I have a small group of people around me. I’ve told 9 people so far. All positive but funny. The first one told me who I was, then asked my name and what clothes I like. All in one breath. I told my best friend next. She said “duh” I knew that. We went for a pedicure a few weeks later. I told her boyfriend (the three of us are roommates) his eyes glazed over then he asked if I still like football. The next was my former spouse. That was emotional. She said “I knew that” and thanked me for giving her closure. (Bad breakup 7 years ago. We’re friends now) my kids were fantastic. Older two said I love you but just give us time. My you Youngest daughter got excited and said she’ll teach me how to do makeup. My smallest (??? 5” 11’) told me he’ll help with clothes. He’s FTM. I told my oldest sister. She cursed and said “Oh great. Another sister”. Very accepting. I do think that they don’t believe that I can dress myself. Now……..my parents. Can someone do that for me? ?

It sounds like you have a heck of a solid group of good friends/family gathered around you..  I would be surprised if you're parents didn't hear about this through the family/friends grapevine..

Principal is likely right--my BFF inadvertently leaked that I was trans to, in order, her son, her real estate broker, his fiancé, and two others.  I hope, though you get to tell your parents instead of them hearing through the grapevine. Congrats on coming out to your family. That takes the most courage of all.

I do have a great family. Unfortunately we are scattered across Canada. I’m not terribly worried about anyone telling my parents. I’d say that I could get really drunk and tell them but I don’t drink anymore. Lol. T

In my family the only person who watched football was my mom, she enjoyed the sport but admitted the tight pants were a bonus ;-).
