Fun fact: There are free English to Klingon translators on the interwebs!

Anyway, I think what Bri is getting at is, "Why are you staying with let alone buying a house with this woman when she's clearly abusing you?"

Or: qatlh QIch yIra' 'e' vIHar, qatlh QIchvam DajatlhtaHvIS?

Well said, large pink Klingon elephant. Maltz, indeed.

@NashySlashy I'm sorry your belly isn't feeling too good today. I hope it passes soon.

Thank you! It's feeling alright at the moment, but you never know if that will stay lol.

As for today, I once again had to play peacekeeper for my spouse and our housemate. He made a comment that hurt our housemate's feelings and she was feeling very insecure from it. I had to talk her down from her spiral of self-loathing...again. For those of you that remember my thread about my roommate...this is her. It's so tiring having to play peacekeeper all the time. I know the easiest solution to this issue is "just don't play peacekeeper"...but that's easier said than done.

I used to have to do this constantly between my ex, and one of our daughters.  It gets old quickly.

Good morning everyone

well, yesterday was a long day.  We had to be up before 5am to be in Charleston by 8am. That’s about 2 hours from here.  I had an ophthalmologist appointment, first time I’d seen one in many years.  I was concerned about cataracts. I got a clean exam.  Minimal grade cataracts, no surgery at this time.  And a new prescription for glasses.

then we went to the Apple Store with issues with our IPhones. They couldn’t see us until the afternoon.  Next we had lunch. And my wife also had an ophthalmologist appointment.  We weren’t able to make our Apple Genius appointment so I will schedule one for 5he next time we are in Charleston.  we both have cellular internet issues and she has an Apple  ID problem.

finally made some progress on the kitchen.  The old cabinets were removed.  The dry wall removed, the area was heavily sprayed for residual mold.  Insulation replaced, drywall replaced, new cabinets installed.  Now we are awaiting the granite countertops to complete the job.  Finally some light at the  end of the tunnel.

I understand about being the peacekeeper.  I tried for years to do that between my wife and daughter.

Update:

Things are going pretty well this morning. I submitted my Patreon page for my writing (hopefully it gets accepted) and I signed up for a sculpting course at the art school that's about five minutes from my house. I also got the okay to call off work tomorrow so I could pay some bills.

Productive day, despite having to play peacekeeper. :)

Good afternoon everyone,

Suzie and I took our two youngest grandsons to Peru, IN Circus week, last week.

We had a real blast watching them look in wonder as the performers put on the greatest show on earth.

Then we let them ride every ride on the fairground midway. Oh, we also filled them up with snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, and whole strength Coke. Adrenaline and Sugar Highs for everyone. They were real troopers at the campground as well, graduating from their tiny spider man and iron man fishing poles, to the traditional "Zebco 202" starter fishing rods and reels. Then there was time at the swimming area, which was nothing like the ocean beach they're use to. This was a mud bank with a rope swing.

I'm glad to see that most of you are doing well, and coping with the real life tests we face.

Hugs,

Had a disputed purchase through my Paypal account for a $500 iPhone, it was red flagged and got an invoice saying to notify within 24hrs to cancel transaction. Which I did, but I would have let the mail sit unread since it's not from Paypal, but some rando's gmail. Which I think is weird. Unless it's subcontracted?

Anyway, the fact that the transaction was flagged due to location anyway reassured me. Apparently the buyer bought in bitcoin and the helpdesk person was asking me if I ever used BC.

Been hanging out at home with the cat on my two days off which I haven't done in a long time and couch surfing. My name changes are almost all done except a few utilities and I said a few months ago when I got it approved I'd start researching education or career options but RN I just don't have the motivation. I think the upping Spiro knocked down my T just a bit more cause it feels like the first couple weeks on HRT until my body adapted I guess.

Also the BFF I am trying not to love too much is out of town on business this week and Im trying to be mature but feeling pretty emo and codependant.

Hope everyone stays healthy and positive

I've been tapped to teach a fitness class at the gym! In typical, well, ME fashion I went completely overboard and purchased a MASSIVE speaker that connects to my phone via Bluetooth. Completely shook the rafters, it was glorious. I also discovered that the other trainer just plays random music off his phone during class. I mean, what the actual duck? I sometimes worry that I'm the only professional in the whole darn company. Who blasts uncensored Chris Rock (and others) in a gym full of random people?

On the plus side, my first class went swimmingly and was a ton of fun to teach.

Talking to my endo next week. My E levels remain stable so nothing new to report there. She's probably going to stay the course and I'm fine with that.

I also tried a new recipe with my protien powder: I added a cup of yogurt! Now it tastes like strawberry-flavored chalk!

Hugs!

I'm sorry I miss the class. I took a right turn at Albuquerque. Sounds like a fun time.

Hey Stveee, this looks like a phishing attempt. I used to work in fraud prevention for a major bank, and we saw this sort of thing all the time. You should, if you haven't already, contact PayPal directly. PayPal doesn't use contractors--no financial institution does as it's against federal law. Additionally, the Bitcoin question looks like an attempt to gain access to your financial information. I hope you didn't provide any information to this person, including things like bank account numbers and routing numbers, credit and/or debit card information and so on. You should also contact your bank and report this.

Hugs.

That's great! Have you ever sculpted before, or is this a new interest? Sounds super fun.

I'm getting assessed for pelvic floor disorder today via manometry test. Fun stuff! (That's sarcasm, in case anyone wasn't sure, lol.) The bright side is that if they determine disorderliness, the treatment is therapy which I'm motivated to do.

Hope everyone is having a good morning so far. ❤️

I was getting frequent email about my PayPal saying it was locked etc.   But it always worked anyway.  I phigured it was some kind of scam.

Congrats on the completions, and an early congrats on the FFS!

This makes me wonder though, and perhaps this is merely a sign I'm still under-caffeinated right now, but why do we call it "Facial Feminization Surgery" when we could be calling it something like "Above The Top Surgery", or "Tippy-Top Surgery"? 🤔

If you do, don't click on any link in such emails, it may look like PayPal.com but may be paypai using a capital (upper case) little i to replace the lowercase L in PayPal.

Instead, manually type in paypal.com in a fresh browser and check your account yourself. It usually is a phishing attempt.

No one that hasn’t gone through the self perceived shame and guilt about the feelings we’ve had cannot understand 1. Why we need a therapist we trust. 2.  Why we suddenly need to talk to them. 3. Why things set us off and throw us into a bout of extreme depression.  4. Why we feel threatened even when we aren’t in immediate danger.  That threat may be only in our mind but it’s our need for reassurance.

Be careful about software bundled with your antivirus! Most likely they are using it to spy on you. As far as I know the only 2 VPN providers that actually protect your data (and delete it as soon as possible if they keep anything at all) are Proton VPN and Mulvad VPN - the latter one actually had their servers stormed by law enforcement and they walked away with nothing (cause Mulvad had no customer data to offer). I would avoid antiviruses altogether tbh, they're not a magic cure for internet safety and the built in one from Microsoft does its job well enough. If you're not on WIndows you don't even need one - just be smart about what you download of course.   Your web browser asking you to turn it off is probably because the browser would prefer to know your real location, just ignore it or pick a better browser, like Firefox.

It was stupid of me, the cop was in front of me in a u-turn cut in a spot I know about. I was running a little late because of the slow truck, and the cop happened to be there today. It is like one of only three places for a speed trap on my commute. I usually don’t speed as I try to leave enough of a time buffer in the morning.

The worst possible scenario is 4 points on my license, which a defensive driving course will negate it. I had considered getting a lawyer, but it is probably not worth the expense.
    • Ivy
Yeah, I was puzzling on that too…

Good luck maam 😊 I’ve experienced that they’ll lower the points , if you show up in court and pay the ticket.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums Mealaini,   Like you I knew in my preteen years that I was meant to be a girl, but didn't have any way to bring it up in the early 1960s. It was the expanding news outlets on the telly that allowed me to understand that I may not be the only person who felt this way. Wow was my mind expanded once the internet became a reasonable research tool in the 1990s.   My grown daughter (42) is nonbinary and atheist with pagan leanings. So when I came out to her she was thrilled and wanted to dress me up and show me the world. Well I think she wanted to show me to the world. My son (45) is evangelical christian and very upset with his sister for many reasons. However he's a reluctant supporter of me as transgender. I'm out to my wife and we've been married for 48 years this June, so I'm in a very late in life transition.   The other thing that has me going down an internet rabbit hole is your location. It clearly states United Kingdom with a sub flag of Illinois. I've searched the web and can't seem to locate Illinois, UK. Am I missing something?    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
    • Timi
Thank you for sharing, @Mealaini, and welcome.    I appreciate your description of IFS and your book recommendation. I have a few close friends who are very enthusiastic about IFS and my therapist is incorporating some of those elements into my therapy.    -Timi

Leg hair.  Shaving it was a surprisingly big decision.  (Not as big as the beard tho)  After I did it a few times, it's never really grown back.  Haven't shaved them in a couple of years and you'd never know it.  A daughter living with me doesn't shave hers, and she is much furrier than I ever was.     I don't exactly hate my living as a guy in the past.  TBH, I was never quite there anyway.  But I just dropped it.  I live full time fem, and it would bother me a lot to go back to being a guy.  But I don't have to appease family or an employer.
    • Mmindy
@Loreleiit always sucks getting a ticket for passing a slower vehicle. I'm guessing the police officer was some distance behind you until you performed your passing maneuver. My most costly ticket was from a similar situation, however we were heading out of town and the last straight stretch of road to pass the two slower vehicles ahead of me was still in a 35mph zone. I didn't see the officer behind me and as soon as I pulled out to pass he turned on his lights and siren. Since I was in the process of passing, I figured the next safe place to pull over was at the upcoming roadside park. He didn't accept that and wrote me up for passing two gaps, speed in excess of 15mph over, and failure to stop. He did not care to hear about any fellowship in public safety, and no professional curiosities would be honored.  I did go to court plead my case and the judge, and he did see my point of continuing to pass with the intentions of pulling over safely at the roadside park. He was very familiar with the location. This allowed him to drop the failure to stop charges, but I did have to pay the full 15mph over speeding ticket. So my lesson learned was to never pass when entering or leaving a small town or village.   Hugs, and good luck in court.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
