Odd question

So I'm 2 months post op. Besides the stitches, my surgeon also used surgical glue (basically super glue). My stitches have all basically dissolved, but some of the glue is still there. Some of the glue bits have sharp edges and are causing a fair amount of irritation.

Has anyone else had a surgeon use glue and what did you do to get it off? If I had super glue anywhere else, I would use acetone or acetone based nail polish remover. But I don't think it would be a good idea to use in that area.

It is time for you to see your Post Op Gynecologist for some help.  The surgical grade glue that is used does not create what you are describing, although some people do have what is called Granulation which is a scarring condition that your body creates.  Your Gynecologist will know how to treat that condition since it happens in surgeries on Cis women as well.  Get on the phone and get an appointment with the Gyno is the solution that is healthiest for you.

Acetone will send you to the hospital in a lot of pain and probably worse condition than you are now.  It took me nearly 18 months to finish my healing since some of my stitchery was under the skin level in other tissue and my body took that long to dissolve those stitches
