Hydro Massage

Good afternoon everyone,

Since Suzie and I are now on Medicare, United Healthcare allowed us to upgrade our current membership at Planet Fitness. We moved up from Basic to Black Card. This opened up the massage tables and tanning booths. Today I used a Hydro Massage Table, and Wow that was worth the price of admission.

@dandy1harperI'm new to any type of massages. I will keep my eye out for this Sharko Shower you speak of.

Thanks, and welcome to TransPulseForums,

This afternoon’s workout was a good one. I’ve been able to keep my weight fairly consistent by working hard in the shop, and watching my food intake. I really do like to work out in the gym too. We have a Planet Fitness less than a mile from our house. We both have memberships, however Suzie isn’t motivated to workout, and thinks if I go by myself, I’m isolating and ignoring family.

My Suzie in not a disciplined eater, and never seamed to care about my being Type ll Diabetic, always needing to watch my carbs and sugar. She has always fixed pastas, bake breads, and cookies. Then get aggravated when I wouldn’t eat any of it. When I would remind her that while I love what she has cooked, I just can’t eat that much of it, and I would have a very small plate or bowl. Then she would look at me and say, Is that all you’re going to eat!? Some times I just eat a few meatballs and some sauce, but completely pass on the breads.

Well, guess who was diagnosed as Type ll Diabetic? Ms Suzie. That’s right her new doctor said she needs to get a firm hold on her diet and exercise. We started ordering three meals a week from Home Chef, to meet low carb and sugars. She has also asked to go to the gym every other day. Oh and we are not having pancakes and waffles for breakfast as often either.

I hope she can adjust to this new lifestyle.
Here’s my workout focus today.

Some info from google)

Charcot- Power
shower got this name from its inventor Jean Charcot, and was originally intended for the treatment of neurological diseases and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, as well as improve the overall vitality, hardening and strengthening the immune system. Later it was noticed that it geives other positive results too: people who are overweight could reduce weight, the skin quality was effectively improved and actually treated from cellulite. Thus it promoted further expansion of the scope of shower procedure.

Thanks to the Charcot shower the blood circulation improves, as well improves the function of internal organs of the body, and generally the overall tone goes up. Power shower is used to strength the body and to boost immunity.

Indications of Charcot shower are for:

  • Treatment and prevention of neurasthenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, neurosis, irritability, depression, and chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Toning the whole body, it has a beneficial effect on the human psyche
  • Prevention of low immunity. (Not in the period of the disease)
  • The auxiliary procedure for rehabilitation after injuries of the musculoskeletal system. (The procedure must be appointed by orthopedist)
  • Treatment of low back pain, arthritis and arthrosis
  • When muscle atrophy due to genetic disease or injury
  • As part of an integrated treatment of obesity

Careful with the torso rotations @Mmindy. If you do those wrong, you can really jack up your spine. For working my abdominals, I prefer crunches, oblique crunches and the Roman chair. Pity you're not closer, my workout groups are a lot of fun.

Hugs!

Thank you for the additional info @dandy1harper I know my Suzie will love to see it.

@Jackie C.I just completed my follow up with OrthoIndy about my back, and the 4 weeks of physical therapy has paid off. Yoga, has become a big part of my daily routine now, and I don't count it as part of my workout. In the process of treating my back injury, they pointed out the amount of arthritis I have in my lower back pelvis, and hip region. So daily stretching is a must to keep thing where they are. I would love to find a fun workout group, right now it's just Suzie and I and she doesn't want a workout buddy. She want to get into her headphones and zone out on the weights. I'm just happy she's back in the gym.

🙏🏻 Namaste, 🙏🏻

Yes, good point. I've been doing Yoga for my back for a long time. I have to but I find it's also good for my posture and balance and for stress.

Good morning Davie,

I'm just now getting into it as a result of a back injury late last year.

Hugs,

Okay, this analogy seems a lot better. What do you think?

Well I had my first appointment with my new counselor this morning. Even though she is just an Intern. She is great. She is a Navy Vet. Stationed of all places, Pearl Harbor. Lucky girl. I think I will like working with her. I have another appointment next Wens again.  Only problem is that she is in Loveland, CO. About 80 miles from me. But she is OK with doing video appointments if the need arises. Today was almost a 2 hour session. Being it was the intake appointment. We touched on a lot of points. Some she noted to discuss later.   So being it was the VA Of course, I dressed feminine. Gray camo skort, and a gray woman's Harley t. Once I got home, and changed to go into work. He asked if I wanted to show off my legs, then something about fat rolls or something. Then He asked if the zoom meeting I attended last night was a trans anonymous meeting. Nope just a meeting of friends. I wonder if he has changed again and not supporting me anymore. Did my wife get to him? Do I only have my middle son supporting me.  I hope I am wrong. It just kind of hurt when he said that.   Hugs, Kymmie

I love the cooler weather. Pumpkin spice, college football, colors even though I’m in the city.

How about this revised analogy?   Would this be more clear to as an introduction to these important terms?

These cases will all end up in the Supreme Court.  We'll see what happens then.

" Boebert said, misgendering the deputy undersecretary for personnel and readiness"   This pretty much explains things.

I refuse to answer the census in any form. Same for the rest of my family, with the exception of Simply writing down how many of us there are. I absolutely do not trust what the government might use those results for. Especially the long form, which I see as a major invasion of privacy. Yes, refusing to answer fully is sort ofbreaking the law. But when the fine is only $100 and it is rarely prosecuted, I think it's worth it.

I moved this post here so it could stand on its own.  Thanks for posting this, Davie.  This is great news for Montana trans youth.  I'm sure it will be appealed, but the logic of the ruling seems very solid and should stand up to scrutiny.   Carolyn Marie

My condolences for your situation, @LoRez, it sounds super tough. I just wanted to emphasise Vidanjali’s point about the party analogy: I am just certain that your wife will respond badly to it. She has already accused you of selfishness for wanting to affirm your gender identity; my impression is that she expects seriousness and self-sacrifice from a husband. I don’t know if you suffer dysphoria, but if so it may be better to emphasise that fact. If she can understand that your gender identity is not a choice, and that you feel pain when you‘re gender identity and gender expression do not align, then she may accept that you are not just being irresponsible. I also think it is important to apologise for having deceived her in the past, but to emphasise that this was not wilful deception, and that you (I imagine) deceived yourself too. I always feel for wives in this situation: they did not sign up for this journey. That is not to say I think your wife is in the right here — I don’t — but I do think she deserves an apology.   Best of luck!
