Morning all. Woke up with a headache, took some medicine and slept some more. I'm feeling a bit better now, but pretty groggy. Medicinal espresso is helping, lol.

Last night at choir rehearsal, I had kind of a mixed euphoria/self-consciousness experience. I'm pretty close with a lot of people in choir, but am only out to one person. We were all chatting a bit after rehearsal, and out of no where, the friend I'm out to interrupts the conversation and blurts out, "you look like a man tonight". His tone...I don't know...was slightly....derogatory? The other people we were chatting with kind of gasped at his outburst. I just took it in stride, and calmly replied, "aw, thanks boo". To be clear, I prefer to present androgynous. I wasn't trying to present male. But if I did, I don't mind. Of all the friends in choir to come out to, why him? He's an emotionally immature alcoholic. Guess it's my own baggage rearing it's ugly head. I do wonder how many others in that group have noticed a change in my appearance (but haven't said anything to me) since returning from pandemic hiatus, though.

@LindaMarie Between our spouses and our own health sometimes the choice is made and we just need to make peace with it.

Did the first step seeing a new therapist yesterday, the intake. Have my first appointment next Friday.

I became a Grandparent for the 5th time last night. My middle son and wife/girlfriend had a little boy. I now have 4 grandsons and a granddaughter.

Supposed to go for breakfast this AM before I go into work at 11. I got up with the alarm at 7:30. The wife barely stirred. Of course she had to take her bath as I was going to bed at midnight. When she had all last evening to do so. Go figure.

Got up at 5am, worked my 12 hours, went to a large urban-ish wig shop across town, got a cropped bob look and straight wine colored shoulder length, both for 100, came home, trimmed them and used thinning shears a few hours to shape them for my face.

Some of the wigs look too..."wiggy" to me and I assume some of the synthetics don't lay the same depending on brand or cut. So that was a learning experience. So I thought buy longer length and then trim/thin to taste since I had no idea what it would look like.

My first wigs and never had long hair. Did not want to take them off, actually! Unfortunately, my face was grown out so didn't get the full transformation.

The synthetics aren't smooth and found they need constant combing through with fingers for them to lay right. But they definitely made me feel gendered and am looking forward to wearing them out until my hair grows.

It was a long day, but since I quit cigs I found my stamina is much better and seem to be less inflamed. I read cigs tend to increase visceral fat too.

We have to remember that our partners have to come out too. They have to explain it to their friends, co-workers and extended family and that can be as difficult as our coming out. My wife works in a very conservative area and it has been hard on her as the word has spread that she now has a wife instead of a husband.

My wife kept me secret from her friends until she retired. Then she came out to them about me.

Happy Halloween!

I rarely dress up. I usually dress a little dark and creepy anyways.

Two years ago today this little goofball joined our family. Our little trans pride dog.

It's funny, my 25 yr old grandson told me that Animal crossing is a favorite game for gay and trans people. I guess I fit into this category.

My wife, youngest, and daughter in law play that. Never really interested me.

Had a customer say he didn't know if I was male or female. I take a call from my other manager, a highly upset customer I heard her ask her boy friend, friend, I don't know. Who he talked to when he was at the store earlier. Was it male or female he said I don't know. Made me feel good. the woman is a PITA.

I have friends that play. I've never tried it. I haven't had two minutes to rub together in a while. I'm usually just wiped out when "free time" pops up.

I like building villages in Fallout though, so I might be up for it.

Hugs!

Good morning everyone,

Today is the first full day of my Suzie's retirement. This also marks my first day of semi-retirement in that two of my very small pensions made direct deposits in our bank account. My business partner and I have committed to keeping the business going through 2022, unless a sale of the company happens sooner.

The coffee was HOT, black, and strong.

Hugs,

I took advantage of a break in our rainstorms in a gorgeous fall NE day, to get out and ride the bike and shop and walk some and go to the hospital for my COVID booster. It's good to keep up with the megademic, I'm sure. (5 million and counting, they say. When will they be calling in megademic?) Still suffering from exhaustion and stress from my long, long year, but I'm taking steps to improve. Going out to lunch today with a buddy. Taking a break from housework and napping. Damn-- it's November already. Thanks for being my community today.

hugs,

Davie

Yeah, I get it.  It would really bother me to do guy-mode now.   The last time I did, it was for a daughter's wedding.  2nd, so I didn't have to give the bride away or anything.  She had asked, so I went for a sorta neutral look, but didn't enjoy it.   I don't know if I'd do that now.

There have been a couple of times in the past when the thought of  going out in guy-mode gave me a panic attack.

Hi everyone

ive tried playing Vedic games.  My wife gave me a Microsoft set, granddaughters play it more than I do and they only visit a couple times per year.  One problem is since I don’t play often I can never which button does what. Car racing, Mariocart, are ok but don’t hold my interest.

Now for the big announcement, I AM GOING FORWARD WITH AN ORCHIDECTOMY.  Actually it was now or start over.  The surgeon is leaving for another practice.  Scheduled for thanksgiving eve.  After that I can stop T blocker all together.  Good thing, it’s messing with my blood pressure, too low.  I already reduced by 1/3 dose. Then we will see where we go with estrogen.  At least I know they can’t ever take it away.

hugs

Did 6 miles with my walking club on Saturday through neighborhoods bedecked with spiders, skeletons, and ghouls. Then helped staff the finish table to stamp books for the later walkers. Showed off the Halloween themed fingernails my daughter painted. Brought a bag of rocks I painted to hold down the brochures and loose papers on the tables and got lots of affirmations. As I sat down to do my shift with another lady, a long term member, she casually asked what name I preferred to go by. I didn’t presume she knew my birth name so I replied with it a question mark at the end. She replied with a knowing comment about it being very important to get someone’s preferred name correct. I’ve only told a couple of folks about myself, not her, but somehow she knew and was sensitive to the issue. Gives me a tremendous feeling of hope for next year, knowing there are allies in all of my favorite haunts.

Feeling good today!

Morning y'all, fingers crossed for everyone who has stuff going on.   Welcome back to reality @April Marie, enjoy your improving weather!   Why is it that we humans always take too long to acclimatize to the changing seasons, especially when it gets colder like it is here? Maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age, lol.

Oooooooooooooooops, I forgot yesterday.   I was thinking of a few bands who had a member invited who said no and went right into obscurity or left before the band got big.   1) Led Zeppelin -  origially wanted Terry Reid to be lead vocalist and he decided the stay solo. 2) Crosby, Stills & Nash - invited John Sebastian to join before Neil Young, Sebastian said no. 3) Signe Anderson quit as lead vocalist with Jefferson Airplane and they replaced her with Grace Slick.

Good morning, everyone! We're back from a short vacation with friends to the mountains of NC. It was a fun time driving the twisty mountain roads.   Now it's back to reality of cutting grass, washing windows and putting in screens and putting out the porch furniture. Coming home to warmer weather than when we left is glorious.   Happy Anniversary @Willow!    I hope your family is feeling better @KymmieL - my wife and I shared a stomach virus several weeks ago that was horrid.   Hang in there @Birdie, it will all work out!!   Have a wonderful day, everyone!

I think many Christians end up with a false dichotomy.  If we didn't choose to be how we are, then something in our environment did it. Is going along with it a sin?  Maybe.  But if so, its one of those times where we mess something up no matter what we do.  Part of the imperfect nature of this fallen world is that there are times where we'll sin no matter what we do.  In a no-win scenario like that, we do the wisest thing possible with our free will.

This is the crux of my anguish these many, many months (years!) and where I go back-and-forth with my own journey ... I was born a biological male. No denying that in my case. But I have a lot of internal feminine leanings and external ones, too. I prefer to wear women's clothes 100 percent of the time (if I could). I wish I had the female plumbing. I long for that badly sometimes. I don't know why or where that came from but no denying that either. I have started HRT because I like the idea of having a more feminine physical body and some of the "perks" that go with that. I just asked my doc to up my dose to the next level today!   So the big question I ask myself is: am I knowingly disobeying God, who likes order and made humans male and female, by taking these steps? This is my wife's take on things. "You are sinning. You know God made you a male biologically. Yet you are willfully pursuing transition to being something God didn't intend you to be regardless of what you feel inside, what your preferences are, etc."  I keep trying to tell her it's much more complex than that but sometimes I don't even know what I think...   This ties up in knots and makes me angry and makes me feel stuck!!! I don't want to disobey my Creator and Savior and yet I have this strong, strong leaning toward the feminine in many ways (that keeps getting stronger and refuses to go away no matter how much I have tried to stuff it away!!) ... It feels like misery no matter which path I take - if I "give in" to the feminine, which I have been doing a lot the past 12 months or so, am I endangering my soul? Am I creating scandal? Yet the thought of putting the feminine aside feels, at times, like death too (or is it just me being self-centered and unwilling to bend the knee to my Creator who would ask me to give this up as a testament to my love for him...   I don't know. I don't know. I don't know!! But sometimes I really really F***ing hate this quandary...

We use a ton of Harbor Freight stuff here.  They have pretty good warranty, too, I guess.  GF beats all heck out of sockets and things, and if she takes them back they get replaced for free.  Harbor Freight was junk 20 years ago, but its really good now.  Craftsman used to be good 20 years ago, but now its junk (but they still want to charge made-in-the-usa prices).  Dewalt is now Chinese also, when it used to be made in Germany.  Older Dewalt tools are good, but GF got a really bad hand injury a few years ago from a Chinese Dewalt drill bit that shattered.  Some of the name brands just aren't what they used to be.

Honestly, all the numbers are monkey math.  Doesn't matter who's in charge.  Trump kept crowing about the damn stock market, which didn't make a difference to normal people.  All the "job creation" is an illusion.  They consider it job creation when they take good full time jobs, and split them in half to "make" two part-time or temp jobs.  Not totally a Biden problem, as this has been going on for decades now.  Things *began* to get better under Trump.  A bit.  Maybe 8 years would have been better, but it wouldn't have fixed it.  Too much damage.    To me, Trump is a case of "too little, too late."  In my opinion, we need more - a true nationalist, with an aggressive and isolationist foreign policy.  And we needed him 50 years ago.  I want to see:   High import tariffs, a currency backed by precious metals, no more "climate" stuff and repudiation of all "accords" or other agreements, elimination of excess government agencies like the FBI and EPA, and total seizure of foreign-owned assets on US soil - with sale and disbursement of profits to our citizens.  And that would be a basic start.  Instead of "sanctions" to interrupt the trade of nations we don't like, Congress should instead issue letters-of-marque as described in the Constitution.  I'd like to see an alliance with Russia, and an end to nearly a century of useless conflict.    Trump won't do any of those things.  He's a sad, pale imitation of the leaders that founded our nation.
