How do I revise or delete a post?

I inserted a pic, and it came out blurry ☹️

Members cannot self-edit their posts.  If you contact any of the Mods or Admins via PM we can edit a post for you, or delete it if you prefer.  For things like photos, we can delete one for you, but we can't insert a pic.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply.

I had just posted about being teased I throw like a girl and inserted a pic of me throwing a snowball, but for some reason the pic was so blurry you couldn’t really even tell it was me.  No biggie.  Maybe I will post elsewhere a pic of me in that same outfit, so as to verify that is me throwing the snowball ha ha

As a perfectionist who hates making typos, I'm curious why member can't self edit their own posts or delete them, even if only for a short time. I'm sure there's a reason for this but just curious what it is. I really try to proofread my posts but it's easy to miss things. I wouldn't bother a mod about a double space, for example but you better believe that even something that minor bothers me enough, I'd fix it myself if I had the option to. 😝

@Avra, in the distant past, we've had members who made edits that were inappropriate (violated site rules).  If members could edit their own posts it would be very difficult to spot them, leading to problems.  It would also be possible for members to edit someone else's post, again leading to problems.  Hypothetically, if a Mod or Admin edited a post to bring it into compliance with the rules, and members could edit their own, they could change what the Mod or Admin did.  Bottom line is that the current practice allows for greater control, continuity and safety by the Mods and Admins.

All of the staff are happy to help with edits; no one has ever complained, and except for very late at night or very early, there is usually a staff member here.  Drop a PM and we will happily comply.
