Ladies

I'm so excited. my earing holes from clairs should be finally healed. so today I bravely put a pair if real dangly earings on

twirls n giggles

here's my question..I've learned you don't cut grass n drive through low hanging branches lest they get ripped out...so with earings that are not studs..do you sleep in them or replace them with a stud?

any suggestions welcomed.

thank you

hugs

Except when my piercings were newly healing, I have always removed them at night.  When hanging around the house and not showing off, I wear simple silver ball studs.  I only wear danglies when going out, though during covid, when wearing a mask, I tended to wear studs more than danglies.  My rule is earrings of some kind in the daytime and none at night.

I have very small hoops in my ears - sleep in them, shower in them, etc. They only come out when I'm wearing others. I wear headphones when I cut grass for hearing protection so they are covered and safe from branches.

hmmm..headphones..works for grass

how small April Marie? like 1/2inch? just ponderring..maybe I'll put studs or something small in at night n change to dangles for church, work n daytime

thank you

That sounds about right. They hang just below my ear lobes. I have studs, too, but just haven't really used them.

thank you.

giggling..learned the grass cutting lesson hard way..lucky my earing was just ripped out but no damage to ear..other than needed ré punched

so consensus seems to be small or no earings at night..just changed back to studs to keep my holes open

giggles..proud of myself for this simple basic Milestone

thank you girls

I was astounded what a difference it makes to have even simple studs in my ears when I look in the mirror.  I know that some guys wear earrings, but the look just says "feminine" when I see myself.

It's the same with me, Kathy. I just feel feminine wearing earrings - no matter what type or size. They were a major step in tamping down my dysphoria and remaining connected with myself even when I have to present as male.

I  was so glad to get my eared punched after constantly loosing clamp ons.  I discovered that my piercings always seemed to get

infected when i used any metal other than gold.  That tendency also seemed to lead to them closing up even after a night.  I started  to wear big gold hoops day and night and did so for years.  Eventually after ruining another i've settled for some lovely studs with a screw type back and big artificially made diamonds.  Sparkle, Sparkle....  They will be coming out for the first time =in years before some surgery next week.  Won't be out long however.

Hugs,

Charlize

My left ear was pierced in the 1970s, and I had the right one done a few years ago. Normally I wear small ornate gold hoops 24/7, although sometimes I switch to studs. Although I still present as male in public, I've never had a negative reaction to my jewelry, and often get compliments. I don't own any dangly earrings, but if I ever have occasion to wear a slinky black cocktail dress, I'm sure I'll get some.

This is me as well.   I wore a small hoop in the left ear for years, and never took it out.  When I needed surgery (not trans related - I still thought I was a guy, if messed up)  I had to take it out.  It had been in so long we had to destroy it.  The amateur made hole was kinda messed up, and when I tried to put a new one in it got infected, so I had to let it heal up.

Then, my egg cracked and I just got both pierced.  I wear posts most of the time and sleep in them too, if they're in when I get ready for bed.

I have had one get caught on a few occasions, and pulled out.  But the back always comes off before there's any damage.  I have seen babies pull on my ex's earrings back in the day.  And the cat might take a bat at them if dangly dangly.

I'm not wearing any at the moment.  I took yesterday's danglies out before bed and haven't put any studs in yet today.  When I am wearing studs, I don't really notice they're there.

I have toyed with getting a few more holes, but not done it yet.  Except I do have a stud in my nose LOL.

I had one side that took a little longer to heal and I had problems initially with tight curved posts. Had a little bleeding as well. I just kept using saline solution on it - tried to squirt it into the piercing - and it is fine now. Give it a little more time.

Keep it clean.  Maybe a bit of alcohol as well.  If you can get the post back in, leave it, but keep using the alcohol and turning it frequently.  Don't be in a rush to take it out unless it gets infected.  A little blood is no big thing.

It's not always easy to be beautiful.

I initially got my ears pierced at a hairdresser.  They used a "gun"-type piercing tool.  A couple of months later, after the piercing studs were out, one hole closed up.  I went to a proper piercing place to get them fixed.  The premises and the operator were scary-goth looking, but he was scrupulously clean (even to changing gloves between ears) and I have had no problems since.  One hole is a little more fiddly than the other, and it depends on the post size, but it has been eight years and they are fine now.

Had my ears done with the gun.  It went okay for me, but I have heard bad things.  When I had my nose done it was at a tattoo/piercing place and they were much more professional about it all.

From what Kathy said, it sounds like someone like that could maybe fix your ear.

Heh, heh.

My first was at an outdoor concert, by a girl I didn't know (and never saw again) with a needle.  Didn't have any problems for 40yrs till I had to remove it for a surgery and it ended up getting infected when I waited too long to replace it.

I had to share these with you @missyjo! I am loving the threader style earrings where you slip a thin chain through your piercing hole. It feels sublime and then you end up with dangles on both sides of your ears.

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.
    • Ivy
OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.
