props on the prepay card, I never even thought of that. Alternatively, It's not too hard to just open a checking account either, and i think some places will let you open one as a minor as long as your parents cosign.

Very into working out, anime, video games, trucks, and women... uh.. yeah.. guess I'm kinda boring

lol nice one :P

about chest size...well i dunno, technically i am below an A-cup, (technically defined as a 1 inch difference b/w the two measurements - 2 inch difference is a B and so forth; both of my #s are the same so I either have too big shoulders or too small boobs - take your pick.) :P So number-wise looks like I qualify for a peri, which is what I'm leaning towards, although psychologically....I seem to be fooled into thinking otherwise - plus the transter before&after pics of peri's don't help me much :(

a bit off-topic,i dunno why i am mentioning this but i am having trouble finding a name! nothing really "sticks." and im not good at creativity and stuff...i was just gonna look online at boy baby names or smth lol but seriously i am feeling kinda stuck

My_Genesis, that's cool, that you're learning guitar. I'm also at a college in Colorado. Well, I was - I'm at my parents' place (also in Colorado) for the summer.

Yeah I'm not there atm. I just like CO and cba with changing my state flag again on here :P

wait, do you measure your shoulders and then your chest? Because what you're supposed to do is measure around where the boobs are and then measure around right where they end on top. Like that armpit area. That tells you your size and there'll probably be a slight difference. And you'll know for sure which surgery you'll need when you go to the surgeon, because they'll tell you.

As for the name... idk. Good luck :P

It's true that a surgeon will tell you, but it's generally a good idea to know which one you prefer before picking out a surgeon. I went to Dr. Fischer for my top surgery because I felt she was the best at peris, but I would have chosen someone else for double-incision because there were other surgeons that I thought were better at that.

It's too bad transster disappeared. Several people are working on a replacement.

I'm Konnor. Transition-wise, I'm currently seeing a therapist, but not a gender one. Just a normal one who's trying to help me figure out "who I am". Pre-T and only out to my family and like 3 mates. My family does not approve at all and I still live under their roof, so things are stressful to say the least. I just got my first binder though and I am so stoked!! A big thanks to Nick at BBUB for hooking me up, what a great guy! :) Umm other than transition, my life is boring. I'm into running, wrestling, football, aviation, street bikes, and paintball. I got out of a serious relationship about 2 mos ago and I'm still reeling from the loss. I'm working on a bachelor's degree in electro-mechanical engineering. Umm that's about it, told you I'm boring. Oh, and I'm a 36B, chest wise. Good thinking on this topic Lewis, it's cool to get to know everyone!

well, I can't possibly read and reply to ALL your posts, but 1st of all, I think it was joe, congrats on burning the ace bandage! xP I see most of you are doing pretty well... some people seem to wanna know about me? o.o Well, I'm doing pretty good. Transition wise, I'm in boy scouts, as you all know I love to talk about. :P I'm going for my 3rd appointment with a gender specialist on Thursday. (WOO HOO!) My mom is very supportive. When we get some extra money, my mom's gonna let me order a new binder from underworks that has compression ONLY in the chest! :D I might wear it under my normal binder ... and to bed instead of by itself, depending on how well it binds. my STP still hasn't come though. :(

As far as health goes, my Ulcer has been really bad, and I got my period on the 20th, and I never had pain in that area before but It felt really bad with the combo of my Ulcer... totally sucks. >_<

I started playing Rune Scape. My hunching over is causing pain in my shoulder though... >.<

anyway, everything's good, I'll update you all when I get done at my appointment Thursday.

Hey Lewis, it was cool of you to ask this question.

I don't really talk about my name, legal or chosen, because I'm relatively stealth. I'm 19. Came out December '08 to my Dad (the very first person), and since then I've had *insane* luck and everything has gone like wildfire. In a year and a half, I went from broke depressed teen Transgender to post-op man with 10 months of puberty under his belt. All I'm doing now is playing the waiting game with legal stuff, and then I'll consider transition over and probably live semi-stealth for the rest of my life. Only a Sophomore in college, so I feel pretty on top of the world right now. Transition-wise, anyway.

Still plenty of things I want to change--drop 40 pounds. Hell, drop 10. That would still be great. Figure out something to do about the thinning hair... Best thing would just be to accept it. Stop being such a sarcastic egotistical illegitimate child who only thinks about himself. Get over my stupid confidence and trust issues and get myself a boyfriend... Well, the boyfriend part is iffy, but get over the issues nonetheless. And finally, buy a car. I'm pushing that one off a ways. haha

Hello! Cool topic. It's been a while since I was last here, my internet connection is never constant during summer. But eh.

Anyway, I am Hayden Jude. I chose my name because it's almost gneder-neutral, with a masculine lean. Just like me. : ) I am pre-T, pre-passing. Just at the beginning of my transition. I should be going to get a haircut soon, which I'm really looking forward to. Getting my long, girl-hair cut off, yay. I am not out to anyone yet, probably won't be for a while.

I am going off to college in the fall. It's not really "going off," though, only about an hour away. Still, I'm excited. I'll be living in the girls' dorm, but eh. I'm over that at this point. I've decided to just be open with my roommate, if I have one. To just let her know everything, and then if she wants a room change, fine. Thereby making her possibly the first person I will ever come out to, oddly enough.

My mother is doing well, which means we all are doing well. She just switched to chemo a few weeks ago, she's about to go for her second three-day treatment next week. Her coworkers set up a fund for her, which I thought was really cool. She works in a pharmacy, and a lot of the regular customers had been asking about her and they decided they wanted to set up a bank account for us and then the customers could make donations. I thought it was nice, because cancer is soooo expensive. So far there is $400 in it. We'll see where it goes from here.

As far as interests go, I am constantly reading. Right now I'm rereading the last Harry Potter book. I just got to the part where Nagini comes out of Bathilda Bagshot, which is horrifying, even if you're expecting it. I also write. I've made a promise to myself that I'll write something every day, and all my journaling doesn't count. It's been good for me so far. I'm also really into music. I'm always making mixes.

Oh, and chest size? 36C. I haven't tried binding yet, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Ok so I thought this was a good place for random questions that arn't impotant enough for a thread.

Do you guys ever like get a cut or something then pick it loads so it scars as every one knows men with scars are sexy etc ? I am not talking about self harm thats never good.

Link to comment

I don't pick it for the scars. I pick it because it gets itchy. And also because I kind of get bored and start looking for things to do (dumb, I know).

I don't pick for the scars either. I'm just really ADD and have to find something to do.

Although, maybe we guys could come up with some really awesome story for the chest scars we may have. Something way cooler than "Well see... I used to be a female."

Just a thought.

Picking at cuts to specifically to make them scar usually gets counted as self-harm.

As for your question, I've never gendered my wounds or my scars.

"I was an electrical outlet for Halloween a few years ago... It got a little out of hand..."

"I was attacked by a giant beaver vampire... Or was it a walrus?"

"I was attacked by sharks. Two of them. One on the left, one on the right. The sharks in that ocean had been having tooth decay problems, so I only got one scratch from each of them from their single remaining tooth."

"I had this thing with a friend where he was going to come up behind me and rip off my shirt dramatically, only the first time we tried it he couldn't tear my shirt, so he got some scissors, and, well, yeah, it didn't work out."

"*after drawing a smiley face underneath bellybutton, (so that the bellybutton is a nose)* What? You don't like his eyeliner? He thought it would make him look like Johnny Depp in Pirates."

I have a weird mind.

i never thought of that wow. but yeah i do it for no real reason. mainly what pol said, and also cuz i tend to be a kind of impulsive/self-destructive person, so i get impatient with zits and scars that are just sitting there and it's almost like im fighting with them. then im like, I WIIIN!! lol i dunno im weird like that.

I think that's what I do. I hate having such imperfections, spots, scabs, etc.

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.
