I'm watching Mulan for the first time, DVR'ed it. For some reason I didn't see it when it first came out - was not as aware of my genderqueerness back then.

"When will my reflection show who I am inside?" Awesome line from the song. Wonder if the writer is TG. Anyone know?

Normally I'm not as into the modern animations from Disney, but I just saw "Despicable Me" finally, and I really enjoyed it. The main character, Gru, had a very nonchalant approach to villainy that just tickled me, and the minions were adorable ^_^

Totally worth watching.

I saw tangled but I don't see as much heart with the cgi. Though I'd have to say I love The Jungle Book the songs in that are fantastic. Though as a whole I like Pixar better, The pixar lamp is so cool. Robin Hood is another favourite of mine though I can't handle the new Robin Hood with my least favourite actor ever.

I love a lot of their movies. I was a total Belle fan when I was growing up- I think it was the fact that she loved someone that everyone couldn't understand why she did, because all they saw was a monster. I love The Princess and The Frog, my brother ordered it one night when we were at a hotel and I probably enjoyed it more than he did. Tangled and Despicable Me are really good too.

Who's seen Tangled?

Tangled took the lead for me when it came out. It was like a fresh glass of water after wandering in the desert. Now it's floatin among my top 5. Before that the last Disney movie I liked was Hercules. (I consider Pixar it's own thing since they did try to break away not too long ago)

Rotating order based on my emotions:

.)Tangled

.) Hercules

.) Little Mermaid

.) A Goofy Movie

.) Lion King

There's a lot ofgood ones I like, prolly can't remember every single one.

Wall-E, Brave, Tangled, Princess and the Frog, Robin Hood, Alice in Wonderland (especially the Tim Burton one), Mulan, Atlantis, Up. . .and I'm sure there's more.

I really don't like the first princess movies, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty. . . I don't dig how these girls fall in love with some guy they've never met before upon their first meeting, and typically the second time they meet they're getting married (and they absolutely have to get married, that's the only possible way to live happily ever after). Not to mention Snow White's prince charming has necrophiliac inclinations, as no one but the Queen had any way of knowing she wasn't really dead. The emphasis on beauty is absolutely horrifying to me as well.

I like Ariel and Belle, but I do have a few not so good feelings about those movies. Not as much so as the aforementioned ones though.

Hmm.

- Mulan's an obvious one, of course.

- Aladdin, certainly. I have a plush Rajah tiger; got hir for my first birthday, still sleep with hir nightly. I kind of projected my own gender issues onto hir - Rajah felt sentient (so not an it), but not really gendered to me, so that was fun to work out... Anyway...

- Beauty and the Beast - the only one of the 'princess' movies I like (Mulan doesn't count as 'princess')

- Lion King

I don't think Despicable Me (Universal) counts as Disney, so for my representative of the 2000's I will put

- Enchanted (It's not a princess movie, it's a... deconstruction of... a princess movie... shuddup...)

Well, I love Disney. I remember always watching films like 'Cinderella' and 'The Little Mermaid' as a boy and wishing I could become just like a princess. Then when I became a teenager I became ashamed over that, and tried to replace it with hyper-masculinity. But since re-discovering my true feminine self, I'm glad I watched Disney when I did, and can finally re-watch them with the love I had as a kid ^_^

Now that I've seen all the 50-some films from Walt Disney Animation Studios (which is not the same as the Pixar or DisneyToons (who makes the direct to video fare) studios) recently, except for 'Frozen' (getting to it), I feel I have expertise to what ones are my favorite. I guess I would rank them as 1) Aladdin, 2) The Little Mermaid 3) Beauty and the Beast 4) The Lion King 5) Sleeping Beauty 6) Fantasia 7) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 8) Pinocchio 9) Hercules and 10) Bambi. The worst is 'Chicken Little', boy oh boy...

I myself am a bit of a Disney fangirl! Whilst I'm not a total fanatic (there are some I haven't seen and some I don't like!), I watched so many of them in my childhood :) But one of my friends at Uni puts me to shame with his knowledge of all things Disney :(

Including Pixar films, my favourites include: Hercules (have the video game on PS1 as well!), the Fox and the Hound, Aladdin, Snow White, the Rescuers Down Under, Peter Pan, A Bug's Life (have the video game of this too, and it creeps me out!), 101 Dalmations (how can you not like this!?), Toy Story (the third one was well worth the long wait, and such a fitting ending! Have the video game of Toy Story 2), the Sword in the Stone, Pinocchio (though the Pleasure Island bit makes me uncomfortable... I remember my first time seeing this bit, and I was shocked out) and Pocahontas (not sure how it's spelt...)

However, my absolute favourite is the Lion King... words cannot it justice. Simply beautiful :)

Films I didn't like include: Monster's Inc, Chicken Run, Brave (and I'm from Scotland!) and The Incredibles

This is nearly criminal, but I don't remember ever watching the Little Mermaid :( Considering that I love Mermaids and Mermaid stories (you don't want to know how many times I've watched H2O: Just Add Water!), I have to recify this soon...

Lots of Love, Lily xxx

 Watch The Little Mermaid RIGHT NOW Lily. (Sorry, that's just my childhood being stern. I recommend it, to say the least. :P).

I really only had one Disney movie that I really loved and that was Emperor's New Groove.

Howeva,

I now have another that is either tied for 1st place or a very close 2nd place and that is Wreck-It Ralph. I've watched it twice now and I still love it! Plus it really tickles the gamer in me. :)

Well said.    Although this so-called Project 2025 will not affect me directly in an immediate sense, it sends a signal to equivalent minded people and political parties around the world that it is okay to exclude minorities and indeed, to persecute them.   In my humble opinion, the far-right politicians know damn well that there is a very large cohort of less-than-intelligent people out there who are not capable of critical thinking and believe every skerrick of dog-whistling, fearmongering, "they're-out-there-to-get-you" rhetoric. Pander to their rural and village attitudes and you're on a winner!    Correcting them with logic and science won't work; they just double down and get louder with their petulance on full display.

Just waking up so I'm in my pajamas - blue/white madras shorts, a navy blue t-shirt and my sleep bra with sleep-rated breast forms.   Thank you @Susan R for telling us about your mastectomy bra and forms fitting experience before your BA surgery and how sleeping in the bra/forms helped with the dysphoria.    First, hearing about your courage to get fitted gave me the confidence and courage to go out in public.   And, second, finding sleep mastectomy bras and sleep-rated breast forms (I found a set on eBay for a good price) has been a tremendous boost to my feeling comfortable in my pajamas and nightgowns and tamping down my dysphoria and dysmorphia.

Germany has more castles than there are McDonald's in the United States. Yep, you heard that right. Germany is estimated to have 25,000 castles, and there are around 13,000 McDonald's locations in America.   In Washington state, there's a real-life law stating it's illegal to kill bigfoot and other sasquatch-like creatures.

DREAD f you’re anticipating something positive, you’re probably motivated to summon all your patience to wait for it—and sometimes for extended time periods. It may be counter-intuitive, yet in certain instances such waiting can itself be gratifying. Consider Carly Simon’s song “Anticipation,” the old Heinz ketchup ads, and—especially—recent research pointing in the opposite direction as regards awaiting something highly aversive. In this post I won’t be reviewing ketchup commercials, but I will be exploring some intriguing research on dread-infused anticipation.

So an update from me.   Had my endo appointment last night. Went very well and they are sending 3 months supply of estrogen (estradoil patches) and the anti-androgens whilst my Dr gets a shared care agreement sorted out. So happy, should start HRT tomorrow!! Cost for the 3 month supply is £70 total for me, so not too bad. Not told my parents about this yet, but them being in spain, not sure they need to know yet.   Can't wait to start, just got to think about where to put the patches now and wait for the changes...

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.
