kids aren't picking up after themselves oh well. He sure is big for only being 6 months old.
