Need to Come Out at Work

It's been a while since I have posted, so I'll recap. I work in a franchise location of a national restaurant chain as an assistant manager. I was hired in as -deadname- about a year ago as a crew member. After some staffing changes, I volunteered to take a crack at management in order to fill a vacant position, and have been doing so for a few months.  The general manager, the soon-to-be co-manager (and the GM's eventual replacement when he and his wife relocate), and most of my current and previous coworkers know me as -deadname-.  I have gradually come out in private to a few coworkers, who are accepting and abide by my desire to come out at work on my own terms. However, as the inevitability of the changes to the top level of in-store management draw closer, I feel a pressure to come out and start the workplace transition process sooner rather than later. This stems from the general manager being a rather laid back and accepting individual, and his inevitable replacement (who is an alright guy in general) being...not so accepting. If I were still a crew member, I would probably not stress so much. But, this is my most successful career move I've ever made, what with the promotion and all. I feel obligated to do something, but I am afraid and utterly unsure how to proceed. Does anyone have any advice?

Do it!  Yes its stressful, but I've found it to be one of the most relaxing things I've ever done (The aftermath). No more secrets is such a weight lifter! It will also show you how much your appreciated and wanted in your role xx
