I guess there are three kinds of people in the world, those who can count, and those who can't.

I've seen this joke about twelve times in twelve different contexts in the last week. I don't mind at all that you wrote it, I'm just starting to get the strangest deja vu whenever I see or hear it.

I'm happy today because I had a good, long discussion about futures and relationships with a cute boy I've been meaning to get to know better. No, not in that way, he's taken, and I've taken a temporary vow of celibacy. Then we played Magic: The Gathering, which made me feel like I was in the seventh grade again.

Also, I keep experimenting with new recipes lately, and they've all turned out fantastically well. Today I made a chicken jambalaya/Mexican rice hybrid.

Jacci, that photograph is incredible. My computer now has a new desktop background.

Letting the sunshine in,

Lydia

I feel good about the way my week is starting out, for a change.

This month I am participating in the National Novel Editing Month (EdMo, for short) challenge. The goal of EdMo is to complete 50 hours of editing activities on a novel manuscript during the month of March. Half-way through the month (basically) and I am right on target hours-wise. Plus I feel I am farther along with the initial textual editing than I expected to be at this point.

At the same time I am taking an on-line course called the Two Year Novel (2YN), hosted by Forward Motion. This course spreads the entire process, from initial idea to starting the submissions process, out over two consecutive calendar years. With it I am completely caught up through this week's assignment, so I can focus more on character development for the sequel to the EdMo novel. (Both novels explore possible external influences on gender identity formation in children.)

Actually, now that I reflect on it, last night I did something else that sets this up as a good week: I dipped into my own DVD collection and watched a musical romance I totally love: Little Shop of Horrors.

I managed to book a wedding today so I can make my house payment.

I'm closing in on a settlement in my divorce and my lawyer thinks that I am now holding the upper hand, they are making consessions and seem to be in a hurry to settle.

I have had a request to shoot a wedding in Kentucky next year>

Tonight was jazz band and taco dinner night!

Today, life was good.

Love ya,

Sally

My therapist told me last night I am capable of passing as a woman now, and said she thought I should be having a hard time being accepted as male anymore. Think on that for a minute! YIKES

Hi all (big hugs!)

Sorry I didn't really catch up on the thread so I don't know anything much other than that Lizzy is going to have a hard time passing if she tries to pretend she's a guy. :D

But I had a backlog I wanted to get out there since I had been so depressing lately...

First, I got the door held for me and I got called "young lady" (giggle)...

Then, I was in a non-smoking section in this building and I had just quit smoking and these guys came in and stood to wait while palming cigarettes. I gave 'em hell, and the whole time I maintained my composure and just kept (loudly!) pointing out to them that they had the entire back half of the building to smoke, and long story short they kept saying "just turn around lady" "lady just let it drop" and the whole time even though I was being very loud I managed to never resonate in my chest and they never even had a clue. (My voice has been a big hurdle for me.) And finally the security guard (whom I knew) came and made them put their cigarettes out. I got thanked by the lady next to me, who I then proceeded to talk to for like another half hour and I don't think she had a clue either! Yay!!!!

Then, today when I logged in I had some really nice PMs from Mia and Naomi and they touched me...

And finally... I think I've found someone that's going to be very good for me and vice versa; I know in my head that it's still really soon but my heart doesn't know anything about that... :D:lol: I feel un-lonely for the first time in a long time.

Much love to everyone!

Michelle

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!
