What Makes A Car Look Like Its Owner Is Male Or Female?lol

YES

My purse seems to give me away sometimes! Especially at the self serve stastions- getting my credit card out!

Also - whst some of the 18 wheelers see? I don't see them in time some days on th interstate as they creep by in those high cabs!

An interestingly at drive-thrus - sitting in the car - I usually get 'ma'amed' regardless of how I am presenting. Long hair I guess (it might be the lipstick)

I'd actually love to have a minicooper. Bright yellow with white race stripes down the front and a black roof. Or maybe cobalt blue...

They're just so cute!

Oh, and of course a breast cancer awareness bumper sticker.

maybe some pink fuzzy seat covers...

Sally, Honey....could you check under there? I think that I lost an apple there somewhere when I rode in the back....

I found it!

Would you like me to mail it to you?

And is this your gun or Lizzy's?

I think that a bright Yellow Mini Cooper convertible would just scream 'Woman' from miles away.

Love ya,

Yes, putting more than one post in a day which is a little unusual for me, lol. How can most people tell if a cars owner is a male or female or any other combination of the two without seeing the owner and just looking at the car. I drive a 2002 ford windstar and wondering what I could do to show more feminine touch to the van and do not care too much what people thinki since most called it a soccer mom van which never sounds bad to me,lol. Any suggestions would be nice and thanks in advance and I know everyone is different in how they take care or personalize their car.

buy a jeep! that has kept me happy, the liberty is often looked at as a girl car too

Ah, yes, one of my favorite past times: "Guess The Gender Of The Owner Of That Care There." I play this game just about every day, so I'm a veteran. Here's what I've noticed:

Women

-Tend to drive American-made cars, especially Chevrolet and Mazda (Chevy Cobalt and Mazda 3 are the two most common)

-If it isn't American-made, it's mostly a Toyota

-My fact: Every Toyota Celica on the road is driven by a female.

-Car colors are usually white, yellow, blue (especially lighter shades), red, pink, orange, and basically any bright color

-Older women tend to drive SUVs, especially Honda CR-Vs and Toyota RAV 4's

-My personal statistic is that 75% of all Jeep owners are women

-Have a Roxie sticker on the rear window, usually taking up the middle (and coincidentally obstructing view)

Men

-I'd venture to say conservative men drive American-made while liberal men drive Japanese.

-Common cars driven by young men include the Acura RSX (I have yet to see a woman drive this car), 1990-1999 Honda Civic (2000 and later are driven by men and women equally), and the Subaru Impreza (again, haven't seen a female driver)

-Usually bland colors (unless it's a ricer) like black, dark blue, dark green, etc.

I'm all for adding a feminine touch to my car. Me and my fiancee share a 4 door coupe, so there's all kinds of girly things in the car, but be careful about hanging things from your rear-view mirror. It's not illegal per se, but it's technically "obstruction of windshield" and it can get you noticed if say you're speeding. I just took the defensive driving course here in Indiana a few months back, it's one of the things our instructor said to avoid doing if we wanted to blend in. Just food for thought depending on where you are in your transition, if I go out in femme I do exactly the speed limit, hands at 2 and 10, signal 100 feet away, and stop for yellow lights. Last thing I need is some cop pulling me over and making me get out of the car and strut around for his cop-cam to brag to his buddies.

I drive a 2001 forest green mom rocket with a missing headlight and a big dent down the side from backing into my aunt's truck at my cousin's wedding.

My mom, who drove the van before I did, always had fast food wrappers everywhere, and the awe-strikingly rock-hard coffee-and-garbagebill papier-mache`carpets between the driver and passenger seats, and not to mention... the beads and jingly stuff hanging from the rearview mirror. The first thing I did when that car was handed down to me was take all that crap off the mirror and gut out the fast food wrappers. Unfortunately, it was too late for the carpet. LOL

Needless to say, I think these ladies have it down. Every woman's car I've ridden in or had to drive has been exactly as described by them.

Drove a Cobalt to Memphis to meet Lizzy and Sally!

I owned a Toyota!

My Toyota was a Celica!

The Cobalt was red, the Toyota Celica was white and my Tracker is white!

My Tracker (white) is kinda like a little Jeep!

Thanks for the obversations, Anna!

hmmm feathers and handcuffs maybe... um wait.. that may not be pg13 giggles

dont ask, re the cuffs ok

I won't ask...but I will tell Ryan to put some of those over her rearview mirror XD I found a glow in the dark pair a while ago. But now that you mention dangly ornaments...I've made her a kandi-type beaded keychain...I might do a mirror decoration for her, now. I'll tell her you ladies on Laura's suggested it. :3

As for types of cars? When I see cars with sleek designs and a lot of curves, (like a VW Beetle, or, like approximately 90% of the cars Honda and Toyota make.) I assume the driver is of a feminine persuasion. Can't really go by color, since cars pretty much always come in unisex colors. (And yes, blue is a unisex color once you're more than a year old! :P)

As for the steering wheel cover...of course, do whatever you want, but I personally would steer away from that. (That pun totally wasn't intentional at first, I swear.) Those things are in the same class as Ugg boots, for me. Bwahaha.

Get one of these stickers.

Tennessee Volunteers Sticker

Best unintentional trans friendly bumpersticker.

Janis

OMG Janis! I love that sticker. I am going to order one. :D

If having a messy car makes you female then I for sure have that covered :P . I also have some mardi-gras beads hanging from my mirror from the call center I had been working at. I was on break when they were handing them out but the guy next to me got me a string in purple!! My fav color.

Otherwise my car is a 2000 cavalier but it is in a neutral tan color. Which does help with the dirt from gravel roads since it has not been washed in forever. I have a "Hate is not a family value" sticker one one side of the bumper with 2 little rainbow stickers on each side of the license plate. The T girl sticker would be great on the other side of the bumper. The rainbow squiggles they did not have at the store I bought them at :(

Love and *hugs*

A bug is what you need.. brush painted purple with big yellow flowers on it.. or you could go for the Daktari zebra stripes look.. My mk2 escort had that paint scheme.. mostly to cover up the rust... and because police always stopped me to find out what the original colour was as no two panels matched before I painted it... Did confuse witnesses tho.. "what colour was the car?" .. errrrrrrrrmmmmmmm

Of course.. there are the accessories.. big fluffy dice (nice and retro) and what really gives the game away is the false nails and eyelashes on the dash.. plus the nail varnish (sparkle pink remember) lurking in view.

I mentioned it earlier, but it goes with the theme. I saw an SUV with a license plate, "T-BABE". The windows were too tinted to see through, but I was instantly in love with her, whoever she was!

Apparently I drive a girly car... Not because there is anything on it or whatever but it's a little Toyota Yaris. I get laughed at all the time. "Why don't you have a truck or a muscle car?" Whatever. I like my little Yaris. It gets awesome gas mileage and I think it's cute. (that's right a guy who thinks his own car is cute)

Anyway the point is car choice can make all the difference in how it's perceived. Yaris, Corolla, Focus, etc. Pretty much any "compact" car.

just throw trash all over the floor boards... Ive never been in a girls car that wasn't super messy. Guys keep their cars clean and their living spaces get dirty... girls its the exact opposite. So yea trash, makeup, bags of stuff, silly dangly things to hang from your mirror...so on. The key is to be as messy as possible :P

j/k btw... this is a gross generalization lol

My car is only messy on the outside except for a few gas receipts and cough drop wrappers. I have a white Toyota Venza - made for a very fast soccer mom. If I hadn't got the Venza I was looking at a hot-pink Miata. :)

Well if I saw a pink honda accord I would assume the owner was female. And if I saw a black bmw I would assume the owner was male.

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!

Three reprimands in a certain time frame? It seems like they should drop off the calendar after a period of time. How long can they hold a reprimand on the calendar?   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good for the other participant. What's involved in a reprimand? At our age, what are they going to do? Withhold snacks...   @BirdieI'm sorry you have to put up with such discrimination's. I'm proud that you're standing up for yourself.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Associating LGBTQIA+ with pedophilia or "grooming" is a conspiracy theory as old as the study of psychiatry (mid-19th century) when early "scientists" theorized that homosexuality was caused by childhood trauma of having been molested by older men. Some of us have moved on and become educated since those days, but conspiracy theories have an uncanny staying power...the "power" of ignorance, including the titillation of scandal. There is some psychology about people being attracted to outrage and fear. Life is naturally dynamic and uncertain. Unless you have developed a transcendent mastermind, most people have some level of discomfort with that. Therefore, it is weirdly comforting to target a particular thing as a threat and to make a big fuss about it, whether or not it has any credence. And it is comforting to be one among a mass who are equally outraged about a thing, whether or not the thing is real. It is also boosts the ego to speak with vehement "authority" about a thing that is a known trigger for the masses. Like Vicky said, Dunning-Kruger Effect.   However prominent a movement there is or not of pedophiles claiming that their perversion is a sexuality (I have heard of that, but never as it being a major influence), it is the case that much of the viral spread of disinformation associating LBGTQIA+ with pedophilia is due to online trolls. Surely, there are loads of 'em. But here's just one reported story. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/posing-gay-men-twitter-troll-goes-viral-attempts-falsely-tie-n954721
