Baby steps dear, baby steps. lol

You look great Liz

Thanks Bri, I’m trying. I am noticing a pattern with my outfit colors and my moods.

Looking good Liz.

Today I'm wearing a nice flowing dress and all the accessories. Still chilly out so I went with the sweater also.

I pulled a trick on my nails, first the red polish, let them set for and hour and then coated them with clear polish.

The polish I use is fast setting, but for this trick I waited an hour before the clear coat.

Love,

LM♥️

I’m really liking all the floral patters and those nails. I can even see them on my tiny phone screen.

Hi Liz and thanks for the compliment. The dress is unlined so I wear a full slip under it. You know, panty hose and shaping panty's don't hide everything when out in the sun.

Hugs and love,

LM♥️

Hi B, thanks. I learned that though I wear a mans size 8.5, going to women's shoes, 9.5 fit perfectly, (most of the time).

Trial and error so to speak.

Love,

LM♥️

or get my chain saw and just cut my feet off!!

Still I Iove them.

3 inches high  is about all I can take for 4 or 5 hours.

I love the look of 4 inch heels but I can't wear them.

Hi lovely people ?

Today Ann is wearing Oxford women's riding pants, lady's Forma Italian leather motorcycle boots, a turtle neck from J.C. Penny, and a lovely metallic violet accessory by Fender guitars.

Well...they stimulated my economy. ?‍♀️

Looking great as always Ann.  I love the necklace...it kind of reminds me of a guitar.

Went out for a walk expecting it to rain, so put on my pretty Joules raincoat. It has every other time I've been out in the last week, but not today!

Today I'm wearing another dress and pumps. I don't have anything planned for today just hanging out at home.

I'm still laughing at Sally's comment on the guitar necklace, that one took me by surprise.

Well, victory in that I wore a bathing suit in public this weekend

Failure in that even a "skort" bottom didn't hide my anatomy once wet and out of the pool.  I have no idea how to overcome this challenge.  Tucking doesn't work once you get in the water. Obviously tight suits will show things even more.  I REALLY don't want to have to do board shorts and I don't think even those will fully hide things when I lay down to sun after the swim.

What a brave person you are. I've given some thought to the possibility of wearing a womens bathing costume at some point when I am being Niamh, and I had thought about one of them that has a skirt to cover my genitals area. It does worry me what you are saying and it's something I hadn't considered. Do you think there are different versions of these swim suits that may be better than the one you got?

Having said all that, until my waste has a smaller measurement than my hips I don't think I could be brave enough to try!

Oops - *waste should have been spelled as "waist". I truly hope that the dimensions of my "waste" never exceed that of my hips! ?

I bought a one piece today at the thrift shop. I'm going to try wearing that with my skort as a second layer down below. I'm hoping the one piece can hold things in tighter while the skort gives me "cover".  I have to figure something out- I use to swim a lot and I'm a beach/scuba nut. I'm not giving those up.

I love snorkelling, and my wife and I have been to the Caribbean a few times when we have done this (but only when I have been in male mode). I don't think my wife is sufficiently supportive for me to go back out to those islands with me as Niamh and some of those places still have strict anti LGBTQ+ laws so I don't think that I will go there again. My wife and I have a few things to work through yet before I have that level of freedom if we are to stay together.

Puerto Rico, USVIs and Aruba/Curacao/Bonaire all safe places for us. (relatively). Things are changing down there rapidly.

I've considered this.  But so far I'm way too chicken to do it.  I was never what you'd call well endowed, but it is still a thing.

A couple of my daughters have encouraged me to do it.  But for now I'll stick with cut-offs and sportsbra/Tshirt combo.

I have a similar bathing suit bottom that I haven’t tried yet. I guess keeping a towel handy will be helpful. I told my electrologist today that I can understand getting GRS due to these issues.

There are methods, or so I've heard. But it requires extreme taping, probably gluing, and there's a risk involved so YMMV. Most trans girls I've heard talk about the issue avoid actually getting wet in a bathing suit, or are at least extremely self conscious about it, until they get their bottom surgeries. Some girls simply don't GAS and expect people to be decent human beings about it.

Keep in mind, I haven't done the bathing suit thing myself. But I am curious enough to want to try at some point.

Something else that might help. There's company called unclockable that make tuck kits. They're supposed to be water proof and hide everything. I bought a couple kits a moth or two ago. I can at least say it worked good with leggings.

Would a gaff work?

Link to comment

I tried a gaff years ago and found they added more material to that area  in a bathing suit than you really want when tucking.

Tucking properly and then a tight pair of panties to hold it all in is about as good as it gets. Way more effective than a gaff.

Tried taping once many years ago and you don't want to do that trust me.

No one that hasn’t gone through the self perceived shame and guilt about the feelings we’ve had cannot understand 1. Why we need a therapist we trust. 2.  Why we suddenly need to talk to them. 3. Why things set us off and throw us into a bout of extreme depression.  4. Why we feel threatened even when we aren’t in immediate danger.  That threat may be only in our mind but it’s our need for reassurance.

Be careful about software bundled with your antivirus! Most likely they are using it to spy on you. As far as I know the only 2 VPN providers that actually protect your data (and delete it as soon as possible if they keep anything at all) are Proton VPN and Mulvad VPN - the latter one actually had their servers stormed by law enforcement and they walked away with nothing (cause Mulvad had no customer data to offer). I would avoid antiviruses altogether tbh, they're not a magic cure for internet safety and the built in one from Microsoft does its job well enough. If you're not on WIndows you don't even need one - just be smart about what you download of course.   Your web browser asking you to turn it off is probably because the browser would prefer to know your real location, just ignore it or pick a better browser, like Firefox.

It was stupid of me, the cop was in front of me in a u-turn cut in a spot I know about. I was running a little late because of the slow truck, and the cop happened to be there today. It is like one of only three places for a speed trap on my commute. I usually don’t speed as I try to leave enough of a time buffer in the morning.

The worst possible scenario is 4 points on my license, which a defensive driving course will negate it. I had considered getting a lawyer, but it is probably not worth the expense.
    • Ivy
Yeah, I was puzzling on that too…

Good luck maam 😊 I’ve experienced that they’ll lower the points , if you show up in court and pay the ticket.

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums Mealaini,   Like you I knew in my preteen years that I was meant to be a girl, but didn't have any way to bring it up in the early 1960s. It was the expanding news outlets on the telly that allowed me to understand that I may not be the only person who felt this way. Wow was my mind expanded once the internet became a reasonable research tool in the 1990s.   My grown daughter (42) is nonbinary and atheist with pagan leanings. So when I came out to her she was thrilled and wanted to dress me up and show me the world. Well I think she wanted to show me to the world. My son (45) is evangelical christian and very upset with his sister for many reasons. However he's a reluctant supporter of me as transgender. I'm out to my wife and we've been married for 48 years this June, so I'm in a very late in life transition.   The other thing that has me going down an internet rabbit hole is your location. It clearly states United Kingdom with a sub flag of Illinois. I've searched the web and can't seem to locate Illinois, UK. Am I missing something?    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Thank you for sharing, @Mealaini, and welcome.    I appreciate your description of IFS and your book recommendation. I have a few close friends who are very enthusiastic about IFS and my therapist is incorporating some of those elements into my therapy.    -Timi

Leg hair.  Shaving it was a surprisingly big decision.  (Not as big as the beard tho)  After I did it a few times, it's never really grown back.  Haven't shaved them in a couple of years and you'd never know it.  A daughter living with me doesn't shave hers, and she is much furrier than I ever was.     I don't exactly hate my living as a guy in the past.  TBH, I was never quite there anyway.  But I just dropped it.  I live full time fem, and it would bother me a lot to go back to being a guy.  But I don't have to appease family or an employer.

@Loreleiit always sucks getting a ticket for passing a slower vehicle. I'm guessing the police officer was some distance behind you until you performed your passing maneuver. My most costly ticket was from a similar situation, however we were heading out of town and the last straight stretch of road to pass the two slower vehicles ahead of me was still in a 35mph zone. I didn't see the officer behind me and as soon as I pulled out to pass he turned on his lights and siren. Since I was in the process of passing, I figured the next safe place to pull over was at the upcoming roadside park. He didn't accept that and wrote me up for passing two gaps, speed in excess of 15mph over, and failure to stop. He did not care to hear about any fellowship in public safety, and no professional curiosities would be honored.  I did go to court plead my case and the judge, and he did see my point of continuing to pass with the intentions of pulling over safely at the roadside park. He was very familiar with the location. This allowed him to drop the failure to stop charges, but I did have to pay the full 15mph over speeding ticket. So my lesson learned was to never pass when entering or leaving a small town or village.   Hugs, and good luck in court.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
