Good morning everyone. This morning it's iced coffee. I have a carton of rice milk that I have to use up. I make the coffee strong, but only about an inch of it in the mug. Then I add ice and the rice milk and sugar.

@awkward-yet-sweetI'm glad your ankle is starting to heal. @IvyWhat a shock to find out your insurance was canceled. I'm glad things worked out in the end but it's wrong about the system that the insurance company doesn't take the legal blame for it. @Mirrabookawhat a wonderfully affirming hair experience. I love the joy!

@rachel w I'm so sorry for your loss. I couldn't imagine what you are going through. The only thing I can relate to is that I lost some brothers in arms while deployed. I can also relate to how lonely it is. I don't have any friends down here at the coast. If it might help you can add me on Facebook? My profile is on my page on here under website.

@Ivy I can't believe how bad it got for you yikes! I don't understand why they are charging you a fine when clearly it was their fault for sending it to the wrong address. Hopefully it won't happen again.

@awkward-yet-sweet can you please post a picture of the vehicle. I'm curious on what it is. I guess it's mostly because I have probably driven it. I had gotten a lot of experience on driving all kinds of vehicles while in the military. I'm also glad that your ankle is healing.

I couldn't wake up in time this morning. My son and I were under the weather and he had to miss out on school. I got a bottle of wine called Arbor Mist Exotic Fruits and it's just ok. I prefer Sangria just because on how it tastes so much better. Coffee wasn't really helping that much this morning. I'm still struggling. I might try another cup and hopefully that will work.

Good morning or maybe not based on some of your posts

both congratulations and feeling for you are do.  I’d like to make them all personal but I need to get ready for work, meaning time is of the essence.

another cool but pretty day today.  Unfortunately there won’t be many more of those before it just becomes stinking hot and humid.

I too am a wig girl.  I do get comments on my hair from time to time.  Strictly wigs.  I get pleasant comments from time to time mostly m’aam but some people are strictly sir.  Mostly because of my voice and the fact that they don’t look at me.

meeting friends, I have to say, neighbors are friendly for the most part, co-workers are very friendly in my case and groups. Support groups.  But if you mean dating friends instead of talking friends, you got me since I haven’t looked for that for a very long time, over 51 years and no matter what the future holds I won’t ever be again.

I resisted this for a long time.  I wore various head coverings, and do have fairly long "fringe".   But when I finally tried one, I really liked the results.  Now I have 4 of them, although 3 are kinda cheep ones.

One is long with purple streaks.  I'll be breaking that one out for Pride Month.  Gotta let my "freak flag" fly.

@Ivy I don’t think that would go over too well for me.  Employer would be upset, but even more, my wife would “hit the roof”

Watched my wife get emotional and comfort her.We watched the documentary,The Invisible War last night. She was in the National Guard for 4 years where she was sexually assaulted and raped by her commander.Reported it and nothing was done about it.She has PTSD and anxiety issues from it getting help and has support from me

Sorry to hear about that. I know the feeling although I wasn't raped by my commander but it was by a fellow airman. I didn't want to report it because of the repercussions and I let myself get to intoxicated. I have several other issues which is why I'm retired and can't work. It's hard to live with because there isn't any amount of counselling that will take it away or make it feel better.

Once again, I am well into my day before I can sit and savor my coffee today. Is anyone a fan of horse racing. I'm watching the Friday races at Churchill downs before the Kentucky derby tomorrow. I love watching horse run it is so graceful and I also love the fashion at the races for the derby weekend. I have been having some major envy at the outfits and wonderful hats. Enjoy the start to the weekend all.

I noticed that the art of a character in the back of a book looks like the villain from Rise of the Guardians mixed with Slenderman and now I can't unsee it.

Got to go to the tag office today.

I got a letter from the DMV that said my insurance was canceled and I hadn't turned in my tag as required.  I'm thinking what the heck?

It was late in the day, but I went over to my agent's office to find out what was going on.  I've been with them for years, and always pay the bill when they send it (twice a year).  Turned out that it was cancelled because I hadn't payed the bill.  I said I hadn't gotten the bill.  She checked, and for some reason they had sent it to an old address.

The company won't issue me a new policy, since I hadn't payed them.  In the past they had sent the bill to where I am now -- I don't get that part at all.

She set up a new policy with a different company (which was actually cheeper).

But now I need to go to the tag office, and pay a fine because I didn't turn in the tag when the insurance lapsed.  (because they sent the bill to the wrong place)

It kinda torqued me off.  But at least I won't have to go to jail.  Sheesh.

just about the same thing happend to me today

Good morning, everyone!! Exciting events in the U.K. and the U.S. today - Coronation and the Kentucky Derby. I plan on watching some of the Coronation coverage and enjoying Mint Juleps while watching the Derby. We also opened our pool this week so I'll spend some time putting out the pool furniture and working on getting the water cleared and the pool cleaned up.

Enjoy this beautiful day and be safe!!!

Wow, a lot going on here lately.  I have a beautiful wig, long real hair. VA supplied cost a pretty penny. Wore it once on the way home from the salon. My real hair is nice and long now so I don't need it.

It is terrible how some people take advantage of others sexually. Enough said on that.

Sounds like a pool party at @April Marie's. I'll bring the mountain dew. LOL. I would love to have a pool. But one would take up the whole back yard. Maybe when I'm rich and famous.

My Friday today. My weekend is messed up. Tomorrow going to cars and coffee in Cheyenne. Then out mandatory store meeting. Then Monday I get to go for jury duty over in Cheyenne.  If picked I could be there for the week. I just hope they like T-shirts and jeans. Only dress up clothes I have is a couple nice dresses.

OH, well life goes spinning out of control.

Hugs,

Kymmie

What a lovely day @ShawnaB! Sounds like it was fun and you scored some new dresses!

My wife and I dressed for The Kentucky Derby. We both wore dresses, our matching beige heels and hats, of course. Mint Juleps, salads with tuna followed by a little bourbon over ice made for a perfect evening while sitting at our bar. What a perfect evening!

Good morning, everyone! I've already finished my second cup of coffee, read the paper and have been reading a book as the world comes to life. The rabbits are awake - waiting to see the deer and turkey.

I will spend some time working on our pool - waiting for the shock to kill off the algae before vacuuming it out and getting the heater going. It looks like a nice day to wash my truck, too.

Be safe and enjoy this beautiful day!!

@April Marie sounds like a great day for you. I went ahead and took out a small loan to help me get what I needed for looking more feminine. I also was able to get more than a weeks worth of clothes. I was also able to find more clothes at the thrift store. I have found a really good deal on eight different perfumes for 35 dollars. I ordered some stuff from aliexpress since it was a lot cheaper. The downside is that I have to wait till June 4th to get some stuff. I was able to find a knock off brand of Ugg boots in size 13. I was pretty happy about that and I can't wait till they come in. I was able to find a reasonably priced Coach purse and matching wallet. I can't afford to spend a lot on electrolysis so I went with an IPL (Intense Pulse Light) hair removal. I know it's going to be permanent but I won't be shaving as much. I got it from a company that has been working with trans women for a very long time. I had my cup of coffee for the day and I might go with the second. I hope that everyone else is having a good day.

Good morning all

@ShawnaB it always nice when you get positive feedback from strangers.  Way to go.  I haven’t purchased any new clothes in months.  I’ll soon need some new bras.  I’m starting to spill out of what I have!

@Charlize did I miss this years maple syrup collection?  It will soon be blueberry picking time won’t it!  Do you use a round baler or the rectangular type?  When I was a teen t worked at a summer camp.  My job was stacking and interlocking the bales in the hay barn. After a while as the stack got too tall, the others weren’t tossing the bales high enough and I pulled a muscle trying to catch them on the side of the stack and lift them up.  After that my job was driving the tractor that pulled the rake. Equipment has changed a lot since the 60s.

I’m on my first cup right now. I slept a little later than normal. I wa# a bit annoyed yesterday, after getting complemented on how good the drink cooler was looking on Wednesday, I went in to do some shelf filling and discovered someone had totally messed it up.  Empty cartons strewn on the floor, stack of back stock knocked over.  Loose bottles and cans all over the place.  It took more time cleaning up then I was able to spend stocking.

have a good day, looks like a nice one here.

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3
    • MaeBe
That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Congratulations! and Happy Trans Birthday @LittleSam! That is such a BIG milestone.  I can still remember walking out of my clinic with my first HRT presciption.  I was on Cloud-9.  Wishing you all the best in the start of your new Journey!

maebe thank you I try to be. I thank God for blessings, try to share them, beg forgiveness for my shortcomings n vow to try to do better...2 priests have said no, God doesn't condemn you just for being trans...but apparently evangelicals do   I shall vtry dear thank you
    • MaeBe
Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.
    • RaineOnYourParade
Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable
    • RaineOnYourParade
As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
    • RaineOnYourParade
As far as I'm aware, he wasn't -- he just sometimes wore skirts, which was why it was a question in the first place.   In my opinion, part of that is because of the way press spares attention on issues like that. As a bit of a true crime nut and what I see: Child predator cases' (and cases of a sexual nature in general) press focus on those with an AMAB perpetrator generally, and very rarely are AFAB perpetrators given much press time or even getting tried due to a whole bunch of issues I'm not gonna get into. Because of this, when you see these types of cases and a boy is the victim, it's almost always a queer person who is the one who committed a crime that gets press. Therefore, with the amount of cases seen with this type of perpetrator (and due to the fact "99% of queer people are not sexual criminals" doesn't attract eyes), the human brain can kind of naturally makes an association with it. It's not right, but it's also a fault I think falls partially on the media.   That's all my opinion, though!   This is extra confusing to me, as a feminine man is usually viewed as gay. If someone is refusing the acknowledge the existence of trans people, then gay would be the societal connection that comes after, I think. So, that sorta implies that trans women wouldn't be interested in women in the first place by those assumptions? Of course, trans lesbians exist (most trans women I know like women, actually), but it's a little ridiculous to me that people will deny trans people's existence, call all feminine AMAB people gay, and say that trans people are looking to peep all in the same breath.   Wow, this was a lot longer of a response than I was planning to write--

For one thing, the practice of putting into office wholly unqualified people simply because of racial, sexual or national characteristics.  It is no accident that Karine is a Haitian immigrant, Black and lesbian.  Kamala Harris is a Black female. Pete Buttigieg is gay.  Often you find that Biden explicitly stated that this is why he hired them, not because of competence, but because they checked so many boxes on his little list.  It makes a mockery of people and is a disservice to the US.
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am not sure why people are in favor of unaccountable agencies with bloated budgets and wasteful spending.
