I usually wear a track suit every where I go. I’m usually fairly happy with the ambiguity. Tonight though I felt the need to dress up in private. There’s a thanksgiving potluck next weekend put on by a gender support group and I aim to go in style. I need to do something about my hair though. It’s a mess. I haven’t cut it in over two years. I think I’m going to need some makeup too to cover up the potholes left by electrolysis.

@Susan R thanks for the encouragement. It’s a long journey. In some ways I feel like I’ve only just started the chrysalis stage of the transition and the butterfly is just starting to take shape. I’m a bit nervous about peeking and poking inside the shell for fear of disrupting the metamorphosis. My instincts are to keep a lower profile.  However I have benefited immensely from reading your story, and others on this forum. ❤️ Stories of many butterflies still in transition. 
 

my fear is that I open up the chrysalis too soon and the butterfly emerges somehow incomplete.  What if I let loose and the butterfly can’t fly yet. 
 

I guess there’s only one way to find out, Huh?

I wore shoes today...actual shoes.  It was 20 degrees this morning and a thick layer of frost on the ground.  Its about the only thing that can make me ditch the sandals and put my feet in smelly little prisons.  😪

So much affirmation going on here! @Aggie1 go get your hair done for the party. It's so much fun. Two years is way to long. I love the length on you.  I now understand women's obsession with their hair stylists. It's kinda like having a girlfriend and a therapist and a beauty consultant all wrapped up in one.  haha   Mine is coming to my Vaginabration party.

 

@Ivy you are indeed on a role! The wig suits you so well.  You go gurl!

 

@Maddee OMG you are adorably cute. You go from being a sensual goddess to girl next door cute so effortlessly.

I think I may have to look into that shape of sunglasses. I need to order a new pair (prescription) that fits me better.  The problem is, because I order online and need progressive lenses, how they fit is so critical. With adjustable nose pieces I can fine tune the fit but I order some with just the pure plastic frame over the nose part and the lens aren't quite in the right place for me to see well. .

My friend took me up to get a stud in my nose today.  I'd been thinking about it for awhile, and I mentioned it when we met up Saturday.  She's the same one that went with me to get my wig.  She's determined to get me all fixed up.

I'm wondering if people will notice it.  I might not say anything about it to find out.  Heh heh.

Last night was my celebration of the end of my medical transition.  Vaginabration was a huge success with 50 of my friends. loved ones and allies. I got this hot pink jumper about a month ago and was a perfect choice for the event. Bonus to the fat that I finally got to wear my ridiculously expensive shoes!!  I lasted about 4 hours in the heels before they had to come off. Just about everyone kicked off their shoes at the same time for dancing.
