Lizzy, that is truly wonderful news! Way to go girl. I'm thrilled for you.

As for me, I bought an eyebrow pencil yesterday. :D : Now I have to find the opportunity to try it. :(

It finally happened...

If anyone read my intro a few months ago, or on my member page, I have wanted to go to a bridal store to try on wedding dresses.

WELL...

not exactly a bridal shop, but I was in my favorite thrift store and there on the rack was a brand new wedding dress from Davids Bridal, in size 16W. Perfect!

I grabbed a shopping cart, put the dress in the cart and wheeled it to the dressing rooms.

That was so awesome!!!

The dress fit me like it was tailored for me. It hugged me and felt sooo incredible. :)

Even though I was stuck in a very small dressing room, with only one mirror, I felt like a bride on her wedding day...

Ashlee

I so wanted to take it home with me, but at $125, that just was not going to happen... :(

Ashlee, that is so cool. I can just imagine how happy that made you feel. Hopefully it will still be there when you've got enough dough to buy it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Be well, and be happy.

I just want to give a huge **HUG** to Zabrak for starting this thread. I don't think any topic has gotten to 18 pages of posts in such a short time, if ever. It was a wonderful idea. Thanks, Zabrak! :D :D

It's an absolutely beautiful day in S.E. Ohio.....I'm in a no sleeve top, jean shorts and my high heeled flops...lol

I'm mowing 2 of our 5 acres today and the sun feels amazing on my face and arms and legs...

I'm riding around in ever increasingly smaller circles and the apple trees are all in bloom and the honeysuckle and the smells are amazing....Our asparagus is up and delicious...grape leaves sprouting out...red tail hawk diving in the grass going after mice....

What an incredible day to be alive!

Love....

Today I photographed on of my cousin's weddings and I got a chance to talk to one of my cousins who now lives in SanDiego with her boy friend the tattoo artist - they have lived together for over 8 years so guess what?

She is the 'black sheep' of the family with all of her 'tats'.

I didn't out myself to her because it didn;t seem to be the right timing, but she has moved way up on my list.

She has the most remarkable Boris Karloff, Frankenstein Head tattoo on her right shin!

Not into tattoos myself, but I can understand the need for self expression a lot better now.

Love ya,

Sally

Just talked to an old friend i meet on world of warcraft and we've always been talking about moving to another country

He just come back from germany after living there with a friend he also meet online and plan to get his own apartment later on and i could come live there for a bit if i wanted!, great news.

The dutch people seem alot more open to a bit of gender confusion's than norwegians, got so excited that i dreamt about it, such a wonderfull dream.

A little nervous about it to ofcource, moving to another country and moving in with a guy i've never meet in real life, only known over the internett for 4 years now.

But i think it's going to work out fine, he didnt know anything about my "issues" until very recently (about 6 months ago) and was very understanding about it, he asked if he could come live at my place and help me out

not in a strange way or anything mainly cause i have some very bad social anxiety which dosent help my situation, but my apartment is far to small for 2 anyhow.

Just have to hold on for another year to save up some money and i can realise some of my dream of moving to another country and what better place for me than holland.

Great news!

Yep, our state's indeed a pertee one...especially the further south yu get.

I'm right across the river from Kentucky so I'm surrounded by beautiful hills.

I love the autum season here the best.

I guess another good thing in life is livin' in a very green state?

In fact, I'm certain of this because that is one of the things I missed most when I lived out in Vegas.

The desert has quite the dead look to it.

And that my friend Amie has found a nice place to live away from the desolate look of the desert.

Two happy friends and I know I have more - that has got to be a good thing.

Yesterday I moved into a house I'm renting with four other people. I think I'm going to be very happy here. I have my own quiet space where no one will bother me, and I live right next to all the common points of social gathering this small town has to offer. This house has a history of hosting concerts and welcoming friendly drop-ins when the bars close. My roommates and I share a specific musical taste, and they all seem very accepting of me despite how different I am (although I don't know that it's anything they've been able to identify quite yet). I hope to write great stories and compose great music while I am here.

Good things for me I guess. I'm with my boyfriend, and he just graduated, so now we get to spend plenty of time together. What sucks though is right now because of doing stuff with him, I still have a month to wait for my first appointment to just talk to an endocrinologist, and it feels like any longer and it'll be too late to make a difference.

Other than that last little bit, things seem to be going pretty well right now :)

Hmmm.... I have several good things going on in my life: Won an English award (the only one that really matters to me), classes end in a week, finals end in about a week and a half, I can reach the bottom notes in "One Song Glory" from RENT, I can finally do cartwheels and assisted handstands again, I'm going to summer camp in 22 days, I came out to my longtime friend and exboyfriend and he's cool with it (and totally not surprised), and and and and and I'm almost finished with my novel!

WHOOO! Lots of happy for me. *dances*

Well, I watched Religulous today. Both good and bad, that film. Absolutely hilarious, but it really pees me off. I don't want to get into a rant and offend anybody, so I'll stop now

I'm going to Anthrocon in july with some friends. I'm not a furry (mostly think its just funny... and really strange), but it will be 3 days with my friends (I LOVE spending time with my friends).

But I think the most important thing? My therapist indicated that I might be able to start my hormones in June or July! She didn't say outright, of course, but she said that I wouldn't have to wait until september at least! I just want to start it as soon as possible. I'm starting to get more body hair (or I'm just noticing it because I care now), and I feel like I need to start it as soon as possible to at least retard my bodies male progression.

And Tuesday I have another electrolysis and therapy session. I love those days.

Nice! I've found myself shopping around for astrophotography gear more than once but haven't taken the plunge yet. To close to a metro area to do it from my home.

It never occurred to me to be able to see them here in the south.   Maybe tonight if it's not cloudy.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.

No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )

@KathyLauren That’s absolutely beautiful. Love those colors! That would be so nice to see some time. I’m too far South to ever see these spectacular events.   Very Nice, Susan R🌷

Welcome @AmandaJoy, It’s a pleasure to have you join us here on the forum. It does seem much easier to suppress this understanding of ourselves until one day, it’s not. It all suddenly hits you like a ton of bricks. Those puzzle pieces all suddenly seem to fit and there’s no going back. Like you, I waited until I felt there was no other choice. It was now or never! Never having the opportunity to be myself in this world was not going to be an option.   Words of wisdom there. Many of us try to make up for lost time or try to get results faster than a cis puberty but it just doesn’t work that way as you’ve learned. It’s difficult waiting for the changes but the good news…eventually you’ll experience many of them and the joys that come with those changes are wonderful and exciting. But like most good things, they take time. And sometimes it’s helpful things don’t happen overnight. Especially if you have others that need time to adjust to your physical and emotional changes.   I wish you the best on your continuing journey wherever that may lead you. I think you’ll enjoy this forum as there are great resources, advice, and people here that make it what it is. Hope to see you around.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

I enjoyed my Saturday moka-pot coffee this morning while doing something I love: processing astronomy images.  I didn't stay up late to watch last night's spectacular aurora, but my all-sky camera did, taking pictures every minute.

Good morning.    I did not try to see the sky last night.  We watched tv and went to bed.  Cooler but dry this weekend it was 58 when I got up this morning.  Sorry Kymmie, no chance of white rain here. Although there is always a chance of hail.  Fortunately, the storms stayed west of us and dropped their golf all size hail elsewhere.  I do feel bad for the people that got the hail as that was in a poorer part of the state.   Even the county we live in is quite large and has socioeconomic issues that range from wealth to below poverty.  Very few good middle class jobs and a number of them are closing their doors every year.  Most workers are some way connected to hospitality and travel.  We are beginning to see some internet based jobs as the latest under sea internet cables to South America and other places are coming ashore here.  But they are not connected yet.  We have a rail line but it stops at the innercoastal waterway. The bridge was damage in a hurricane and there just wasn’t enough traffic to justify Corman spending the money to fix it.  So it is permanently in the raised position.     @awkward-yet-sweet I’m glad you got to spend some downtime away from the every day at home.  I can’t imagine how a household that large operates.  And I do think you deserve an upgraded commercial kitchen.  But,  you wouldn’t all be able to live together if you spent money buying new to you things instead of fixing the old with so much talent at home.   Well, I hope to spend time creating the outline of my paper today.  I’m sure I will have to refine it a couple of times before it is completed.   enjoy your weekend    willow
